Up for sale is my all stock and original 2008 Honda S2000 with 21K miles!! Let me start by saying this car is in beyond amazing condition and as clean if not cleaner than any other S2 out there. This car was a garage queen and the exterior is a 9.5 out of 10 and the interior is a 10 given the fact this an 8 year old car. Anyone who knows these cars recognizes how hard these are to find with low miles and good condition. The car drives absolutely perfect and comes with a virtual brand new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires ($750) installed. Convertible top works perfectly and is in prestine condition with no holes. Car has always been garaged and was always owned locally within a 50 mile radius. I bought this as the weekend car of my dreams, but I have had some sudden life changes that will not allow me to keep this car due to job relocation. I simply couldn't bring myself to just keep it in storage and never get to drive it. If you have been searching for one of these in this type of condition, then this is it. Only 855 of these cars were produced in Chicane Silver in 2008 with black interior. The car was then discontinued the following year. S2000 is in VERY good condition. there has been no modification to this vehicle and all vin numbers are present on all panels of car including doors trunk lid, hood, bumpers ect. paint is excellent no chipping or fading. black top is in perfect condition with no rips or fading. black top has no leaks around windows. rims have no road rash at all. tires are brand new. interior has no rips and seats are firm with no wear. motor compartment has no leaks and extremely clean. stock radio. cold ac and hot heat. outside controls for radio all work. push button start. stock shifter knob. transmission shifts smooth and clutch engages about half way out. v tech engages around 5500-6000 rpm. trunk has spare tire (never used) jack and manuals to vehicle. car has been garaged kept and maintenance performed with 70% oil life remaining. clean title with no accidents and title in hand. Why on the world would ANYONE want to buy a 13 year old car with only 26,000 – 36,000 miles on it? Would the seals be good or would they be drying out? Would the tires have ever been changed – or would they still be the original set (susceptible to dry rot)? Oil changed what? Once per year? (When oil drains completely into the sump while sitting for months on end not being driven, is the engine susceptible to excessive wear upon start-up because of “metal to metal” friction)? Wouldn't you rather purchase a car that’s been regularly driven and regularly serviced. If that’s what you’re looking for – THIS CAR’S FOR YOU. This garage kept S2000 is in excellent shape. It runs like a brand new car! Handles magnificently. Plenty of tread on the tires. No bruises or scratches on the wheels. New convertible top. Recently replaced rear brakes with Wagner Quiet Discs. Mostly original car (although radio has been upgraded to remote controlled CD/DVD player & yes, it does play DVD’s while moving). As you might expect from a car with 142K miles, there are a few minor dings (I’ve pictured them for all to see). There are only a few and they are MINOR! I absolutely love this car … (It’s NOT a daily driver for me - I have 2 other cars, 2 motorcycles, a golf cart and a power bike – so SOMETHING’S gotta go! Both front and rear have plenty of tread depthFormula 1 ceramic tint, doors and rear window are 28% (I think? It's around 30%) and the windshield is 50%. Ferodo DS2500 pads, fronts replaced about a month ago and rears replaced in March or April Front rotors replaced in March or April with Centric PremiumClutch master cylinder replaced in March or AprilOEM rear headrest speakers I bought the car with ~70k miles on it in July 2012. I flushed all of the fluids when I got it back (brake, clutch, oil, rear diff, tranny, coolant). Since then, I've changed the oil every 5000 miles with Amsoil Signature 5W30, rear diff every 15,000 (70, 85, 100, 115) miles with Amsoil Severe Gear, and tranny every 30,000 (70, 100) miles with Amsoil Synchromesh. The coolant was replaced with OEM Honda. The clutch and brake fluids were flushed in March or April with ATE Super Blue. I can provide receipts for some of the fluid purchases, but probably not all. The car has never broken down on me and has been very reliable; however, the front drivers side shock is starting to leak. I have not noticed any degradation in handling, just the next maintenance wear and tear item that will have to be replaced. The body is clean, but has seen use. The front bumper is pitted and could use a respray. However, nothing unusual for a car with 116k miles on it. The windshield is also pitted and there is a rock chip on the passenger side, out of the field of vision. Normal rock chips on the hood. The car was rear-ended before I bought it; however, this does not show up on Car Fax. I know because the rear bumper is missing a VIN sticker. In addition, the car was hit while parked in a parking lot. The damage was not major (~$1000, including labor and paint) and no parts were replaced. I have included pictures below. The passenger door has a door ding, seen below. At least one wheel has curb rash. The rest of the wheels are pitted as a result of brake dust and age. The interior has normal wear on the drivers seat. The passenger seat is mint or near mint. The original floor mats have seen better days and I replaced them in April. They are black, which contrasts with the red carpet. It looks great. There is a Kenwood KDC-BT952HD head unit. I wanted this design of head unit because the USB input comes out the rear of the head unit, which allows the front door to close. A lot of newer head units have the USB input on the front. The head unit is hooked up to a Modifry DCI which allows the controls on the left side to be used. The car also has the Modifry dash bracket for a cell phone. The glove box has a Modifry glove box organizer. The lever in the cup holder is broken, as shown below, but the stock cup holders are pretty much useless anyways so it's no big loss IMO. The steering wheel has some wear, nothing unusual for the age, see picture below. The alarm system is a little wonky. The siren isn't currently working nor do the lights flash. The remote works to lock and unlock the car, as does the Viper cell phone app. I only have one remote for the alarm system because the other one broke. I have other remotes for the car pre-alarm system. I'm selling because I want to get something that's slightly more practical and comfortable. I'd love to keep the car as a second car but I don't have the space for it. These are pictures that I took last November. There is a small crease just above my finger here: The drivers seat wear has gotten slightly worse: New floor mats: Other than that, the car is the same as it was above.
