1992 Mercedes Benz 500 SL 85,700 miles! $9,900 For Sale is a rare and well-kept 1992 Mercedes Benz 500SL. Engine: 5.0L V8 MPI. Made in Germany. The owner would like to sell it to someone who will take good care of it. White with a Black soft top roof. White Hard top roof available. Grey leather interior. Condition average to above average. Car was inspected, with 4 New tires & brake alignment. Clear title, private seller. No known accidents. All features and electrical system is in perfect working condition, as is the A/C and convertible top. There are fewer and fewer of these surviving in such great condition. This 1992 500SL is a head-turner and attention getter. It is considered to be a future collectable and classic. This was the top of the line Benz at the time, and the original MSRP reflects that. The engine screams power and still runs like a dream. Always well kept and maintained without sparing an expense. The Bumper paint has faded a bit after 22 years but could be corrected easily. The Benz was beautifully hand made and fitted, and they certainly are always parked at the front of the valet lines here in Palm Beach. The Mercedes-Benz R129 SL-Class grand tourers were produced from 1989 through 2002. The R129 replaced the R107 SL-Class in 1989. The R107's rather dated rear diagonal swing axle gave way to a modern multi-link axle. The number of standard features was high, with electric action for the windows, mirrors, seats and convertible top.
