Here is a gorgeous example of the iconic MGTD Mark II models! This exquisite Mark II competition roadster is number 1,127 of only 1,710 ever built between 1950 and 1953. Out of that limited production, just 700 units were a left-hand wheel, set aside for export to the U.S. market. Under the bonnet, one's eyes are immediately drawn to its charming craftsmanship, nicely accentuated by the aluminum valve cover, chromed air breathers, satin finish SU carburetors and the brilliance of the brass radiator mantel - all original, and numbers matching! A complete frame-up restoration was done circa 1969. After restoration, this Competition Roadster was only used as a Sunday driver for many years, then it semi-retired and it was only driven a few times a year to shows and parades in Riverside, CA This formidable machine, although a viable trailer-queen, can be best appreciated full throttle on the road, a reminiscent of its competition days! Always stored inside and well maintained, odometer reads 7,701, believed to be original miles. Recently restored to enhance its attributes and preserve its original '69 patina. It proudly bears minor character trades that handsomely attest to its journey. This MKll drives and shows incredibly well and it is ready for its next chapter. Representing Morris Garage, which had started as an agent for the other British brand of automobile that used that same name, MG was designed for the sporting crowd. While better known for producing economical sportsters, there were a few custom coachwork versions on MG chassis produced and these were a favorite among anyone who felt a little extra need for speed. MG cars were well engineered and lived up to their company slogan of "Safety Fast."

I intended to build a race car, but my teammates preferred the protection of a sedan. The radiator, fan etc. are in boxes along with extra clutch assembly. I installed an oil cooler and new clutch hydraulics and freed up the brakes. Passenger's floor pan could use replacing if you want a passenger. Tires are not useable. It does roll around for loading. 1952 MG TD Replica. The basic vehicle is a 1969 VW Beetle with Automatic Transmission. The Engine was rebuilt about 300 miles ago. I purchased this vehicle for my 71 year old Wife. I rebuilt the front end and installed 4 brand new tires. Since the vehicle does not have power steering my Wife found it difficult to park. The vehicle runs well with no misses and the transmission works flawlessly. The removable Hard top covers a cream colored convertible top. A fun vehicle to drive. A real "eye turner".

Very nice MGB V8 built with the best of everything. Over $22K invested. Build has 500 miles on it. 360 horsepower ATK roller 5.0 Ford motor with edelbrock aluminum heads, roller rockers etc and fresh T5 5 speed. Classic Conversions V8 kit, Fast Cars ceramic coated Headers and radiator. Huffaker fender flares by Lilves Racing and fiberglass hood with GT6 stinger that provides cool air to the engine. Special Tuning air dam and Sebring rear valence by Preform Resources. MSD 6 AL, 160 amp alternator, Miata leather seats, GPS Speedo the list goes on and on. Far to much to list here but I have a spreadsheet that documents the entire build. Just message me and Ill send it over. This car is reliable, very fast and runs cool in 100 plus degree Texas heat. Body is rust free. Bodywork is probably an 8 or 9 out of 10. It still needs some sanding around the fender flare transitions to be perfect. Car is in a custom blue pearl liquid wrap with Sterling Silver stripes. It is not perfect but looks good.

This car is a blast to drive! I get compliments on it every time I drive it! More pics here. I hate to sell it but its time for a new toy! 1976 Black MGB roadster, right hand drive imported from the UK about 3 years ago. 4 cylinder engine was fully torn down and rebuilt with hardened valve seats and everything else to prep it for unleaded gas. Dual HIF4 carburetors. 4 speed transmission with overdrive. Fully documented 9 year old restoration. Spin-off wire racing wheels with new tires. The odometer was reset when it was restored, it has about 7,500 miles on it! Barely even broken in! Paint is a very picky 7.5/10, overall is looks fantastic. The convertible top, tonneau cover, and boot cover are all in great condition. It has all new pertronix ignition, new clutch master and slave cylinders, new battery, and a new indicator stalk. I've also got a new heavy duty clutch, seat belts and miscellaneous bulbs that will go with it. For sale locally as well, I reserve the right to end this auction if it sells.

