Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1975 Jeep Cherokee Chief S in very original condition inside and out. This Jeep was bought new in late 1975 in New Jersey, and was brought to Texas not long after. This is one of the neatest Jeeps I have ever seen and has been extremely well taken care of. This Jeep was meticulously maintained and protected by its original owners and always pampered. The Jeep has just received a freshening up both cosmetically and mechanically. The Jeep has lived its life in the dry Texas climate and has always been well cared for. This Jeep was even dealer Zbarted and undercoated to ensure protection. These Jeeps were notorious for rust issues, but this Jeep has been inspected all over and is totally solid. The paint on the car is mostly original in gorgeous Bright Blue and shined up very nice but shows a few blemishes here and there which have been professionally color matched and airbrushed in. The complete upper body above the decal is all original. The bottom half of the truck was repainted several years ago and was just fully color sanded and buffed. The exterior just received a $1500 freshening and detail. The rubber seals are all in very nice shape and the jeep seals up perfect. All glass on the truck is original even the windshield! The bumpers and all other chrome trim are in excellent original condition and have been well preserved by the dry desert air with no pitting or rust issues other than one rust spot on rear lower bumper. The car is riding on the original Jeep 15" wheels with vintage Michelin white letter All Terrain tires including the original jeep hubcaps. The interior is in great shape all around and is 90% original with only a few seat panels replaced to make the interior perfect. The seats still retain the beautiful and comfortable embossed blue vinyl. Headliner and carpets are also original. All dials and controls function as they should and are illuminated at night. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. All windows work correctly and the rear window functions as it should. The underdash A/C system works great and was just serviced with a new compressor. Even all four original AMC logo floor mats are still on board! Mechanically, this Cherokee runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts quite easily. The 5.9L 360ci engine has been fully tuned up with oil change and runs like a top! The previous owner rebuilt the power plant with less than 3,000 miles on the engine build, so needless to say this thing is tight with no leaks. The transmission was also overhauled. Every mechanical system on this Jeep was gone through and given a clean bill of health. The engine compartment was fully detailed to show condition. The Jeep has been meticulously documented and has had the radiator replaced, carb replaced, intake manifold and gaskets redone, exhaust replaced, tuned up, and fully serviced. The car will include original keys, original owners manual, original dealer brochure, vintage correspondence letters from Jeep corporate, and various other papers that will delight any collector. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and most correct Cherokee that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners.
