I purchased this vehicle 12 years ago as a class project for my students, and we disassembled a very completely preserved Nash. The school closed in 2006, and the Nash has been in dry storage ever since. Originally from Garland, Texas, the car was upgraded to a Custom in the mid-50s, and used only as a long-distance vacation vehicle. It was parked under a car port in 1971, and last ran in 1974. It was completely original. During the class disassembly some floor board rust was found, but the boxes are strong, the seams are very straight, and it appears this Nash has never been in an accident. Rust through on the hood from a deteriorated battery. Missing: The rear window glass, Custom script for the front fenders, and Custom 2-door interior panels (have the Super door panels). The car still has it's original rubber tires, three still hold air, the forth only briefly. Every item from the original car is included, and all of the rubber items (except tires, window rubber, and door sill rubber), are in good condition. The car has one repaint (metallic Surf Green over Surf Green.) The original upholstery was recovered, but the original still exist underneath. Everything on this car needs restoring. Includes a new PPG windshield, new brake master cylinders, NOS electric locking gas cap, NOS radio, NOS Fox Craft fender skirts, newly sealed gas tank, front inner fender panel, spotlight w/mirror, and all of the rare Brougham-only parts. I have the 1950 owners manual, ads, accessory catalogue, 1950 service manual, with a clean xerox copy, and follow-up dealer service letters for several years! All models sold for about $1,000.00. Due to the fact that the name was different, some Ajax-Nash customer's were led to believe that the Ajax Six was not a Nash car. The truth was that the Ajax was just as much a Nash model as the Nash Special Six and the Advanced Six. With the Ajax the standards of manufacture were identical except it was a smaller car. However, the motoring public did not accept the Ajax, so Nash took some extreme steps. Ajax-Nash features refined motor with 7 bearing crankshaft, 25% more power, Seats upholstery of genuine chase velmo mohair velvet, Five disc wheels, new winged radiator cap, electric clock and motor heat control by thermostatic water regulation. This Ajax-6 was sedan is finished in the original Mallard Green with black fenders and running boards and black roof. The car was repainted many years ago. The car is all original with the exception of the tires which are reproductions and the addition of the temperature gauge cluster to be able to monitor the vitals of the engine. The original interior is in good condition for being 91 years old. The car still retains the original whined up clock in the rear view mirror which still works, all the glass is the original and in good condition and the floors are solid with no sagging. The engine and transmission are in proper working order with no leaks or smoking of any kind and the car drives as it did in 1925, straight, slow and steady. This was a two owner car from new with the first owners family having it handed down from generations. Although the odometer reads 7587 miles I am unable to verify this to be actual. This is a very beautiful car that shows nicely and would be a great addition to anyone's collection. Selling my 1961 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. This little car is in immaculate condition. It draws more attention than any other car I've owned. The color is amazing, the coolest two tone coral/orange on white. It looks great on the white wall tires. The convertible is a must, because you want to be free in this little coupe. It still has the original 1.5 L I4 motor that produced 55 Bhp and it runs like a champ to this day! It starts up every time with no fuss. The 3 on the tree transmission is in great shape. The interior is the original houndstooth design. The bench seat makes it the greatest cuddler for cruising around with your wife or girlfriend on a sunday. The leather soft top is in great condition, but it is missing a button or two. I have a clean Nevada title in my name. This car is 100% restored and would be a wonderful addition to anyones garage!

1962 Nash Metropolitan Convertible I purchased this car from the second owner and close friend of mine in El Paso earlier this year. This car has spent its entire life in the arid city of El Paso.... The car had been sitting in covered storage for 25 years prior to my purchase. The beauty of buying from El Paso is the incredible climate that has preserved the vehicle. The car had very little rust when I purchased it which I had professionally cut out and welded as opposed to using bondo or filler. The car is extremely straight and runs like a top! This car has recently undergone a restoration to make it a fun everyday driver! This is a beautiful example of a '62 Met that turns heads and gets thumbs up everywhere I drive.This car was such a nice example of a Nash Metropolitan that I tried my best to keep as much of the car original as possible. There are a few issues that could be addressed to take the car to the next level. The paint job is about a month old and looks great! The paint is single stage and the colors are original to the car. There are some minor flaws in the paint that can be noticed if you're inspecting with a fine toothed comb. I did not paint under the hood or trunk as I wanted to leave those two areas original. The engine runs very well and idles smooth. The rubber on the vent windows is extremely dry and needs to be replaced.... I am including a new set of rubber for both ($130 rubber). The passenger door sticks from time to time (I believe it needs the latching mechanism adjusted). The windshield wiper motor works intermittently. I have not addressed with the motor as I never drive the car in bad weather. The steering wheel is original and does have some cracks.... I left it original as I liked the look. It could easily be wrapped or replaced. This Car is Ready to Go!!!!! The car is a looker and needs nothing to enjoy right now as it is.... It could easily be taken to the next level if you desire.