I have owned this Midget since 1993. It was my daily driver for 10 years, and a weekend car for the past 12 years. I have done regular mechanical maintenance and upgrades (e.g. new wiring, new fuel tank and lines, new steering rack, rebuilt rear end.) It has had Texas tags and safety inspection every year since 1993. Engine: Original 1500cc motor, rebuilt in 2009. Roughly 2,500 miles since the rebuild. Weber 45 DCOE carburetor. It is currently fitted with the original stock exhaust manifold, but the buyer will get a header kit that fits with this carb as part of the deal. All drivetrain work since 2007 done by a reputable Austin shop. Contact info available on request. Drive train: Original 4 speed manual transmission.. Cosmetics: The car got a cosmetic overhaul in 1993-95, including new rubber bits, carpet, dash cover and paint. Seat covers and body panels all predate 1993, and are probably original. There is minor rust on the passenger door which predates my ownership (I can supply a matched pair of Midget doors if desired.) Recent work: New tires & top. New clutch. Upgrades: 70 amp alternator. Rear Spax shock kit. Modern radio and USB power ports. What it would really like: 5-speed transmission. Feel free to contact by ebay message to receive a full 1993-2015 work history.

For sale is 1973 MGB GT that I'm selling for a friend. Her husband recently passed away and she wants to sell this car. The car is complete, as best as I can tell, but has been sitting in a field for 20+ years. Not being able to get under the car, there doesn't appear to be any rust through in the exterior metal. The floor pans appear to be intact with no obvious rust through spots (front and rear). Couldn't see the pan under the hatch back so that is still an open question. I don't know if the engine turns over as I couldn't get the bonnet (Hood) open to check. This would be a good project or as a parts car. This will be a cash only sale with the purchaser responsible for removal of the car from the field, pack-up, and transport.

