Fees and Taxes. 3.5.1. Dealer Fee. I charge a $199 dealer fee, which will be added to all transactions. This includes winning bids, buy it now prices, and best offers accepted. I don't make exceptions for other licensed dealers. A dealer fee covers administrative papwerork and overnight postage as well as detailing fees for each vehicle. 3.5.2. Sales Tax. 3.5.2.1. Maryland Buyers. I am required to collect sales tax at the rate applicable in your county at the time of sale. 3.5.2.2. Out-of-State Buyers. If you have the vehicle shipped to your location, we do offer very cheap shipping. I do not collect any sales tax; you will be responsible for paying your state's sales tax directly. 3.5.3. Tag & Title. 3.5.3.1. Maryland Buyers. I am required to handle your tag and title work, and I collect an estimate of those costs at the time of sale, which range from $150 to $400 depending on your specific situation. . I do not make any money on tax, tag, registration and title fees I collect. 3.5.3.2. Out-of-State Buyers. I will provide you with the vehicle's title, and you will be responsible for handling the tag and title work in your state. 3.6. Exchange Documents and Signatures. There are, unfortunately, paperwork requirements for completing the transaction, which vary depending on whether you are from out-of-state or not. These will be discussed when you contact me initially. 3.7. If You Fail to Pay or Communicate with Me. I expect the transaction to go smoothly. As I mentioned earlier, this is my 7th Mercedes diesel. I know these cars last much longer than their gasoline counterparts. Think of all the very old Mercedes you see on the road and you will notice the "D" designation on the trunk. I drove my 1979 265,000 trouble free miles before trading up to my first S class diesel in 1984. I believe whoever gets this vehicle will pleased at the amount of utility they get for the money. Lastly the few problems that exist I will have repaired and will come with a warranty from the dealer on those repairs. A deposit of $500 will be expected and certified funds at delivery for the balance.
