******* LAST YEAR OF THIS CLASSIC ******* 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Convertible. This rare car with only 1824 imported to the U.S. is Alpine White with Midnight blue interior and blue cloth top. It's listed with 89,972 miles showing on the odometer.I have owned for the car for 14 months. I believe the paint has been resprayed a pearlescent white and shows some blemishes and minor dents. The dash is in great condition, no cracks or wear. The convertible top is in great working shape with some wear. Goes up and down without hesitation. This car came factory equipped with Full power seat-left, Automatic speed control, Sound package, Air conditioning, Anti-lock brake system. Condition overview:-Engine - Starts right up and idles steady, pulls strong, no smoke on start up or leaks (oil or water)....belts and pulleys completed by previous owner. I have all the original receipts. Clutch Slave, Clutch and Master Cylinders - no leaks and works without issues. No slipping Tires - Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 with 2K miles, 2/2016Wheels - All in good condition, 2 have minor curb rash, no corrosion or flaking of the lacquer. Brakes - very good, look to have very minimal wear on rotor or pads and brakes without pulling to either side. Corrosion - a Southern car (Arizona and Texas) with no rust. All seals function. Rear half shafts - Newly replaced with grease and rear Diff oil, 8/2016 Oil + Filters + Battery - All replaced, 8/2016 Cam belt and idler wheels replaced at 45K Clutch assembly replaced at 70K Two sets of spare keys and well kept owners manual. Hood cover in blue and in great shape. Wheel bearings - Rear passenger needs replacing. I have all the bearings for all corners but haven't replaced. Will come with purchase. Exterior - A ding at the drivers rear quarter under the light....easy repair if tackled. Everywhere else is in great shape. Interior - everything works except the airbag light is on due to seat removal and carpet wash. Can be reset by Porsche dealership. No damages and AC blows cold. BagTurbo charged1987 Porsche 944 Turbo - We just bought this car from the long-term second owner, who bought the car from Motorcars Imports out of Bedford, Ohio in 1991 (note the Motorcars decal still in place on the rear valence). He was an ASE Master mechanic and did all maintenance himself. As a result, we do not have a stack of records that is commensurate with cars serviced at a dealer, but the condition of the car speaks for itself. In 2012 he did a full service including water pump and timing belt, and he documented that service with extensive photographs, as well as parts receipts. He even kept all the old parts in a box. This guy truly loved the car, and it's obvious. The car is all original paint as verified with a paintmeter, the ONLY exception being the front bumper and panel between the headlights, which is notorious on the 944 for attracting stone chips. It has never seen salty roads, winter, and probably never seen rain during his ownership, as he was fanatical. This car is very, very original, and is complete with two keys with factory leather pouches, the original option code sticker in the trunk, cargo covers, spare tire, jack, air compressor, complete tool kit and tool roll, and factory manuals with the maintenance book stamped properly. There are only a few minor modifications to the car, all done by the previous owner and noted in photos. He installed Boston Acoustic speakers in the front doors, as well as speakers in the rear trunk, which are easily removable and only impact the trunk mat. Original Blaupunkt Monterey head unit was retained. He also hardwired a radar system that is of course now outdated, but the level of craftsmanship is incredible. He installed mini toggle switches in the driver's air vent, perfectly hidden, and small warning lights in the gauge cluster. The windshield wipers are kind of cool in a ridiculous overkill sort of way - I've never seen double blade wipers before. Not even sure they've been used more than once or twice. The car also has Porsche badges installed on the front fender with adhesive - no holes drilled, and easy to remove should the new owner desire. Condition is excellent inside and out and underneath, as you can see in the photos. There are no cracks in the leather seats or in the dash. There is zero delamination on the rear window. None. The original calipers still have a good finish in the paint and lettering. All glass is original. The windshield could stand to be replaced if the new owner likes - there was a couple small cracks on the passenger side that the owner drilled and filled himself - the fix is proper but it of course doesn't look exceptionally pretty.The paint is very clean with only a few minor flaws that are pretty hard to find. The original stone guards are still on the car and they are cracking but those are a quick fix, readily available from Pelican Parts. The original underhood insulation is also present, and is of course coming apart, but most cars we see have long since had it completely scraped off, because they all