This desirable 2005 E55 has been extremely well cared for with many thousands of dollars spent in upgrades and preventative maintenance. The most significant includes the complete elimination of the problem prone factory Airmatic suspension with a full performance 30-way adjustable coilover conversion. The ride and handling are both significantly improved as a result. The car is completely transformed from competent to absolutely phenomenal. Wheels and tires were replaced less than a thousand miles ago as well. A list of very recent work performed includes: BC Racing coilover shocks and springs with 30-way adjustable dampening, custom built for W211 AMG E55 New factory replacement front and rear lower control arms and front lower ball joints New factory engine mounts and transmission mount New gunmetal 19" HRE P40 style wheels, 8.5" front & 9.5" rear New Continental Extreme DW summer performance tires, 245 & 275 New supercharger tensioner pulley and belt, new serpentine belt New upgraded Bosch replacement intercooler pump New replacement ABS module New engine valve cover gaskets Front & Rear factory brake pads and rotors All new fluids including, transmission, engine coolant, rear differential, and brake fluid Replacement factory spark plugs After the suspension was replaced all related items to it were turned off with a factory Star Diagnostic scan tool, there are no warning lights on or any issues at all as a result. A full factory alignment was performed and the vehicle drives flawlessly. Steering response and feel has been significantly improved as has dampening response. Gone is the floaty disconnected feel with Airmatic. At its softest dampening setting it feels similar to factory comfort mode but with much less body roll. I have it currently set 8 clicks back from full firm and it seems to be the perfect blend of body control without harshness. Overall the car drives phenomenally well with no excuses or issues. Selling due to moving on to another project, but sad to see it go.
