FOR SALE BY OWNER 98K Actual Miles, Straight 6 Cyl Engine, Automatic Transmission, Non Smoker, Ice Cold A/C. AM/FM CD Stereo System. It has recently passed emissions and tags are good till May 2016. DESCRIPTION I purchased it used with 68,000 miles in May 2012, the odometer now reads 98,989. I believe I am the second owner. I have loved and cared for it since to keep it looking & running great. In return it has been completely reliable without major problems. The mileage I put on it is from driving once to northern Arizona & back to Phoenix and once driving to Tucson and back. The rest came from running local errands in and around Phoenix and driving to school 4 times per week. The mileage is under 100,000 which means this Jeep will qualify for some extended warranty programs you may want to look into purchasing. Also I believe it qualifies for Valvoline Oil free engine guarantee if you continue to use their products. I signed up for it but didn't follow through with saving the receipts with each oil change. (my bad). More information is available on Valvoline's website. Color: Steel Blue Pearl with Dark Slate Grey interior. I used photos taken at different times of the day within various settings to show how the paint color appears to change. I always liked that about this paint color. Please contact me if you have any questions. MAINTENANCE . PERSONALITY . CHARACTER This vehicle is 11 year old and is not without a few quirks and flaws (personality & character) which is to be expected from a used car. Of course, I will not be able to list every single little scratch, but I will try to cover the most important details to the best of my ability below so you have an idea of what to expect if you purchase it. Please be sure to contact me if you have any questions prior to making your purchase if you are shopping through eBay. I also have it listed locally through Craigslist and other media sources and have the right to end this auction at anytime should this vehicle no longer be available. TIRES The most expense you may need to put into this vehicle right away is a new set of 4 tires. The driver side rear tire is brand new, but should be used to replace the current spare which has a bubble in the sidewall. If you are on a budget you can get a way with just replacing the two front tires and replacing your spare. A Jack is included and is stored under the rear seats. WHEELS Included are 4 stock aluminum 16" x 7" wheels and one 16" x 7" steel wheel for the full size spare tire. The wheels are in good condition but do have a couple of curb scrapes and are missing a couple of the lug nut covers, which are inexpensive and can be purchased off eBay. Also the front right passenger wheel appears to be peeling its clear coat which isn't noticeable until you view it close up. Once the clear coat is gone it actually looks the same as the others. Just thought I would mention that. OIL CHANGES Oil chance and have been done every 3000 to 4000 miles using only Valvoline Maxlife High Mileage Synthetic Blend, in the red bottle since I have owned the car. It is due for an oil change now, but I will not have time to take care of this before it is sold. TRANSMISSIONThe automatic transmission is good and shifts strong without slipping. The transmission fluid is red and not burnt. A few months ago there was an issue where it was leaking but when investigated the transmission hose clamps were found missing. Don't know how that happened, but they were replaced and there have been no issues of any kind since. Please Note: When checking the transmission fluid for this vehicle it must be done with the engine warm, running with the shifter on N or in neutral. Do not check it while in Park it will not show the correct fluid amount. Not everyone knows this, so I thought I would mention it. WINDSHIELD & WIPERSThe windshield was replaced before I purchased it and is still in excellent condition. No chips or cracks and the wiper blades are good. AIR FILTER The air filter was replace with a standard filter last month after finding it was on sale. BATTERY The battery was replaced a few months ago with a recondition battery that came with a one year warranty which is still good. Should you have a problem with the battery they will exchange it. The warranty is included. VACUUM HOSES One of the vacuum hoses had cracked and was replaced with a slightly larger hose. It is secured with a zip tie but should be replaced with a correct fitting hose. I do not have an image but you will see it when you open the hood. LIFT SUPPORT STRUTS The factory Hood, Hatch & Lift Glass, lift supports will need to be replaced. You can buy replacement sets for about $20 each set or just use the included swifter handle to keep the hood or the back open while you work under the hood or load stuff into the back. PAINT, DINGS, DENTS & EXTERIOR The paint and clear coat is good, without oxidation, but there are a few small door dings and small scratches that are to be expected. There is a dent near the rear tire well, about the size of a golf ball, maybe. Whatever hit it didn't mess up the paint. It was there when I purchased it. See photo. There is also a really small dent/ding on the hood, passenger side, it looks like it could be pulled out pretty easily and also did no damage to the paint. Products have been faithfully applied to the bumpers, siding, and moldings to protect them from the hot Arizona son. They are in excellent condition. AC, WINDOWS, SEATS, FLOORS & INTERIOR The AC in this thing is the best air conditioner ever! It was 107 degrees outside the day I test drove it and I would be lying if I didn't say it was the final deciding factor for my purchase. The stereo/AM/FM/CD player and electronic dash controls all work as they should. The speakers sound great with no cracking or static. The interior is in excellent condition and is smoke free. It smelled brand new when I purchased it and still smells great. The dash is covered with a custom dash mat for protection against the hot Arizona sun and is without cracks or discolorations. The console looks great and is not cracked or faded. The carpet is in great condition, no stains or wear, but the driver side floor mat is worn through. I used the rear floor mat under the front mat to protect wear to the floor. The cloth seats overall are pretty nice. The driver seat does show slight wear on the side from sliding in with my phone attached to my hip. As soon as I realized that was happening I stopped wearing my phone to prevent further wear. There is also a couple very recent very small spots that can easily be removed on the driver seat and maybe one or two on the passenger that are barely seen. I just don't have time to deal with it. The driver seat is power and moves forward and back. It does not move up and down or tilt but you can hear the motor running if you try it. I have never investigated the problem and it was like that when I bought it. The power windows and locks all work with the exception of the passenger rear window. The window register will need to be replaced and can be purchased from eBay for $30 - $70. The part has been pulled from the window and will be included so you know exactly which part you need. The window secured in place to prevent it from falling and the power has been disabled so it will not go up or down until repaired. The power door lock does work as it should both in manual mode and with the remote. The window tint for the most part is good without bubbles but is lifting on the driver side corner. It can probably be fixed with very little effort, but I never messed with it. *I believe I covered everything I can think of. Please contact me with questions.
