1964 Cadillac Deville Convertible 129k, 429 V8. Options include power windows, power top, six way power bench seat, auto dimming headlights, power brakes and power steering. Does not have the problematic climate control of this era, has regular temperature and fan controls. Selling the '64 due to finances and I am also considering selling my 1982 Hess & Eisenhardt Eldorado convertible as well, details below. Cadillacs from this era are steadily climbing in value, especially the 1963 and 1964 body styles. Average retail value of a 64 Caddy convertible is $26k, as you can see at the link below from Hagerty.com: https://www.hagerty.com/price-guide/1964-Cadillac-DeVille"Cadillac continued to list its premium Series 62 hardtops as "de Ville" models through 1964. Along with exterior refinements for 1964, a new 340-hp 429-cid engine replaced the 390-cid variants of 1959-63, and the Turbo-Hydramatic was introduced. Devilles of this era are relatively affordable today. As period Cadillac convertible values climb with the speed of an Atlas rocket, any top-notch hardtop or convertible DeVille looks all the more appealing today."Mechanical: It has always had regular maintenance performed on schedule. I was told the 129k on the odometer is original, my mechanic thinks it is genuine as well. Recent work includes brakes, exhaust, full tuneup and front end work including bushings and ball joints, and a set of new wide whitewall tires. The power windows work perfectly, the driver's window motor was recently replaced. The power top works as well, the top was replaced about 10 years ago. The lights work, the heater works, the radio works when you turn in on and off a few times, the power antenna works and the power seat works but the switch needs replacing, new switch included. Clock does not work, gas gauge can be finicky, "trumpet" horn works. No leaks from anywhere, garage floor always dry when I pull her out. The front springs are worn and should be replaced. Always starts easily and has lots of power from the 429 V8.Cosmetic: the interior was in good to excellent shape when I bought the car except for the carpet and the driver's side of the front seat. The dash, door panels, rear panels and back seat were perfect. I replaced the carpet with factory shaped and style carpet; underneath the carpet and padding the floor was completely solid, no soft spots or repairs to the sheetmetal. I had the front seat reupholstered in the factory style; the cushions, springs and folding armrest were done and I had the shop add heated seats, they have high and low settings and work better than most factory heated seats. The chrome bumpers and brightwork are in great shape, the front bumper ends are solid (common spot for corrosion as water gathers in the bumper corners), not a hint of corrosion showing. The paint is original and looks better in the photos than in person; it's presentable but dull, I had planned on doing a nice paint job in the original white. Some small spots of body fill were done on a few spots on the body but no sheetmetal needed to be repaired. The floors, frame and trunk are solid, no patches anywhere as you see in the photo and the inner fenders are original and solid as well. I no longer have the boot cover; the clips and snaps needed replacement and while on the highway it came loose and tore mostly off. Overall she's very straight as you can see in the pix, all the door close easily as well as the trunk and hood.Runs very strong, the 428 V8 is nice and powerful and the car brakes evenly, no pulling or fading. She idles evenly, temperature needle never varies, shifts smoothly, tracks straight and stops easily. A very dependable, cool old cruiser that's fun to take to car shows and can be used as a daily driver.--------------------------------Rare 1982 Cadillac Eldorado Hess And Eisenhardt Convertible65k original miles. Every option including touring suspension (which still works), digital cassette stereo with working display, digital dash, tilting and telescoping steering wheel, split dual power bench seats, dual visor lighted vanity mirrors, climate control, power top with boot cover and rare aluminum spoke wheels (not hubcaps). For those familiar with these 79-85 Eldorado convertibles, the Hess & Eisenhardt conversion is considered to be the most desirable. The top mechanism works easily, the top is made of heavy duty canvas with a thick roof liner inside to keep road noise to a minimum and is overall a high quality build. The top was replaced about ten years ago with the glass back window and "coach lights" mounted on the inside of the convertible top for courtesy lamps. The low mileage is original, the white leather is gorgeous with no cracking or staining even on the driver's seat. The interior overall is in excellent condition, no cracking on the door panels, dash or any of the standard spots that show wear on this era Cadillac. Recent work includes exhaust, front CV joints, upgraded A/C to modern freon and new bumper and fender fillers all around. The fuel injected V8 starts with the touch of the key. Everything works including the cruise control, the digital dash, illuminated indicators on the fenders, digital display on the stereo, power antenna, windows automatically go down when top is dropped, power top works without "help" necessary and both the hood and trunk stay open without assistance. The paint is original but still shines up nicely and the chrome is close to perfect. For sale locally for $8800, open to a reasonable offer from a serious buyer. 2002 Cadillac Eldorado ETC, Gorgeous Modern Classic, Final Production Year, One Of Only 1596 Eldos Built In '0284k, 4.6L 300hp V8. I looked up the VIN and this Eldorado was number 849 of only 1596 built in '02. What makes it even more of a rare example of this car is the triple black color combination; leather, full size coach top, and paint. This is a fully optioned ETC, purchased from original owner, low miles, rides like new. I am the second owner, the Eldorado was purchased new in Connecticut by a WWII vet who got too old to drive. He religiously maintained the Caddy, all service records included since new. Considered a modern collector car, I have the Eldo insured for $24k with classiccollector.com, $238 for the entire year, full comprehensive. As far as being a collector car, this article on Odometer.com lists the 2002 Eldorado as one of "13 Cars To Invest In Now" www.odometer.com/rides/12905/13-cars-to-invest-in-now "The Cadillac brand simply oozes luxury, and while the 2002 Eldorado is still too new to be classified as classic, experts predict that its timeless style and low production quantity will soon make it one. With a 300-hp Northstar V-8 and a beautiful interior, expect this model to become a new fan favorite." Runs perfectly quiet, no leaks or noises, garage floor aways dry when the car is pulled out. Gorgeous black leather interior, wood inlays in the steering wheel and the best heated seats I've had, factory 12 disc CD changer, every option available including auto dimming mirrors and dual climate control. A/C blows nice and cold. When windows are up and the shade for moonroof are closed, perfectly quiet on the highway at 75. Remote starter with two remotes, can start from 400-500 feet away. Recent NYS inspection sticker, title in my name. Rides like new, just a pleasure to drive and take on long trips. Recent brakes, exhaust. synthetic oil change, struts and both coil packs (four on each side, $1200 job). Will get 25-27 mpg on the highway. Paint shines up nicely, chrome wheels have a mirror shine and the interior is as plush and classy as you'd expect from a "real" Cadillac (Caddy fans will know what I mean). Earlier models had certain common problems but by 2002 the Eldorado was well designed and built to go 200k+ with basic maintenance. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally and I'm open to reasonable buy it now offers as well. I can assist with shipping in the USA or internationally if necessary, cost of shipping to paid by buyer. I can recommend a door to door auto shipper I've used in the past; they're professional, reliable and have great rates. Modern classic Caddy coupe that will only appreciate in value. Any questions feel free to email or call nine one four, 224, three two three zero.
