Please take 5 minutes to read the full description and examine each photo if you are seriously interested in the truck. I'll be glad to answer questions not addressed here. The time has come to possibly sell my like new collectable Ford Ranger Splash. I'm aware that "collectable" and "Ranger" are not words that are commonly used together. They will probably be more commonly used together in the near future since the US version of the Ford Ranger was discontinued in 2011. (Some 2012 Rangers were made in the US for fleet service.) I think it's likely people will one day collect and restore Rangers as many have begun to do with Bronco II trucks that people used to think would never be desirable. They now bring big bucks when you can find them. I have owned this little time capsule close to 4 years and I have enjoyed owning it. It's common for people, especially in the last 20+ years, to buy Mustangs and other "sporty" cars and not drive them. Extremely low mileage 15-20 year old Mustangs can be bought pretty much any day of the week somewhere in the county. You won't find another Ranger, let alone a Splash, like this one. There may not be the same demand for a Ranger and a Mustang, but the like new Ranger Splash supply is limited to one. It's likely that this is the lowest mile Ford Ranger in existence, of any year, of any trim. The gentleman who bought this new in 1994 was probably the only person who chose to buy a 17k sporty version of a Ford Ranger and then keep it as a collector's truck in near mint condition. That person was not me, I am the second owner. I have been a Splash fan for 15 years since I bought one for my first truck when I was 16. I bought this truck from the original owner when he began to have health issues. It had 1442 miles on it then in December 2011. I had communicated with him for a couple years prior to him agreeing to sell it to me. I never had any intentions of selling it, but with a toddler running around now, priorities change. I'd love to see it go to someone who could preserve it's low miles and like factory new condition, but ultimately it's up to the buyer whether this truck gets driven or not. It would be great if the truck could be taken and shown at car shows. I have the original window sticker, dealer advertisements, personalized dealer calendar given to the original buyer, all original keys & key ID tag, owner's manual, and hand-written service history w/mileage log. The previous owner kept written records of when he changed the oil, changed and flushed the engine coolant, performed brake fluid flushes, and other maintenance items he completed over the 17 years he owned it. I also have the Ford official build sheet signed off by Elena Ford. I installed a brand new $400 Ford OEM fuel pump in 2013. The trip odometer shows how many miles the truck has been driven since the fuel pump was replaced. Right now it's at 2.6 miles. I kept the original fuel pump that came out of the truck. I have the receipt and box for the new one. The truck has been cranked and allowed to reach normal operating temperature on a regular basis (often weekly, sometimes monthly) to keep the bearings and seals lubricated. The truck has only had 90 octane non-ethanol fuel since I have owned it. I am also including a new set of Ford OEM embroidered "Ranger" color keyed matching floor mats. Please note how immaculate even the underside of the truck is in the photo. The exhaust pipe still looks like new steel and is not rusted. The blue interior was a special order item and is also very rare to find. Most interiors were gray. The truck is a solid 9.5/10. The truck really is as clean and near mint in person as it looks in the photos. The truck has never been rained on nor driven on wet roads and has only been hand washed a few times in it's life. The only minor imperfections are under the battery where water got at some point and it left a few small rust spots on the battery tray that are about the size of a nickel. I have never washed the truck. I have only dusted it with a California car duster a few times. If you are comfortable washing and waxing it, I'm sure it would shine even more. The vehicle AirChamber that the truck is stored in is NOT included with the sale. The tires are the original tires it rolled off the assembly line with. They are NOT dry rotted. I know, that's hard to believe, but it's true and I am picky about tires. I hope the truck can keep it's original tires for as long as possible! If you intend to drive the truck, do not drive on 22 year old tires. The radio antenna is included although it is not on the truck in the picture. It is removed so that it does not hit the bubble when it's pulled in and out. The battery is kept on a battery tender all the time and is in perfect condition and very strong. It is a Ford OEM battery bought in 2012. It is a large 850cca battery. A/C is absolutely ICE COLD and the heat works perfectly too. 4.0L V6 EFI Engine 4-Speed AUTOMATIC O/D Transmission 3:55 Ratio Limited Slip Rear Axle Sport Bucket Seats w/Power Lumbar on Driver's and Passenger's Side Center Floor Console w/Armrest (Color Keyed) Super Cooling Pkg (Thicker Radiator) Cruise Control Tilt Steering Wheel R134A Air Conditioning Ford