Really nice rust free car. I would call it a nice sorted driver with good paint and chrome. Interior is correct. I am a well known Oldsmobile collector and will be able to field any of your questions. I currently own a 1971 442 Convt. w-30 with a 4 speed and have had many interesting Oldsmobile's I bought it from an older gent that bought it from the Volvo Museum as a consignment car about 15+ years ago. It was a new paint, interior and top car at that time and he enjoyed the car until I bought it. I need to sell it since I live in a place with no room for the car. The 4 speed convertibles were about 190 and the A/C option is very unusual to find. You can call me for more information and I expect you to inspect the car prior to purchase. I bought this car locally and enjoyed it for the summer at local shows. 4 speed, ps, pb, a/c, posi, buckets, console, sport wheel, clock, rally wheels, aftermarket ram air hood, am/fm. This is a really nice rust free car. I would call it a nice sorted driver with good paint and chrome. Interior is correct. This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible is a California car from new, with it's original Black license plate, and a genuine 442, with correct "344" vin code. We purchased it from the gentleman who owned it since 1981 , when it was only a 12 year old car! It's offered by the Vault Classic Cars Dealership. . It's nicely equipped, too, with : 400 Oldsmobile V-8 Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission Factory Air Conditioning - Operational and Cold! Power Front Disc Brakes Power windows - work great! Power Steering Rallye Wheels Bucket Seats and console Remote Mirror Power top mechanism . That's a great looking car! . . The Rallye wheels are a great touch. . Nice! . Great Profile! Top down motoring is what this car is all about. . Nice paint job, done a while back but in very nice condition - high quality work, nice and smooth, a few chips here and there. . Excellent and correct interior, done in the original style and color. . Nice! No cracks in the dash, vibrant wood accents, and nice carpeting. . Excellent rear compartment. . The former owner upgraded the car from front bench to bucket seats and console. . Nicely done with headrests. . Here's the 400 V-8. It runs great - rebuild receipts are included from about 75,000 miles ago. I have driven this car quite a bit, and it is very pleasant to drive - fast, quiet, comfortable and smooth. . We believe the engine is the original one - it has the correct 1969 block casting number of 396026G, the number stamped on the pad on the left side matches the sequential portion of the VIN # - stamping shows 39Z 122153, and the cylinder heads are both 394648 casting numbers. . Here's a close up of the stamp pad, located on the front left side of the block, and showing the sequential VIN number that matches the car. . Here's the trim tag, showing the important 344 code signifying 442, 67 for convertible body type, and blue interior and white exterior. . . The Chrome Erson Valvecovers are a blast from the past! The former owner really maintained this car, he kept all the receipts, and there is a big thick stack of records as to the work done over the years. . Clean trunk with spare. .
