It's not very noticeable, which is why I missed it until just now. The rims are my favorite part of the car. They make the car in my opinion. Current mileage: 149,272 (still driving it) Second owner of a 1986 Honda CRX. In 1989 I bought it from a Honda dealership in Northern California with 30,000 miles on it. I have been driving it ever since. It had everything except air conditioning so added a Honda Factory Air Conditioning Kit (from Honda dealership in Sacramento, California – NOT after market AC kit). Shipped CRX to Florida when I moved here in 2000. So glad I had air conditioning installed! Repainted in 2011 in factory colors. New seat covers (factory fit). New tires at 143,333 miles. Can't turn off radio, so I just turn the volume all the way down. Cassette no longer working, but all 4 speakers work great. Last timing belt and water pump changed at 133,104 miles. I have receipts for work done over the years. Sunroof started to leak, couldn't get replacement weather seals so permanently sealed it closed. Carpet in back started to dry rot so covered it with rubber-backed carpet. Cold start because it needs a carburetor isolator. First start in the morning requires fast idle warm up for a couple of minutes. There are quirks with the AC – the AC now has an extra toggle switch to turn on (right is on, left is off); sometimes the belt squeals (needs new belt) so I just turn off the switch and then turn it back on. Blows very cold air. Passenger-side door skin (gray section) broke at corner and was glued back (see picture). Driver's side CV joint is beginning to make noise on hard corners and should be replaced. This is a zippy little car and I have loved driving it for the past 26 years. But, it's time for this 60-something to start driving a car with an automatic transmission. Shipping: Buyer responsible for shipping. It is equipped with AC, the compressor turned on when I charged the system once, but the condenser needs to be replaced due to leakage, as well as one line. Comes with two new fiberglass fenders not yet installed, and a custom wing also not installed. Original fenders are damaged. Hood has minor damage on front right as pictured. It can be covered with a bra. I have all the pieces of the interior that are not seen or missing in pics. I also have a rare center arm rest that needs repair I will include. Windshield has a crack. Custom interior needs repair on driver floorboard and edge of driver seat. I will also include acura integra rear disc brake conversion trailing arms. May also have new rear shocks in storage. This car will pay for itself with gas savings getting 50+ mpg. I am also including a single din console with ashtray in like new condition. With all of the extras and custom work, the asking price is fair. Wheels are in good shape, a little rash on one maybe two. They do need paint in the center, but yet aluminum and rust free. I have a 87 CRX I am not sure which model it is . So I can not tell you if it's a HF , SI , or DX. I bought it out of a field where it had been sitting for years when I bought it in 2010 hence why it does not have many miles on it . So I went to fixing it up and making it roadworthy . I replaced all the brakes , wheel cylinders, calipers, tires , timing belt , water pump and plugs. I regularly got 47 mpg and sometimes it would hit 52 mpg. All the miles I put on it are highway miles as my job was 114 miles round trip daily. Plus whatever errands I ran. When you turn loose of the steering wheel it runs true and straight. The engine and 5 speed trans and clutch are all STRONG. As you can see the body is straight , as far as the marker light I do have it but I can not get it back in place , it was missing when I bought it . The car does not leak or use oil . I always kept it checked and NEVER let it get less than 1/2 a quart low. I am open to reasonable offers Call if you have any questions 8l2.493.six25six. I can not answer text. 1991 Honda CRX HF. This classic little Honda has served as my wife's daily driver for over five years now. We originally purchased this car on eBay in December 2010 and have enjoyed every minute behind the wheel. We are offering it for sale now because my wife is ready for a car with modern features (like power steering and power windows). This car is 98% stock, only additions are tinted windows and professionally installed seat heaters - that's right, a Honda CRX with heated seats! This is the HF (high fuel) model with a 5 speed manual transmission. The transmission shifts with all the smoothness you expect from Honda. Car regularly gets 45+ mpg (a bad tank is low 40's, we've seen as high as 53 mpg on a road trip). A/C works great. Car was repainted in 2013 after original red had faded, as Honda's red tends to do over time. This is not a perfect show car, but a very, very nice example of one of Honda's best-loved little cars. The exterior of this car is in very good shape. There are a few small dings and the trim around both rear side windows is spotted (Both doors have new-old-stock trim). In 2013 both rear wheel wells were just starting to show rust, this was professional repaired when the car was painted - however, it is now starting to reappear with a very small spot of rust (dime-sized) starting to surface on both wheel wells. The interior is in very nice shape. The only exception is the driver's seat has one rough spot that is a little worn on the side bolster close to the driver's door. The carpet on the passenger's side has a stain from where a crockpot spilled some chili as my wife was merging onto the interstate - the chili was fantastic though! Recent maintenance includes new alternator, new tires and new brakes (front and rear). Car has been serviced regularly throughout our ownership. Only current issue is that sometimes the clutch feels tight - we have had this inspected and been told that the clutch has a lot of life left in it - however, I feel it will probably need to be replaced at some point in the near future. Also, the rear window defroster has never worked since we’ve owned the car. I have tried my best to represent this car in an honest manor. It is time for me to move on from this car. I purchased this car two years ago, and it was in rough shape to say the least. Everything works as it should besides the AC. I have replaced the compressor, evap core, expansion valve, drier, and it will cool very well for about 3 weeks. After that, the Freon has all leaked back out. I was told that a shop could put in a dye that would help locate the small leak, but I have not gotten around to it. The previous owner wrecked the car a few years back in California, and I have the paperwork for it. The right fender, and the bumper was replaced. But it was considered a total loss So the title is a salvage title. The body of this crx has 269,000 on it. Back in 2010 a shop in California installed a sohc zc with 45k on it, along with a new flywheel and clutch. I believe that I still have that paperwork as well.