Factory Bedliner (Never had anything in it, bed paint is perfect under liner. See photo.) Preferred Equipment Pkg.866A Sliding Rear Window Tachometer Power Mirrors Power Steering Power Brakes AM/FM Cassette Stereo w/4 Speakers Odometer is 100% accurate and reads 001,449 and 7 tenths. The mileage should not change by more than a few miles, if at all. Most people know enough about to cars to tell the mileage is accurate by looking at a few key things. Zero people have doubts when they see the truck in person. Because it is such an unbelievable truck, some "internet experts" have sent messages questioning the mileage as well as wanting to share their personal philosophy about my truck. Not interested. If you're a serious buyer, rest assured you'll have zero reservations about my truck when you see and inspect it. There are some obvious things that will point you in the right direction regarding the mileage and condition. You don't have to have any mechanical knowledge to see them either. Some things to consider are: 1) The tires are the actual original tires it rolled off the assembly line with. You verify this by the date code stamped on every tire's sidewall. You may need to Google to see what the code means, but it's there. 2) The tires have never been dismounted from the rims. You know this by looking at the single wheel balance weight and the lack or any previous weight mark on a chromed wheel. 3) The odometer is 6 digits, unlike the majority of Rangers that had 5 place value digits. If it were to have "rolled over", it would have over 1 million miles. That would be more impressive than the mileage it actually has. 4) With even 20k-30k miles, most white fluid reservoirs (like washer fluid and coolant) turn yellow and cloud. Mine are still shiny white. You can see this in the pictures. 5) The interior has zero wear, especially on pedals, door panels, and consoles where drivers rub, wear, and scuff them. 6) The engine is spotless and all the parts still look new. They don't look "pressure washed new". They look "just manufactured" new. The valve covers are original paint, decals, and spotless. 7) The vehicle history report is very short. There were few "life events" in which the mileage needed to be recorded. (I.e. If it had been tagged and driven a lot, it would have yearly emissions and mileage records.) 8) It would be pointless to have so much documentation and original dealer items if the truck had not been kept as a showroom collectable from day 1. 9) The paint is nice and original on every panel. The Splash decals are mint and have zero fading or peeling. These are irreplaceable. No rock chips from regular road debris. Underside of truck is very clean and looks new. 10) It's a truck. It would have likely been used to haul. My bed is 100% mint perfect under the bedliner. The bedliner has never had anything in it and it's like new. It's a Ford factory liner. 11) Then of course there are the mechanical components that any mildly knowledgably car guy could inspect and know their condition is consistent with an extremely low mileage vehicle. Please inspect the pictures and I welcome calls or questions from seriously interested parties @ 678-591-8014. No test drives, no tire kickers. No trades. I prefer payment in person via a wire transfer at my local Wells Fargo Bank in Peachtree City, GA 30269. My second preference would be a Wells Fargo Cashier's Check and we will still meet at the local Wells Fargo. I will accept all cash as well, but you will likely be listed on the forms required by the bank for me to deposit that much cash. I will not ship the truck. I drove 1700 miles to pick it up and trailered it home in an enclosed hauler when I bought it. I am requesting a $250 deposit immediately after the auction ends to cover eBay and PayPal's fees. If you arrive in person to see the truck and it's not what I said and you complete the process through eBay to cancel the transaction, I'll gladly refund the deposit. If you do not show, the deposit will be used to cover the fees charged. Please check my outstanding feedback, my buyers are happy!

1996 FORD RANGER "SPLASH" EDITION This is a great little economical truck, 4cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission, cold air, heat works also, no leaks or smoke. Has a few scratches here and there and as I mentioned earlier the original seats have some stains and a small what looks like cigarette burn. Didn't even try to clean, we had installed some slip on covers for now. Remainder of the interior is very nice, all glass is good. I haven't owned the truck very long so don't have much history to tell you. There is no rust, frame is clean underneath, engine bay also clean showing no leaks, looks like it has been taken care of. Truck has an aftermarket am/fm/cd stereo radio with remote. The truck drives fine and I am sure it will make somebody a nice little truck. I have put a buy it now so you know where I am at on price. Keep in mind this is a 1996 and not a new truck, I recommend you come look and see and drive before purchasing. I also have this truck for sale locally so I may end the auction early. My home phone # is 706-838-0396, if I do not answer leave a message I will get back to you.
