The Ajax-Nash was only in production for two years, 1925 and 1926. The Ajax-Nash had disc wheels with the spare tire carried at the rear. Features include a slightly turned down roof at the front, drum head lights and a single piece windshield. Three models were built, a 4 door sedan, 4 door touring and a 2 door sedan. All models sold for about $1,000.00. Due to the fact that the name was different, some Ajax-Nash customer's were led to believe that the Ajax Six was not a Nash car. The truth was that the Ajax was just as much a Nash model as the Nash Special Six and the Advanced Six. With the Ajax the standards of manufacture were identical except it was a smaller car. However, the motoring public did not accept the Ajax, so Nash took some extreme steps. Ajax-Nash features refined motor with 7 bearing crankshaft, 25% more power, Seats upholstery of genuine chase velmo mohair velvet, Five disc wheels, new winged radiator cap, electric clock and motor heat control by thermostatic water regulation. This Ajax-6 was sedan is finished in the original Mallard Green with black fenders and running boards and black roof. The car was repainted many years ago. The car is all original with the exception of the tires which are reproductions and the addition of the temperature gauge cluster to be able to monitor the vitals of the engine. The original interior is in good condition for being 91 years old. The car still retains the original whined up clock in the rear view mirror which still works, all the glass is the original and in good condition and the floors are solid with no sagging. The engine and transmission are in proper working order with no leaks or smoking of any kind and the car drives as it did in 1925, straight, slow and steady. This was a two owner car from new with the first owners family having it handed down from generations. Although the odometer reads 7587 miles I am unable to verify this to be actual. This is a very beautiful car that shows nicely and would be a great addition to anyone's collection. Up for sale is a 1949 Nash Ambassador Super 2-door. Powered by a 6-cyl OHV Nash motor and an Overdrive transmission. In very nice condition with a few minor imperfections. Due to illness, this car has been sitting for the past 3 years and does require a brake job. Originally a California car, it is a fine example of a mostly rust-free Nash. It has been garage kept for years. It was repainted the original green color years ago, and some of the interior was also done at that time. Odometer shows 68,216 miles, but I do not believe that is accurate. Engine starts and runs smoothly, and the overdrive transmission shifts as it should. This Nash is equipped with an electric fuel pump. The radio does not work, the clock does work, but is currently disconnected. Some of the flat glass is cracked. Body does have some minor imperfections, dents, dings, etc. Please see photos for more details on condition, I encourage you to come see the car in person.