do that. Overall, this is a car that stands above the rest in both condition and originality, and will please most any buyer, short of the guy trying to win the Porsche parade. Fully documented car in excellent condition. The 1989 Turbo is the same as the S package offered in 1988, but in the USA all the optional S items became standard for 1989. The ROW (rest of world) cars were still designated as an S in 1989.We bought this car from the second owner last year, who had owned it since 2000. The original owner resided in Virginia, and both of them serviced the car regularly and kept meticulous records. We have every receipt since new, including the original window sticker.We sold the car to a client in Massachusetts, who put about 500 miles on it, and decided he wanted a 911 Turbo, so we happily bought this car back.The car is all up to date on service, having received a new clutch and rear main seal in 2012, and a full service in 2011 (55,425 miles), including cam and balance belts, tensioners, a/d compressor, accessory belts, and fluids. We just had the belts re-tensioned at the same shop who did the major service, and who has been servicing the car since 2000.The car also has new Bridgestone Potenza RE11 tires all around, in the proper sizes.This is a clean, excellent condition example of an increasingly sought-after model. The front valence, hood, and fenders at one point were resprayed to address stone chips, but all factory VIN tags are in place on every panel - the car has never had any bodywork and all panels are original. The interior is fundamentally perfect with no bolster wear, no cracks in the dash, and minimal overall wear. The car is fundamentally stock with a few very minor variations, including a front Racing Dynamics strut tower brace, a later-year Porsche CDR-3 head unit, and an aftermarket replacement trunk cargo cover. The engine, suspension, exhaust, and brakes are all original and unmodified. The car is mechanically sound with no deferred maintenance and no immediate needs. All accessories, power options, and A/C function correctly. Clean stock cars such as this one are becoming hard to find in today's market.The 944 Turbo was Porsche's overachieving car of the 1980s. These cars are balanced perfectly from front to rear, and they have outstanding handling and braking. At 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, this car was just a tick behind the 911 Turbo in speed and acceleration, and with a few minor modifications, these cars can put out over 300hp with blistering acceleration times. The power these cars have will shock you- and unlike their air-cooled cousins, these cars are comfortable, predicable and easy to drive.I just took this car on a 600-mile fall trip to West Virginia and back. This car was a joy to drive though the winding mountain roads. Running a Porsche Turbo at full boost up a mountain road then rounding a hairpin turn to the next sweeping downhill turn is one of life's most exhilarating experiences- I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The paint on this car is original, and there is zero rust on the car. The body is straight and clean, and very presentable. At nearly 30 years old, the paint and body have held up well, with some minor stone nicks, chips,scratches, etc that have been brush-touched. The body panels are straight and in very good shape, with only very minor dings and marks. Overall the paint and body of this car look very presentable.The interior is in great condition. The leather seats are in very good shape with no rips or tears in the leather. The side bolsters aren't worn out, and the carpets and upholstery are clean and nice. The top edge of the dashboard has a few normal cracks, but the shift boot and steering wheel leather has held up nicely. The engine runs very well and the turbo boosts powerfully. The engine power comes on smoothly and strongly with very little lag. The clutch is strong and the transmission shifts well. The brakes are powerful and the car stops very well. The suspension is tight and compliant with no clunks or noises. The car doesn't overheat, it tracks straight and it is smooth, tight and powerful on the road. This is a reliable, great-driving car that is a lot of fun to drive.The tires have good tread remaining.This car is nearly 30 years old and it isn't perfect. Cons: The A/C compressor is noisy when it is operating. The system is currently discharged. The cruise control engages but doesn't hold a constant speed. The front foglight lenses are cracked/broken. Also the sunroof doesn't open with the switch- the cause of this is plastic gears in the sunroof mechanism- these are available from Pelican Parts.I have the clean and clear OH title in hand ready to transfer.This car is kept inside my heated warehouse in Willoughby, OH. color.Porsche gave the 944 a significant boost in 1989 with the introduction of the S2, which boasted a 3.0L 16 valve motor which increased hp and torque across the board. The S2 also came with the smoother bodywork from the 944 Turbo, as well as its larger brakes. The Cabriolet was only offered for 1990 