This is a good driving 1977 Jeep Golden Eagle CJ5 Limited Edition. Runs and drives well and is currently registered. Always a California car. Equipped with a 258 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual, and power steering. The engine runs well but has a little noise when cold but when warmed up it is not as noticeable. Transmission is good and shifts like it should. Sits on 35 inch tires with springs still under axle. The interior has nice bucket seats with four point seat belts. Has original rear seat but needs to be reupholstered. Relatively new Besttop soft top. Also, comes with bikini top and half doors. No rust body with original paint. With a set of front fenders you would have an exceptional Jeep CJ5 Golden Eagle to use as is or an excellent candidate to restore. Not many Golden Eagles are left so don't miss your opportunity to own one of the most collectible Jeeps. This 1978 CJ7 Golden Eagle Jeep is in great condition and ready to sell. I originally purchased this vehicle from a seller down in Temecula, CA who refurbished some of the main parts (engine, Rhino lined body, paint, interior, etc.) and garaged it. It was registered in Oregon and would not pass California Smog. I bought a Holley conversion kit which switched it from carbureted to electronic fuel injection and then bought original spec'd exhaust components to comply with California smog restrictions. This car has passed and has a valid smog check certificate.
