Up for auction is a 1980 Pontiac Bonneville 2 door that I have owned for a few years ,I planned to give it a really nice paint job and bring it back to like new condition , but I have lost storage and need to sell a few cars. I bought this car with the mileage stated as original 31,000 but it could not be verified, it was running rough and I had the carburetor rebuilt, the man rebuilding the carburetor asked me how many miles were on it ,I told him it was either 31,000 or 131,000 he told me it was definitely 31,000 because the carburetor was factory original and in such great condition, he also told me there was a factory defect in the carburetor and it must have run badly its whole life, probably the reason it had such low miles. This car now starts right up , its quiet and super smooth running ,it shifts perfectly, suspension is as tight as a new car ,and you can drive it anywhere .The body is in need of restoration ,paint is cracking and looks old, has some dings and scrapes , bumpers are pit free and very shiny ,chrome trim is very nice ,tires are in excellent condition, interior is above average, original GM mats, and owners manual . The car is located in long Island, New York.
