This 472 Hemi Barracuda was built with an open checkbook and has less than 500 street miles on it since completion. It has never seen a drag strip and is in near perfect condition. This is a one of a kind custom Hemi Mopar like no other you will find. It is a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda with a Procharged water injected professionally built 472 Hemi that dynoed out at over 1000 HP. I have receipts and pictures of the build and a dyno video with all documentation. Major modifications were done to stiffen the chassis and to the engine bay to accommodate the engine size and blower placement. The roll cage was integrated inside the front fenders and runs all the way from the front of the car to the back. It has an independent adjustable coil-over front suspension, mini tubed and the rear wheel arches were raised 3". The radiator was also built into/behind the grill to give a clean "Engine only" look to the engine bay. The list goes on and on. Building this car was no small undertaking, and it was built to be street driven, as well as for the strip. It is very well mannered and surprisingly easy to drive on the street, so don't let the insane amount of power scare you away. You won't find another pro built Hemi Mopar like this one anywhere. Engine runs smooth and quiet. I was told engine was rebuilt when restoration was done. History: It's very likely that I am the second owner of this vehicle. I have the original service certificate filled out from May 1950 that shows it was originally sold in Staunton, Il. This happens to be the same town I bought the car in in 2014. I purchased it from a dealership who told me that they received it from an older man who I believe is the original owner. The car was restored and repainted at some point, probably 20 years ago. Coming off a fresh restoration in 2015 this car was built to it's factory options and specification and looks amazing. The best part is that while it retains all of her original driveline and engine, it has a freshly built motor. The original block is bored .60 over and a 4” stroker crank bring the displacement up to 416 cid. This Hemi/6-pack eating monster absolutely rips while retaining it's original facade. The car sounds incredible and is once of the most enjoyable cars to drive. Exterior: This ‘Cuda looks great wearing a fresh coat of its original Lime Green Metallic paint. Paint work appears to have been done to a high standard; green has a nice deep glow and the slight metallic sparkle of the finish gives the car a great shine. The black hockey-stick stripe does well to accentuate the car’s muscular lines and contrasts beautifully with the green metallic paint, as do the originally optioned Magnum 500 wheels. The car underwent a very thorough restoration in 2015, so the overwhelming majority of the car is in like-new condition. There are no dents, dings, or scratches to be found anywhere on the car. All chrome is intact and very well presented,. Panel fitment is good. We do note the gap between the hood and nose is slightly off; gap is negligible on the passenger side but a bit more noticeable on the driver’s side. We chose not to re-align the hood so we could avoid potentially marring the paint anywhere. Interior: This car was originally spec’d with a dark green interior, which was swapped out for a new black leather interior during the restoration. We think the black looks fantastic and, though not original, is a welcomed change. Interior presents as new and carries the smell of fresh carpet and vinyl. Seats are free of any cracks or scratches in the slightest. Carpeting is new. Door panels, dash, headliner, and steering wheel are mint. The only part of the interior that doesn’t appear new are the gauges; which show some slight patina but look fabulous. Radio is the correct Chrysler Solid State unit, and a USB plug-in has been fitted on the underside of the dash. Odometer reads 36,366 though with the amount of work that’s been done (keep reading…) is somewhat irrelevant. Mechanical: In 2015 the car had a full engine build, to the tune of nearly $9,000. Please see the photos, as the receipt from Matt’s Motor Worx in Minnesota is documented. All features function properly. The cars braking system is all rebuilt, as are most of the mechanicals. All bushings and wearables all show nicely, as you would expect. The carb is tuned nicely and it runs great. The transmission shifts nice and crisp. The car is wonderful to drive and makes amazing smooth power plus it sounds fantastic! Underbody: As evidenced in the photos, the underbody is quite nice. There is no through rust of any sort. All casting numbers are clearly visible and components show very little wear. We notice a dent in the right forward rail that was left alone when restored. The car is properly finish underneath and looks outstanding up in the air as you can see in our pictures. Overall: This is a sharp looking, fully-sorted example of one of the Mopar greats. It has the menacing muscle car appearance, performance, and sound, all while remaining elegant with its understated color. The 416 built motor is ready to walk all over any big block you put next to it. These cars are aging very well; with the recent restoration, this one just got a second lease on life and will be enjoyed for many, many more years. There is rust in the lower quarters, lower rockers and lower fenders. The floors and trunk are near perfect and super clean. The underside of the car is beautiful. The roof and window areas all solid. The rear frame rails are perfect. The driver side left