Looks like it was a light hit to the front bumper assembly. The insurance adjuster/body shop removed headlights/front bumper assembly during inspection of the vehicle. Front frame rails are straight, radiator support looks good, main cooling components are in tact. All airbags are good. The great news is that the car starts, engine runs great, goes into gear and we are able to drive it around within our lot. Should be a very easy fixer with no real body work and mostly reinstall of missing front end parts. We've really enjoyed the comfort, safety, power, luxury, and conversation-piece of owning a Mercedes. This has been an excellent perfect-for-everyone car. It has the acceleration, convenience, and fuel efficiency my husband wanted for commuting. And the comfort and safety features I wanted. It was ahead of its time on baby-friendly extras like car seat latches, driver-controlled sunscreen for the back window, and driver-controlled light over the back seat. Not that our baby got old enough to graduate from the rear-facing seat. We're selling because we're moving cross-country. If we buy a car again, it will surely be Mercedes.Among the many extras: cruise control, automatic headlights, power-adjustable seats, heated seats, button-controlled sunroof, many convenient storage spots (including hide-able cup holders), dual air-temp controls, and 5-CD changer. Too old for Bluetooth, but does have a car-phone setup that may be adaptable.