and 1991, before they switched over to the 968. Only 2402 944 S2 Cabriolets came to the USA during the two-year production run.This one is quite likely the nicest one you will find available. It has been owned and serviced locally, and is a well-known car by the local Porsche techs and aficionados. It was shown at many different PCA events, and the owners who cared for it really loved it, and of course stored the car in the winters.It's in completely stock, unmodified condition with the exception of the roll bar shown in the photos. The "S" model was the high-performance NA Porsche 944 which was only made for two years which used many parts from the 944 Turbo. This car had the 2.5L DOHC 16V engine making 190 HP, which was 30 horsepower more than the base 944. This car also had numerous upgrades to the suspension and brakes from the 944 Turbo model, making this a very high-performing car for the time. These cars were not made in large numbers and they are collectible.I have just had over $2500 in service done to the car. Service work included replacing the transaxle, new timing belt, new cam chain tensioner guide, new motor mounts, new wheel bearings, new spark plugs, servicing the A/C system and new tires. I have been careful to do any service that might be of concern to a future buyer. I wanted to make sure this was a totally reliable and dependable car in great shape. In addition to the standard options, this car has a power driver's seat, antilock brakes, cruise control and the distinctive 16" 928-style "manhole cover" aluminum wheels.The engine in this car revs to 6800 rpm which was the highest of any 944 model. This car is a blast to drive, you'll want to rev it up between every shift. The brakes and suspension are substantially upgraded over the base-model 944 as well, and you can feel it when you drive the car. The splendid balance, the power of the 3.0 engine, and the beefier transmission sent many of these to the racing circuits. A complete timing belt service was performed about 600 miles ago. Included were the water pump, balance shafts, oil pump seals, toothed and major belts, camshaft (distributor) case, air vent hose and more (detailed invoice included). This S2 is healthy and prepared for at least the next 40,000 miles. Mileage: Always garaged by third owner since 1996 at 65,968 miles, it now has about 143,700. The odometer had a common 944 failure (plastic odometer gear) at approx.139,000 / 2011. Since 2009, the car was driven very little (eye sight). Oil changes and tire wear will attest to very low mileage during the time span. Interior: The condition of the off-white interior leather and carpet is amazing. The white carpets have always been protected with gray Porsche carpet mats, left and right, front and rear so the original carpets are nearly new looking. The white luggage compartment, protected through the years by the “roller-shade” cover, is also fresh and new looking. The anti-theft Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo,4-speaker system has a Blaupunkt 4-channel amplifier/fader, 7-segment equalizer with CD player. Exterior appearance: Front end stone nicks were filled regularly. The car has been garaged, kept clean, polished and waxed, thus always the source of wide-eyed compliments. Two areas of the car have beautiful clear coat finishes, having been repaired by a Cincinnati Porsche restoration company. The right door and rocker were deeply scarred by a boulder scrape, and the rear lower airflow wing and several other rear trunk panels had to be replaced (12/2004 detailed invoice included). The restoration experts produced perfect repairs with quality parts and invisible blends. No alignment problems. Car runs true. Disclosure: All gauges function normally, although the low-fuel warning light stays on regardless of fuel level. The digital clock / timer operates although the lower part of the face is fogged. CD disks tend not to play; they are ejected for some reason within a minute or so. The airbags may not function correctly or at all. Picky-Picky In some steering wheel positions the turn signal lever must be held in position or re-set. After starting engine, the ignition key should be nudged a bit to the left to engage the A/C and accessories.

Up for sale we have a 944 Turbo Porsche from 1986. It hasn' t been driven much since my dad bought it. From the title I think that he was third owner. It started having some problems overheating and those he took it to said they solved it, but then it would start to overheat after a couple of miles again. It hasn't been run now for years. It is and has been stored in the barn for all those years. It most likely runs, but should not be started up with out clearing gas lines and other maintenance. This is a sharp looking 944, the Guards Red paint with the 15 inch Fuchs alloy wheels are striking in this body style. The interior is black except for the seat fabric which is darker blue. Porsche script sport seats. Tires are Yokohoma ES100 215/60x15, they have 6/32" front and 5/32" rear. 5 speed manual with Porsche script sport cloth seats make it a fun drive.
