2001 PORSCHE BOXSTER - MUST SEE - NONE NICER At just 51,500 miles this boxster is in excellent condition. Artic Silver with Black Leather interior. 5 speed manual 2.7 flat 6 cyl. 217 h.p. Interior is perfect !! No wear on seats or carpet. Soft top is in great condition, with a clear rear window. Body is almost perfect, front end has typical stone chips, paint is a 9 out of 10 All options work as they should, I have original owners manual, and still has tool kit as well. This car has had several careful owners, each one took great care of this car and it shows. I have an older car fax that shows this car was serviced regularly at several different Porsche dealers over the years. New: Tires, Battery, Brakes. Fresh oil and filter, as well as air filters. Passed recent emissions testing. Aftermarket Stero with CD and ipod hook up. This Porsche is a great car that gets attention and is of the highest quality. One of the nicest 01 Boxsters out there. Nice Lapis blue/gray leather 2003 Porsche Boxster 2.7l six, tiptronic. Climate control, heated seats. Newer tires, 17" Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position <3000 miles. Maintenance by Euro Classics, Moraine, OH. Motul oil at 81,000, L & N IMS Retrofit installed (preventative) at about 78,000 and new water pump at about 76,000 (receipts with car). Changed oil every year no matter how few miles. Never driven in slush or snow, stays covered (nice Porsche car cover included in sale) in winter and only sees rain by mistake! Great condition on the top for year, glass heated rear window. Manual seats. Finish is excellent except for some tiny rock chips on front, a nickle sized blemish on the fender from a "bird strike", and a repair to a fiber fender/lower rocker panel protective piece. Please see photos - to anyone not familiar with the Boxster, this is a super sweet handling roadster, has the wind deflector - quiet cockpit with top down!! Climate control temp numbers faded/out (LCD) but works fine. Clock set stem broken. Handling, engine, tranny, etc A+. Porsche Club members. Sold as-is where it's at. Many photos. This is a great looking car in person. This low mileage vehicle has been well taken care of. This car is an absolute joy to drive! The brakes and tires have less than 2k miles on them. It has keyless entry, xenon headlamps and 18" wheels. The Interior is also in very good condition for the year as you can see in the pictures. It has all of the popular options such as leather seats, power windows, power top, climate control etc. The turn signal doesn't self cancel. This is a very common minor issue with these cars. Everything else works as it should. This is a clean, well kept car. It's obvious that the previous owner took great care of this car and it shows. The History This car carries a “rebuilt salvage” brand on the title. The damage was very light. The car needed only two bumpers. The rear bumper we found used in the same color. Before pictures are here. It has passed the Ohio safety inspection by the highway patrol. The title is no longer salvage but it does have a rebuild brand. It will now transfer and register like any other vehicle. Fees & Taxes The total amount due is the high bid plus our $199.00 title, license and documentation fee and your sales tax. Salvage titles are deemed such by an insurance company, not a government agency. A salvage title car is a car that an insurance company had paid off, at a point, its value to the original owner. 2. How does a car become salvage?There are many reasons for this. The most common is collision. A lot of these salvage cars, however, are simply recovered theft cars. Recovered theft cars get a salvage title if they are recovered after the original owner has been paid off. Usually this happens after 30 days. 3. I thought salvage title cars are “totaled”?“Totaled” means an economic total loss. This doesn’t usually have much to do with the extent of the damage. Regardless of mileage, the older the car is the easier it would be for an insurance company to write them off. The less expensive the car is the is the lighter the damage would have to be for an insurance company to write it off rather then repair it. The salvage industry in huge in this country. We have access to at least 80,000 cars a week through salvage auctions. The majority of those cars are, indeed, not worth repairing. But a lot of these cars have minor damage or none at all. We pick and choose cars that have light damage. We never buy anything with severe damage. If nothing else, it would not be economical for us. 4. What was the extend of the damage for this car? This is described in detail in the history section of this listing above. For almost every car we sell, we have the pictures prior to repairs being made. So you can see for yourself that all of the cars we sell have not had serious damage. 5. How common is this? The fact is that nearly all retail dealers have body shops on site. The vast majority of used cars get bodywork. The difference is that we disclose all of our repairs. Most dealers do not. This is because we believe that there is nothing wrong with buying a car that has had body work done, but you should be able to buy it for less. 6. Is this a salvage title car?. It is not.