front rail under the floor and toe area has rust. Safe T Caps frame rail repair pieces are included and ready to install. They are a great way to take care of the problem and are much thicker metal than the original rail they fit over. check out there web site. The paint is still original from the stripes up. The Spring Special black vinyl top has been removed. The roof is clean and only has surface rust. The top trim is still on the car. I have replaced the driver door lower hinge and welded in door striker repair kits to fix the worn out original problem ones on both sides. I also have a passenger side lower hinge not yet installed. Both doors will require TLC and adjustment. The body is tired but has a great patina that I was going to only do the minimum and drive. Driver side front fender has some damage from a minor fender bender. There are small dents and dings throughout the original 46 tear old body. Once the Safe T Cap is on the driver side your good to romp. The included custom fit frame rail connecters will make this body ready for a big block block. This is a car that sat for about 15 year in a barn. The guy I bought it from had it for about a year and started working on the car with the intention of making it a daily driver. He owns several restored Mopars and I felt really confident buying it from him as he was very meticulous in the work he did. Here is a detailed accounting of the maintenance work done to make it road worthy in the past year. I have most receipts for parts purchased. He just had no time or space to work on it with all his other cars and it was just sitting in the garage. I am in the same boat right now and don't have time to even drive it let alone tinker with it. Replaced master cylinder, all rubber brake hoses, new pads and hardware, fully adjusted no pull or fade. This is a the best drum brake car I have had.Removed radiator and had it professionally cleaned and pressure tested. replaced all hoses and water pump.Replaced heater core and rebuilt the heater box. Both Defroster duct tubes are new and work great.New batteryNew gas tank and sending unit. New dash padDetailed instrument cluster and all gauges work. (oil pressure gauge is intermitent) New oil sending unit.New plugs, oil and filter Replacement parts not yet installed. Safety cap frame rail repair covers. You could also buy a used A" body frame rail cheap. Full frame rail connectors that have been fit perfectly to the floor this car and not installed. You can see where the floors have been cleaned for installation welding. Included a pair of good used rear window regulators. A nice crack free used windshield. All other glass good. New chrome outer door handles with reinforcement kit. 2 super clean 14" Cragar rear wheels with BFG 275 60 series tires in excellent condition with correct lug nuts and washers. These things really fill out the rear wheel openings. The original interior is all there less carpet and headliner. The bows for the headliner are included as well as all fold down rear seat parts and trim in good condition. The seats need full re-cover kits. Seat tracks in good working order. Driver and passenger window roll up and down. Rear windows need regulators replaced and are included. In summery, this is a great numbers matching driver that you can restore or hot rod while your enjoying it. I know its a 318 automatic and will never be a 100K Mopar but very cool none the less. This car is has a great vibe and really performs excellent. The choke is not currently hooked up so cold start is a bit hard. Once warm it purrs as the video show's. Trans shifts smooth and the steering is tight and responsive for and old Mopar. All lights work including turn signals, brakes, headlights, backup lights. Wipers work. No Radio. In my opinion this car has all original sheet metal and is all original with the exception of the dash pad and some other small bits. There was aftermarket AC installed early in the cars life but has been removed. All sales final and ask all questions prior to bidding. Paint in beautiful condition repainted in the original colors two toned blue. No rust on this car. Hard top model is open as a convertible but snug as a sports coupe when windows are up. Interior is in great condition. Complete tune up and new battery and new master cylinder. Horn honks and wipers wipe. It has the headlight visors and 6v Halogen bulbs shine nice and white bright. Also has nice working heater and defroster and chrome interior rear view mirror. Well cared for and always garaged. I have a lot of old documentation on this car. Please do ask any questions if any! Great different car running strong and looks good in her 64th year on earth. Its a car in very nice condition that runs smooth and is a joy a drive. Hate to see her go.

For sale today we have a barn find with a lot of potential for a winter project. We recently came across this car which has been sitting in a garage since the last time it was drove on the road in 1999. We started it up just prior to listing it, and it ran pretty good. Just in need of a good tune up and the carburetor gone through. Overall the body is in pretty good shape with only small dents and dings and a few scratches, be sure to look over the pictures carefully. However the floor boards are rusted badly, and will need completely replaced. The interior is in decent condition, in need of being reupholstered. The convertible top folds up and down nicely, but will also need reupholstered. From our understanding the car has been garage kept the entire time by its previous owner.
