UP FOR GRABS I have a 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham. THIS IS A RESTORATION PROJECT!! The last year of this body style It's fully loaded right down to the auto adjusting rear view mirror & Bose cassette deck & speakers. This one has a Rolls Royce style grille & a Continental kit that are all factory installed. It also has factory air shocks in the back. It was repainted 10 years before I bought it & it's been my daily driver for two years. It has new tires, belts, steering wheel & horn assembly, battery drivers side window motor & switches. It also has a complete Reese hitch assembly bolted to the frame with receiver & ball, BUT IT WAS NEVER USED TO TOW ANYTHING. I have all receipts for the new parts. The brakes & hoses are good, I just had new valve cover gaskets put on it. I have the original owners manual & the manual for the factory Bose cassette sound system. The spoke wheel covers have the mounting towers, hardware & tools. The heat & air do not blow right. All of the original floor mats are there they are a little dirty just like the carpeting. It starts, runs, drives, stops, & steers just fine. I always kept the car maintained, washed & vacuumed as well as the previous owner. I'm moving & can't take it with me so it must go. NO I WILL NOT COME DOWN ON MY PRICE, NO I WILL NOT STRIP IT & PART IT OUT TO YOU, I'M NOT RUNNING A CHARITY GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Relisted due to bidder entering bid on wrong car...go figure that one out. 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham, approximately 64000-65000 miles that I know about, can't imagine it has not rolled over based on its age but the engine is clean and runs smooth. Auto choke works fine and transmission runs smooth. I have had this car for 7 years now and need to clear my garage for my newer cars. I purchased this car in Colorado Springs, CO and drove it back to Chicago, was told it sat in a garage for 20 years. I had the exhaust changed, radiator flushed before the drive to Chicago. made the trip without any issues, very nice riding car and quiet engine. What I have done, new tie-rods, new upper and lower ball joints, new cv axles, new shocks in the front and load lifters in the rear (this is a heavy car). Paint and trim is slightly worn a bit but still looks good, I just think this is a beautiful car. New tires and new brakes and rotors were done. It really only needs work done on the interior now. No rust underneath one or two smaller spots. This could be your daily driver right without issues, however I do not drive in rain or snow...she stays in the garage. Due to age of the car it is sold "as-is". I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. If you local come by and take a look, not many of these around and its a beautiful car. I keep the battery on a battery tender. 26 Gal. fuel tank. Small bb crack in windshield. Previous owner put on new Landau top (blue).

