1964 Cadillac Deville Convertible 129k, 429 V8. Options include power windows, power top, six way power bench seat, auto dimming headlights, power brakes and power steering. Does not have the problematic climate control of this era, has regular temperature and fan controls. Selling the '64 due to finances and I am also considering selling my 1982 Hess & Eisenhardt Eldorado convertible as well, details below. Cadillacs from this era are steadily climbing in value, especially the 1963 and 1964 body styles. Average retail value of a 64 Caddy convertible is $26k, as you can see at the link below from Hagerty.com: https://www.hagerty.com/price-guide/1964-Cadillac-DeVille"Cadillac continued to list its premium Series 62 hardtops as "de Ville" models through 1964. Along with exterior refinements for 1964, a new 340-hp 429-cid engine replaced the 390-cid variants of 1959-63, and the Turbo-Hydramatic was introduced. Devilles of this era are relatively affordable today. As period Cadillac convertible values climb with the speed of an Atlas rocket, any top-notch hardtop or convertible DeVille looks all the more appealing today."Mechanical: It has always had regular maintenance performed on schedule. I was told the 129k on the odometer is original, my mechanic thinks it is genuine as well. Recent work includes brakes, exhaust, full tuneup and front end work including bushings and ball joints, and a set of new wide whitewall tires. The power windows work perfectly, the driver's window motor was recently replaced. The power top works as well, the top was replaced about 10 years ago. The lights work, the heater works, the radio works when you turn in on and off a few times, the power antenna works and the power seat works but the switch needs replacing, new switch included. Clock does not work, gas gauge can be finicky, "trumpet" horn works. No leaks from anywhere, garage floor always dry when I pull her out. The front springs are worn and should be replaced. Always starts easily and has lots of power from the 429 V8.Cosmetic: the interior was in good to excellent shape when I bought the car except for the carpet and the driver's side of the front seat. The dash, door panels, rear panels and back seat were perfect. I replaced the carpet with factory shaped and style carpet; underneath the carpet and padding the floor was completely solid, no soft spots or repairs to the sheetmetal. I had the front seat reupholstered in the factory style; the cushions, springs and folding armrest were done and I had the shop add heated seats, they have high and low settings and work better than most factory heated seats. The chrome bumpers and brightwork are in great shape, the front bumper ends are solid (common spot for corrosion as water gathers in the bumper corners), not a hint of corrosion showing. The paint is original and looks better in the photos than in person; it's presentable but dull, I had planned on doing a nice paint job in the original white. Some small spots of body fill were done on a few spots on the body but no sheetmetal needed to be repaired. The floors, frame and trunk are solid, no patches anywhere as you see in the photo and the inner fenders are original and solid as well. I no longer have the boot cover; the clips and snaps needed replacement and while on the highway it came loose and tore mostly off. Overall she's very straight as you can see in the pix, all the door close easily as well as the trunk and hood.Runs very strong, the 428 V8 is nice and powerful and the car brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles evenly, temperature needle never varies, shifts smoothly, tracks straight and stops easily. A very dependable, cool old cruiser that's fun to take to car shows and can be used as a daily driver.--------------------------------Rare 1982 Cadillac Eldorado Hess And Eisenhardt Convertible65k original miles. Every option including touring suspension (which still works), digital cassette stereo with working display, digital dash, tilting and telescoping steering wheel, split dual power bench seats, dual visor lighted vanity mirrors, climate control, power top with boot cover and rare aluminum spoke wheels (not hubcaps). For those familiar with these 79-85 Eldorado convertibles, the Hess & Eisenhardt conversion is considered to be the most desirable. The top mechanism works easily, the top is made of heavy duty canvas with a thick roof liner inside to keep road noise to a minimum and is overall a high quality build. The top was replaced about ten years ago with the glass back window and "coach lights" mounted on the inside of the convertible top for courtesy lamps. The low mileage is original, the white leather is gorgeous with no cracking or staining even on the driver's seat. The interior overall is in excellent condition, no cracking on the door panels, dash or