Bavarian Motors 713-320-3059 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! White / Red999,999 Miles / VIN: GHNL2104066 Contact Mark Counts at Bavarian Motors at 713-320-3059 8561 Rayson Road, Ste. C Houston, TX 77380 View This Seller's Other Auctions 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! White Exterior / Red Interior VIN: GHNL2104066 2 Doors, Rear Wheel Drive, Convertible, 4 Cylinders, Manual Inventory ID: 104066 Vehicle Description In 1955, MG made the momentous decision to make a complete departure from its pre-WW II roots and introduced the "first of a new line" of cars - the MGA. First introduced at the Frankfort Motor Show, the MGA represented a radical departure from the "squared curvaceousness" of the MG T-Series. The MGA began when an MG designer, Syd Enever, penned a sleek designed for George Phillips LeMans race car. This car placed Enevers body panels on a TD frame and created an MG like no one had ever seen before. Owing to the pure beauty of Enevers work, a prototpye was built and presented to British Motor Company ("BMC") chairman, Leonard Lord. Initially, Lord rejected the idea of building the MGA because he had just signed a deal for Austin with Donald Healey (and unknowingly created what was to become the Austin Healey 3000). However, owing to falling MG sales, Lord subsequently changed his mind and ordered the MGA into production. As with all prior MG models, MG adopted a body on frame design which (essentially) took an MG Magnette chassis and bolted the (wooden) floorboards to its bottom. MG then fitted a BMC B-Series engine into the Magnettes chassis and connected it to a traditional 4 speed, non-synchromesh 1st gear transmission. The initial engine placed in the MGA was a 1489 cc engine producing between 68 and 72 horsepower. This engine (termed the "1500"), was remarkably long-lived and extremely durable. The engine gave the car a top speed of approximately 98 miles per hour and allowed the car to go from 0 to 60 in roughly 16 seconds. The original MGA came equipped with drum brakes at all corners. The car was sold with standard steel wheels but wire wheels were an available option. The convertible version of the MGA could be purchased with an optional hard top. Convertibles did not have roll-up windows and were instead equipped with highly permeable side curtains. Convertible MGAs did not come equipped with door handles. Rather, "pull strings" were attached inside the cars doors. The car - in prototypical British roadster fashion - were sparsely equipped with lights, wipers, a horn, a radio and a heater. In 1961, after "experimenting" with a Twin Cam variant and then replacing it with a 1588 cc engine, MG produced a "Mark II" version of the MGA. The "Mark II was equipped with a 1622 cc engine which produced roughly 90 horsepower. It was capable of propelling the car to 105 miles per hour and could go 0- to 60 in roughly 13 seconds. This engine greatly improved the MGAs performance. In addition, the Mark II added disc brakes. Placing aside the increased displacement and the brake modification, the most salient distinctions between the Mark I and the Mark II concerned the front grill and the brake lights. The front grill was redesigned to be "offset inwards" from the body panels while the rear taillights were rotated horizontally. In addition, the "MGA badge" on the front fenders was modified to read "Mark II." In sum total, these distinctions are somewhat minor. MGAs were (and are) widely popular. In fact, of the 101,000 MGAs produced, over 95% were exported out of England. The cars popularity can be traced to the following factors: (1) Great looks; (2) Good performance; (3) Mechanical reliability; and (4) Easy maintenance. At one point the MGA was so popular that it was actually raced in the NASCAR Grand National Series. MGAs have made numerous appearances in movies like Blue Hawaii, Animal House, Cool Runnings, and Guess Whos Coming to Dinner. Recently, the MGA made a conspicuous appearance in the Showtime series Masters of Sex. 1962 was the final year of MGA production. It was replaced by the much lower valued MGB, a car which continues to be undervalued by the marketplace. After I obtained this car, I thoroughly inspected it and found it to be in very good overall shape mechanically. The paint was new and the tires were good. The chrome was in acceptable condition and the mechanicals were solid. Further, I did not find any rust on the car or the chassis. However, in an effort to stop the incessant oil leaks that plague all MGAs, I replaced the rear pinon seal, cleaned the case ventilation system and tightened all applicable bolts. After that, I replaced the seat covers with a luxurious red vinyl and contrasting black piping. I also had the dash and cockpit pads recovered. I then sourced a new vinyl top but, given the existing soft top and the hard top, I did not install it. In all actuality, it is not absolutely necessary but it is included with the sale nevertheless. Finally, I thoroughly cleaned the car and its undercarriage. As it sits, the car does everything you would want an MGA to do - stops, starts, runs, drives, shifts - and only leaks a minimal amount of oil. Further, it is rust free, is stunningly beautiful and is in virtually perfect running order. If you are interested in seeing this car in operation then please see my YouTube channel - theBavarianMotors - for a short video. In regard to value, as of August 2015, the Hagertys website values a 1962 MGA Mark II Roadster in Condition 1 at $30,000, and a Condition 2 car at $20,600. Owing to the mechanical integrity of this car, its rust free chassis, the cosmetic enhancements I have made and its hardtop I believe that this car is closer to a number 1 car than a number 2 car and have priced it accordingly. Obviously, I am not in the car business to give cars away (and I will not give this one away) but I am open to negotiate on price. If you are interested in adding a rock solid MGA to your collection then please feel free to contact Mark Counts at 713-320-3059. Excellent paint! Rust free! Great mechanicals! New tires! Fast, sexy, reliable! Wonderful car! Additional Photos Finance Please ensure that you have obtained financing prior to bidding on one of our cars. Two seats, a snarky 4-cylinder engine and a slick-shifting manual gear box all make it one of the biggest bangs for the buck anywhere. 1979 was the end of the line for the MGB in the US, but over the decades our appreciation for them has only grown. Cars like this clean burgundy roadster are a fantastic way to enjoy a traditional British sports car for little more than pocket change. You need one that's lived a good life like this example, which has probably never seen temperatures below about 50 degrees. What that means is ultra-straight sheetmetal, good gaps, and a shiny finish on the paint that will win admirers of all ages. For a British car, this MG is also quite well assembled, and you'll note that the doors fit well, the hood snugs down tightly, and there are no signs of botched body repairs in any of the panels. You'll also note that this one has been retrofitted with the early-style chrome bumpers, which makes a huge difference in the car's look, making it the best of old and new. The paint shines up nicely, so you'll enjoy keeping it waxed, and the diminutive size means that it won't eat an entire weekend. Everyone loves the look and this one looks like it should cost a lot more than it does. The top is not currently installed as the owner wanted more storage space behind the seats, it could easily be re-installed as all the hardware is there and included with the car. Despite that small size, the cockpit is comfortable for most adults, and delivers the true British sports car experience. The bucket seats are wrapped in textured black vinyl that helps keep you cool on warm days and wears like iron. Door panels are simple, the floors are covered in basic carpet with rubber floor mats and the vinyl-clad dash is probably a lot easier to maintain than the old wood ones. Speaking of dashboards, the MGB also includes a full set of instruments with bold, simple faces and a traditional British look. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel and matching shifter knob are appropriate touches, and there's a newer Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD stereo mounted down low in the center stack. There's even a reasonably-sized trunk with a full-sized spare and jack assembly, all covered in neat black carpets. MGs were never about brute horsepower, and instead deliver a unique driving experience by virtue of a gutsy four-cylinder engine with a lot of heart. With just 1798 cc to work with, performance is still quite good given the car's light weight, and that's entirely the point. Dual carbs and an electronic ignition system give it a fantastic powerband and easy road manners without losing any of the baritone soundtrack. Combined with the light-shifting 4-speed manual gearbox, it's a delight to run it up and down through the gears, and you can explore the limits of the car's capabilities without endangering everyone else. There's a certain visceral thrill in running this MGB hard, and it rewards with great road manners and a sporting exhaust note from the fresh exhaust system. Unique alloy wheels look great and wear relatively large 185/60/14 blackwall radials. Fun and instantly recognizable, being an MGB owner puts you into some very distinguished company, all at a very affordable price.
