Thank you for looking in. The car was parked daily (or nightly) in a garage, which accounts largely for the paint’s good condition, and other factors affected by UV rays and NY weather. Additionally, it was well-maintained and most of its service history records are available (see photo). I have a new vehicle and this car is rarely used (less than 200 miles per month). If you can believe it, I do not know every feature (especially the technical stuff) on this auto. For instance, I don’t know if I have alloy wheels or premium wheels. Anyway, one of my employees assisted me with this ad, and while it is truthful, it, most likely, does not include all the features. For instance, there are buttons and knobs whose purpose we cannot ascertain (or I don’t recall using). We included close-up photos to assist in unravelling any mysteries. Hope this helps….. Feel free to ask a question… Features with Comments Engine 4.0L V-8 engine - 290 horsepower - Car is very spirited, and I am given to understand the compression is strong Transmission Automatic 4-Speed Shiftable – Transmission is smooth and responsive – no issues Drivetrain RWD Braking and Traction ABS (4-Wheel) Comfort and Convenience Air Conditioning - working Power Windows - working Power Door Locks (remote) - working Cruise Control - working Electric mirrors – Not sure if they are heated, but the passenger side functions fully and the driver’s side works in the in/out direction only (the up/down I manually adjust) Glovebox Light – working1 key shown (2nd key is included) Steering Power Steering - working Electronic Tilt Wheel - working Entertainment and Instrumentation AM/FM Stereo - working Cassette – Who knows? Who cares? Honestly, I don’t have a cassette to even try CD (Multi Disc) – unsure on the changer (which is in the trunk) but last I used the CD player, it worked fine Antenna – working (extends and retracts) Safety and Security Dual Air Bags Side Air Bags – not sure if the car has these Leather Seats No tears. The front are heated – though the passenger side heats, one of the 3 motion functions does not work (on the passenger’s side). The driver’s side is the opposite: all motion functions work, but the heat doesn’t (I’m told it may be a fuse). (PLEASE refer to the Auction TERMS* below BEFORE bidding) This Non-smoker 1 FLORIDA OWNER 1998 JAGUAR XK8 CONVERTIBLE idles, runs, shifts and drives AS NEW, looks beautiful and costs only $110/year to insure (details upon request). The SUPER RARE AMARANTH PEARL PAINT WAS OFFERED FOR 2 YEARS ONLY. APPROXIMATELY 1000 CARS WERE MADE IN THIS COLOR. Included are the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, OWNER'S MANUAL, AND ORIGINAL RECEIPT FOR OVER $80,000 PAID BY THE FIRST OWNER. A FREE CARFAX REPORT IS INCLUDED BELOW. There are no known mechanical issues, the AC is ICE COLD the one touch power top works flawlessly and there are NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON. With the exception of the driver's front seat, the Connelly leather interior is in excellent overall condition, the upgraded Italian chrome rims shine beautifully and the tires have plenty of thread remaining. The car comes complete with a convertible top boot, factory security system, power adjustable steering wheel, heated leather seats (w/ memory), factory CD player (w/ multiple CD changer in trunk), original owner's manual, and a full sized spare tire. ALL gauges (temp,oil pressure,volts) see pic w/car idling) read normally and I have confidence driving this car anywhere. I've owned 4 XK8s and am aware of the tensioner issue. The original owner assured me the service was completed within the last year. Shortcomings are few: The driver seat back has wear from entering/exiting (see pic). However, I will include an uninstalled replacement OEM leather seat cover free w/ the car. Though there are no recorded accidents or body work evident, there are some scratches/scuffs/dings consistent with age (Please see pics) but the paint shines nicely for a 14 year old car. The car has only 102,959* original miles (The mileage* may be a little higher at auction end as I drive the car on the weekends) I've always wanted a XK in this color and when I found this one in Florida, I immediately had it shipped. I've insured it, but an unforeseen financial obligation has prompted me to part with her before registering it.