any of the standard spots that show wear on this era Cadillac. Recent work includes exhaust, front CV joints, upgraded A/C to modern freon and new bumper and fender fillers all around. The fuel injected V8 starts with the touch of the key. Everything works including the cruise control, the digital dash, illuminated indicators on the fenders, digital display on the stereo, power antenna, windows automatically go down when top is dropped, power top works without "help" necessary and both the hood and trunk stay open without assistance. The paint is original but still shines up nicely and the chrome is close to perfect. For sale locally for $8800, open to a reasonable offer from a serious buyer. Rare 1964 Chrysler Imperial Crown 61k original miles, 413 V8. Options include power seats, power windows. am/fm radio with rear speaker, pushbutton automatic transmission, factory rustproofing and passenger side mirror. As the link below explains, the value of the '64 Imperials is steadily increasing. The mid 60's Imperial models are particularly desirable; the engines have higher compression and increased horsepower, lots of chrome accents and bumpers that follow the trim and contours of the body; unlike the more sedate, less stylish look of the later 60's Imperial models. http://www.imperialclub.com/Articles/64Features/index.htmMechanical: The Imperial has always been regularly maintained, everything feels just as it should; from the huge doors that close easily, the precise pushbutton shifter transmission controller, the easy acceleration to the firm brake pedal. She's powerful, smooth and quiet, just a pleasure on the highway cruising along at 75. If you've had a 60's full size Mopar you know how they can begin feeling "loose" and rattle-y if not properly maintained. This is true particularly for the front end, which was entirely rebuilt about ten years ago, it is nice and tight, no wandering. Over the last few years she got a new radiator, new brakes, new alternator, new fuel pump, new 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, new starter, new engine mounts, and new valve covers and gaskets. The entire engine was pulled when the car was painted to finish the engine compartment. When that was done all the external gaskets were replaced. I bought the Chrysler from the son of the original owner. I also have the velvet finish owner's manual and other paperwork that came with the car when purchased. My mechanic told me he believes it's the original mileage considering the overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. I've had a few of these Imperials, this is the first one that had the pushbutton transmission operate like it should, it's a pleasure. All the body panels line up perfectly and the doors, hood and trunk open and close easily.Cosmetic: The Imperial was painted about 5 years ago, it's got a nice deep shine, no bodywork necessary anywhere. Interior was entirely redone by an upholstery shop that specializes in classics; all original patterns and materials were used. Everything was done; leather, vinyl, carpet, armrests, door panels, visors, headliner, etc. The leather seats look amazing, they're supple and comfortable. The door panels and rear panels are gorgeous, complete with the pop up door armrests for storage. The chrome bumpers and brightwork are in great shape, no dents, scratches, pitting or fading, they shine brilliantly. The factory rustproofing they gave these cars was very effective, the body is solid throughout as you can see from the pix of the trunk floor. When you look at, get into and drive this car it's clear that's she's always been treated with love and has spent her life as a "Garage Queen". She's roadworthy, all directional/brake/turn signal/headlights work. Engine always starts easily, even after sitting for a month or two. Cruises nicely on the highway, holds the road perfectly, 413 V8 moves this big girl easily up the highway with LOTS of power. The Chrysler tracks straight as an arrow and brakes evenly, idles perfectly and the suspension is luxurious. She is almost spotless underneath; floors and trunk completely solid, body never patched. No leaks, garage floor always dry when I take her out. Overall, it drives like an American classic luxury car should. I'm also considering selling my 62 Cadillac Convertible, new paint, top and interior. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the Imperial is for sale locally and I'm open to reasonable buy it now offers as well. I can assist with shipping in the USA or internationally if necessary, cost of shipping to paid by buyer. If you need it I can recommend a door to door auto shipper I've used many times in the past; they're professional, reliable and have great rates. Classic Rare Mopar which will only appreciate in value! Any questions feel free to call or email. 914-224-3230