This a rare collector car, a classic with regard to its unique styling and a limited production of only 2,453. It is unmolested and original except for replacement of rear fender extensions and glass top of the sun/moonroof assembly. The car was sold new in Beaverton, Oregon on 6-28-78 and the original papers reflect the buyer's name and address from the selling dealer Herzog Motors, Inc. , a dealer who survives to this day with 3rd generation family ownership as Herzog-Meier. This XS comes with its original paperwork including the sun/moonroof instructions and tool. More importantly, the original window sticker showing the exact options this car has. It also has a Driver Controlled Leveling System for the rear which is much like the leveling systems of later GM luxury cars. It is loaded with options including sunroof, red leather interior, 6-way power seats adjustable individually for driver and passenger, air conditioning, lamp out monitoring system, Driver's audible reminder for Low Coolant, Hi-Lo Voltage, Engine Hot and Lights On. Stereo is equipped with a built-in 8-track tape player and 25 tapes will be included with the sale, an OEM set of original red rubber mats for the flat floor in front with a matching mat for the rear seat floor ( a picture is included with this listing ). The passenger side also features a matching detachable litter basket covered in matching carpet mounted near the door opening. A regular set of red rubber mats ( not OEM ) is also included with the car. There is also a photo of the trunk to show a full sized spare tire and wheel, replacing a space saving spare tire and compact air inflation tank. The XS has a panoramic wrap around rear window, giving an unobstructed view with no pillars. It has a wheelbase of 122 inches, a total length of 227 inches, weighs in at 4,800 lbs, providing a smooth, luxurious ride. It also has an electronic system called MISAR that uses a 10 bit microprocessor, the first GM auto computer controlling ignition and production of power. It senses atmospheric pressure, engine vacuum, temperature and speed to determine optimum spark advance, enabling better fuel economy. Dash gauges also include one for the driver to visually see the amount of vacuum when driving to maintain top economy. The MISAR's first introduction was on the 1977 / 1978 Toronados. The 1978 Toronado was further improved by relocating the speed sensor to inside the distributor, from the crankcase pulley. The 1978 Toronado was the last of the big luxury Olds cars, used most of the drive train first introduced on the 1966 Toronado, the trailblazer that introduced the truly new style with front wheel drive, including torsion bar front suspension. The 1977 / 1978 Toronado featured a 403 cu. in. displacement engine, replacing the iconic 455 engine. Both power trains were also used on the GMC motorhome, the first motorhome designed and built from the ground up. These were built from 1973 until 1978 and three quarters of the 12,000 built are still running today. This XS has the 403 engine and it runs great. The Hydramatic transmission is 3 speed and provides smooth power throughout all speed ranges. The styling that enables the Toronado's uniqueness is a driver's compartment set rearward on the chassis, allowing a longer hood that is large but also innovative in that it is made of aluminum. This leaves a smaller than average trunk in the rear but fortunately so wide that even a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood can be accommodated. The remaining Toronado XS's are getting rarer and appreciating in value as the 70's generation looks for the cars they grew up with. My XS is a collector's car, a cream puff dream car that has standard GM parts, easy to maintain with plenty of room around the engine for service access. Along with the large number of GMC motorhomes surviving, many parts and service providers exist, assuring availability long into the future for Toronado owners. If you are looking for the best, take a close look at this one. It is not perfect but it very much the exceptional car that it started out to be, only it is getting to be rarer and rarer automobile. 1987 Oldsmobile Toronado 84,000 original miles . One owner and garage kept. No accidents and no rust ever. One repaint, newer tires, struts, battery, cat converter. Original interior is in excellent shape. Excellent daily driver, car shows, or just enjoy. There is a small dent on the trunk lid just to the left of the keyhole. There is also a few small dents on the passenger side wind shield trim. The air cond. works if you jump the relay. The power antenna is stuck in the up position This is an excellent car. You are purchasing a used 1979 Oldsmobile Toronado Convertible. Rare Vehicle! only 400 Made. ******LIKE BRAND NEW CONDITION - 24K ORIGINAL MILES! This is an absolute time capsule and can be driven anywhere without hesitation - I just drove from Michigan with it. Impressive. PERFECT, FLAWLESS interior! Has the 455 Big Block with auto transmission. It is FWD - Front Wheel Drive. It came from a garage, where it sat for many, many years untouched and covered owned by a Toronado collector. I just put it through a COMPLETE mechanical overhaul (they definitely need it when they sit idle for many years) - it includes: RARE White/Black color combination, New radial 1" whitewall tires, New brakes, rotors etc, New Shocks, New Radiator and antifreeze, New plugs, wires, distributor cap, points, New oil lube and filter, New fluids throughout, New belts and hoses, New thermostat, New A/C Compressor, A/C Freon, and related parts - has been converted to R134a A/C blows ICE COLD, New alignment, New heater hoses, New Air filter, New PCV Valve, New Pitman arm, New Idler Arm, New Battery, New rear wheel bearings and seals, New vacuum lines and tees, New breather, New heater control valve, New Water Pump, New wiper blades, etc... Extraordinary vehicle in this terrific shape! All lights work, speedometer, original am/fm radio, power windows, wipers, washers work, multi-powered seats, locks, even the clock all work as they should. This is the Brougham (nicest trim pkg available). Cosmetically, the original black vinyl top and interior are exceptional, the paint has some imperfections upon close inspection. It could use new bumper filler (the originals never held up). This car drives arrow-straight, NO smoke (why would it with 24k org miles!?), the ride can be best described like riding on a cloud. negative items I'm aware of: cruise control non-operational, driver side power seat non-operational. However the switch on the driver side door and seat motor appear to be operational. According to a mechanic a nylon gear needs to be replaced. Trip odometer reset stick is broken, could use front end alignment. positives: Recent Pennsylvania State Inspected- valid until 2016. ac is cold, air cleaner filter replaced, good tires, repaint in 2011 according to previous owner, low mileage, comfortable ride, interior to include headliner is in excellent condition Pleae keep in mind for the age of the vehicle, overall it's in very good conditon. Buyers are welcome to visually inspect prior to purchase Vehicle is for sale locally as well.

This vehicle has been well cared although not garaged. The paint is fading and there are numerous scratches and dents. The car starts right up every time no matter how long it has been sitting and not driven. Runs great and just needs some TLC from the right person to make it a truly beautiful collector's item.

I have a absolutely beautiful 1985 Black Toronado with maroon cloth interior with only 39,000 miles This vehicle looks, runs, and drives absolutely new! There is zero rust!--Nowhere! Tires are like brand new--new muffler and new starter and altenator. Just put in a new headliner that looks 100% factory! The radio works but pixels do not light. You will not find a nicer Toronado anywhere!!
