With a masterful blend of natural materials, including tan leather on the seats, real burled walnut on the dash, and wool carpets underfoot, and there are few other automakers that can compete with Jaguar at this level. All of it is beautifully preserved, with only the front seats showing signs of wear that seems appropriate to its age and mileage.Many have tried, but no other volume manufacturer does burled walnut and leather like Jaguar. Amounts of wood that could seem excessive in other hands are entirely appropriate here. The instrument panel is completely wood, and large amounts are found on the steering wheel, doors, and console. It's the last vestige of the British Empire. Few surviving automotive marques have the romance and heritage of Jaguar.There is a brow across the top of the dash for shade, and the instruments are deeply set into the panel so glare is no problem. I am the cars second owner and purchased this wonderful automobile in March 2009 with 25k miles. Was under jaguar select warranty until 2013 ish, so full dealer maintenance, and all schedule maintenance was done. Since then have brought to local jaguar specialist. Car is great fun, but now have 2011 XKR convert. All miles on this car were from highway trips, it was only used on weekends to drive to far away places, usually with the roof down, no daily commuting. The following has been replaced in the last year : 1) all 4 tires(all Z rated , full tread) and wheel hub 2) Brake pads and rotors 3) Roof hydraulics(these are known to go after a while in these cars, was replaced under warranty, maybe slightly more then 1 year ago) AND complete Roof (somebody cut it, 3 months ago) including liner The interior is in good shape with original mats. Still have tonneau cover to hide roof when down, original sticker. The car has been extremely reliable and not required any major repair other then the roof hydraulics DEFECTS: Minor rim scratches, Minor dent on drivers side door (can only see close up, see pictures, have close up of it). 2 small scratches on rear trunk lid. Supercharger air inlets need retouching(common). Clear coat on front should be replaced. Needs a wash(as I look at it!). Alarm is draining battery and needs to be brought to dealer to reset computer(may have done this by the time this bidding starts, $200.00, nearest dealer is 30 minutes away since they closed the local one)
