Frame-off restoration with tub painstakingly restored and professionally prepped, then finished in beautiful, bright Red. New lights, grill, bezels, side mirrors, hardware (hinges and external bolts) and bumpers. NEW taupe soft top installed with original, refinished hoops. Front and rear (ambulance style with individual soft top frames) doors appear new. Bumpers and grill finished in period correct colors. ENGINE remains stock while having been detailed. A new radiator was added with hoses, a battery, brake lines and new wiring. Underneath are new bolts, shackles, shocks and black paint –tub is finished in Red. This a bad arse FJ40 that I just don't have the time for anymore. It is a 1976 FJ40 with a clear Colorado title. It has been customized as follows: * Small Block Chevy 350 with Edelbrock 550 4 barrel carb, Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. Miles unknown but runs strong. * Custom side exhaust free flow headers * GM power steering, and transmission from a one ton truck * New Process 205 Transfer case *New Balanced Driveshafts * New Clutch and Pressure plate *New Warn Hubs * New Shocks *New 35 inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on Black steel wagon wheels including spare tire on custom swing down tire rack * Front axle is FJ40, rear is from a Toyota pickup so that it aligns with the GM transfer case, 4.10 gearing * Lock-Rite Lockers front and rear * Traction Bars and greaseable shackles and pins * Spring over axle lift * Custom rock rails all around * Older Warn Winch( not sure if it works, never hooked up) * Full Bestop Softop with cracked drivers plastic window * POR15 Undercoating Stock gauges do not work, Good oil pressure and charging on custom center mount gauges. Never passed emissions as it is not required on a vehicle of this age, but no smoking or leaks. Not the best fuel mileage or most comfy highway ride, but she does great on the trails here in Colorado and really is a blast to drive. I can help load. She is street legal, but I wouldn't want to go too far with out a good thorough once over as I have only put 500 miles on her in the last few years. Feel free to write with any questions. My Camry runs great, I've driven it 15k miles since last year. Unfortunately I am not able to register it with the paperwork I have so I will be selling it strictly as a PARTS CAR. It has a few small door dings, and some minor scuffs on the bumpers but is overall a very nice car. The A/C is really cold, and it gets almost 30mpg on the highway. Sign up for my email newsletters by adding my eBay Store to your Favorites 1976 Pontiac Trans Am 1976 Pontiac Trans Am Here is a very nice 76 Trans Am with Custom Paint, Wheels, 4-Speed, 400. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. This car runs is a good runner but has been sitting awhile so is going to need some work to get it running. It has the Big Block 400 with a 4-Speed Manual Transmission which makes this car a blast to drive. I used to start these cars up once a month or so to keep all the seals tight and the cars running but have not been able to keep up on that for awhile. This car was a runner before I parked it and I'm sure wouldn't take much to get it going again. Maybe even just a battery. The fuel should be drained as its 4-5 years old Who knows you may replace a Fuel pump Water pump or something But a Bit of tinkering and this car is set to go the pictures were from last summer so maybe a sticker is more peeled up or some minor something but this is a Tight car that is a Orig 4spd 400 Trans Am. Drive it around and Enjoy it until you decide to pull it apart and restore it..;-) Its a great driving car. This Project will make someone a GREAT Investment car But NO you cannot hop in it and drive it to Florida... No i wouldent do it after you drained the fuel either it has not been on a trip that long in God knows how long. The exterior of this car is beautiful. It is a bright orange in color with the big black and silver bird on the hood and matching decals. The paint is in very good shape still and shines up nice. It is a little faded right now just from sitting but when buffed comes out very nice. This car does have a sunroof which someone put in and should be sealed up when restored it isnt a leaker though although im sure it will at some point. The body is very straight on this car and it doesn't have any visible rust. The previous owner installed a few extra exterior lights which you can see. Has a very cool set of aftermarket Gold Wire Wheels and a set of White Walls Tires that really give this car a unique look. They also put fender flares on the car which really makes it look unique. I have never seen them Before This is a 2 Owner car that came from Arizona and never seen the road in the winter anywhere it is ready to tinker around on...;-). Options: 400 4-Speed Aftermarket Wheels Fender Flares The interior is in really good condition on this car. It has the black interior with vinyl seats. The seats are actually in very good shape. The front seats have seat covers on them which have kept them protected. The carpets are not in that great of shape and should probably be replaced. The door panels, dash, headliner are all in very good shape for this year of car. Someone took good care of the car over the years and it shows. This car is just a rare beauty that you won't find another one like. This is a cool car that someone put some time and money into to get looking good. I’ve owned this car since 2004 after it sat in a barn for 6 years. Since 2004 the entire car has been restored or upgraded with the following. The intention was to build reliable with a focus on handling, where daily driving is possible with weekend autocross events in mind. This Z would be perfect for the individual who wants to still add a few upgrades without starting from scratch. BODY: Fully repainted with silver metallic base with clear coat, all windows and doors removed. Original paint completely stripped and epoxy primer sealed. Front and rear bumpers removed. Had plans for installing a chrome 240z front bumper close to the body to give the 240z look. Marker lights removed and filled to match the body contour. California mirrors, all new window and door seals Driver and Passenger window regulators fully cleaned and greased Driver and passenger floors and frame rails replaced, all seams sealed with Tiger Seal and then painted with POR15 inside and out. Underside then coated with rubberized undercoating on the top of the POR15. Entire floor and cargo area has been covered in Eastwood sound and heat barrier before new padding and carpet installed. All window and door seals replaced with new. Dual Hella horns (very loud) SUSPENSION/DRIVETRAIN: Ground control coilover kit with Eibach 250LB springs and Tokico Illumina adjustable gas struts. Strut tubes cut 1.5” and the front welded adjustable camber plates. All bushings replaced with a urethane kit including steering coupler and rack & pinion bushings. All New hardware: · lower ball joints with spacers for camber. · Tie rod ends · front and rear wheel bearings/seals Timken brand. · U-joints on half shafts. · rubber front differential mount 1982 280ZX 5 speed transmission · Replaced fluid with Redline transmission oil · New rear driveline seal · Center Force stage 1 clutch kit, resurfaced fly wheel and new throw out bearing. · Replaced master and slave clutch cylinders and all hard and flexible fluid lines. New tires about 90% tread left. Good soft rubber excellent grip.
