For sale is a 1988 Porsche 944. The transmission is automatic and it is in need of a new water pump. The car runs and drives but is currently parked because it is need of water pump. I am a college student and do not have the resources or funds available to make this fix. I have had the car professionally diagnosed and the water pump is the only mechanical issue. The brake light is on on the dash, but that is for the rear brakes, as the front brakes were just replaced. Before the water pump went bad, the car drove like a charm. This car has new front brakes, a new alternator, new tires, a new AC compressor and condenser and an upgraded sound system. In the back are two 12 inch kicker comp subwoofers. This is a solid car and has been very reliable other than the water pump. The only things that do not work on this car are driver's exterior door handle, the passenger's electric side view mirror adjuster, the odometer and the fog lights. Currently the odometer reads 85,370 but it broke about two weeks before the water pump broke so the actual mileage is around 85,450. The body and interior of this car are solid aside from one scratch on the front drivers side of the car (visible in first photo), a cracked mirror under the passenger's sun visor and the back carpet, which needs to be either replaced or re-covered. This car has an upgraded exhaust as well as DVD player and cold AC. This would be a great car for someone who has the resources to fix it. Buyer is responsible for shipping.

1988 Porsche 944 2 door coupe for sale. Overall good condition. Clean interior. Mechanically great. Very strong service history folder included. Recent service includes timing belt replaced 2000 miles ago, brake calipers replaced, A/C compressor replaced, seats professionally reupholstered, dash cover installed, new hatchback struts. Equipped with aftermarket Bluetooth enabled CD player with remote and hands free mic for phone. Body is sound with original paint and rust-free EXCEPT for some small rust spots on rear fenders near wheel well (see photos for close-ups) This car drives nicely with tight steering, good brakes, and smooth shifting. There is some UV wear and tear on the carpet in the rear cargo area. Extras included with sale: Haynes Service Manual, Service History folder, Old A/C compressor, old brake calipers, NEW set of brake pad wear indicator wires (currently not installed causing brake service light on dash to light up), new fuel filter and misc small extra parts. Also included is extra set of Porsche floor mats in black. Use these to keep the tan mats clean. European style front bumper with LED DRL, new radiator, new top of the line battery, silicone radiator hoses and air lines. 18 inch Wheels with 235/40ZR18 Goodyear tires, a lot life left in them.Chipped with 85.5 MAF and ECU, short shifter and sport gt steering wheel.Custom audio system, Infinity Kappa speakers, Bazooka sub, Sony Xplod amp, Sony head unit, with mp3, player, satellite radio (already installed), Pandora and bluetooth. 7 inch Navigation system with back up camera.New updated spring clutch, all engine seals has been replaced.Car always fill up with Mobil1 93 gas, and Royal Purple synthetic motor oil. One key for doors, trunk gas and ignition.Car runs perfect, it will go anywhere. A lot money has been put into this car to make it running right.Trunk lid will need to fix or be replaced, I did buy the complete latch set ($230), and the carpet is not horrible but I would replace as well, and a good paint job. Mechanically the car is very sound.That was my project car (eventually was going to do a LS1 conversion) until I got another project car and got married so this 944 needs a good home.You won't see another like that on the street.

1988 Red Porsche 944. The car has been garage kept for the 5 years that I have owned it. It has a new JVC radio with CD player. The A/C blows really cold. There are minor scratches and blemishes, to be expected, the car is 28 years old. I purchased the vehicle from a Porsche mechanic 5 years ago. The buyer can arrange and pay for shipping from south Florida to your destination. Payment will be made through Pay Pal or Certified Check. Once check is cleared you will receive a clear title, and begin the shipping process. The car rides great. up for sale is my 1985, Porsche, runs great, strong engine, trans, new timing belt,,,, tires, 75 % daily driver, odometer, stop, at 113,000. I drive 30 miles a week, I live on an island,, I have, parking issues, so I can sell it or put it in storage, in Miami,,,,it don't matter to me,,one way or other,i don't need the money....needs lot of little, things, good project car, I drive it everyday , and it turns heads everywhere....
