Item Description: Ficus_Picker would like to cordially invite you to bid on a 1962 FORD GALAXIE COUNTRY SEDAN WAGON… It has been prepped for paint although with recent rain a bit of rust is on top gutters. The interior needs work and may have pitting or rust although the trim is painted black and the rear seat is to be worth $1000 alone. Wagon turns on and I’ve (owner) driven it but the mechanic recommended Transmission and Engine to be worked on - added a new picture of engine. The Gauges will need to get connected and functional. I was going to get the wire harness next but had to stop. The bumpers will need re-chroming if you want a show shine...I have paperwork from Oklahoma. I (owner) just bought a home up in Northern California so won’t be able to work on this project anymore. It’s currently at my mechanics shop. Lots of brand new parts, modifications and hard work went into this project… What I (owner) did; P 1) Prepped for paint (body work and primered, may need little work) 2) Changed Windshield 3) New Carburetor 4) Fixed Electrical (not including gauges) 5) New Disc brakes - FRONT AND REAR DISC BRAKE CONVERSION 6) New shocks 7) Brand new rims (months old, just dusty) 8) New four tires 9) New custom Steering wheel 10) Cleaned Gas Tank and lines 11) Brand new Molding clips 12) Have Skirts at home 13) Power windows made functional one new switch14) New Key Gas Cap15) New Fuel Door Guard16) New Door Ignition, Locks With Keys 17) Two New Tail lights ***and will add more things as they are recalled... What you see in pictures is what you get so please see all and ask any questions… Ficus_Picker (Me) am selling this vehicle for a dear friend… ABOUT “ME” My ultimate goal is to provide quality used and sometimes new items at a reasonable price and great service. I rarely set reserve prices, I just let the Ebayers decide that; and I try to keep shipping/handling prices to a minimum. All sellers pay fees to EBay and PayPal so please understand that part of the sale. Also, check out my buyer feedback, as you can see it speaks for itself. Thank you for your bids and I hope to have your business again in the near future. Please visit my EBay store to see what else is up for auction and even add me to your list of “favorite sellers” so you can be the first to see what new items I have available daily. PAYMENT & SHIPPING Payments required 48 hours after the end of the auction or buy it now. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any additional questions. I usually ship via the USPS because it has worked well for me thus far. Doesn’t mean I can’t ship FedEx or UPS. If you prefer other services than the post office I will gladly give you a quote upon your request. Shipping to lower 48 U.S. states only, but will consider shipping internationally at added cost. When shipping internationally, the seller is not accountable for any uncontrollable time frame on delivery dates due to customs or any other unforeseen setbacks. Most items are “picked” at swap meets, yard sales, Estate Sales and/or barn finds. A great deal of time, travel and effort is put into finding unique items, making them a unique item, but especially that one thing that someone out in the Ebay universe might want… NOTE ABOUT FEEDBACK: When you receive your item please remember to leave positive feedback. If there are problems please communicate those right away and I will do my best to fix it if we can. Above all, I want to work with buyers and provide quick and fair customer service, so please contact me if you are unhappy with your purchase. 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie Skyliner Retractable Convertible For your consideration is "Lola", a 1959 Ford Skyliner. Like the song from the 1955 film, Damn Yankees..."What Lola Wants, Lola Gets". This beauty was bought 8 years ago in very nice shape, and I have slowly made her better. This is an almost all original car, save for the continental kit and interior upholstery. In fact, I won "Best Original Car" at the local car show/chili cookoff two years ago. Please take time to peruse the many pictures by letting your computer upload the images....you wont be dis-appointed. Lola is a great specimen and example of the finest that Ford had to offer in 1959. This is NOT a 100 point car by any means, by then again, this automobile is not listed for $60-70,000 either. What you will find is a very nice grade 2 (two) classic. The restoration was initially done about 10 years ago in Colorado. This car has been mostly in the dry southern part of Colorado and here in the Eastern Sacramento area. There is really no rust to speak of other than some blistering on the front right rocker, maybe the size of a quarter. This beauty runs great at any speed, and the only problem I would note is a slight hesitation off the start....something I attribute to maybe a needed carb adjustment, but more probable the vacuum advance to the tranny. That being said, those are the two items which need attention. Now for the good stuff............ As you can see from the pictures, this car is one nice ride. Well taken care of by the previous owner, and made better by these additions........ The rare Flying Elipse Hood Ornament Rear Continental Kit Brand New Coker Tires w/3 inch Whitewalls Ford Tissue Holder 4 Starburst Wheel Covers Painted Luggage Tub and Custom Cover California 1956 Plates Fender Skirts The rare Front and Rear Bumper Gaurds (Dagmars) The automobile comes with the popular 332 CI Thunderbird Special V8 Engine, Power Steering, Power Brakes, AM Radio, Newly Rebuilt Front Steering Linkages. As an added bonus, this classic has had the whole Retractable Roof system overhauled by the pre-imminent "Skyliner Roof" guru, Wayne Rollins in 2012. Everything works as it should. The motor does not smoke, the radiator does not leak, and power steering and power brake reservoirs seem to be tight. Since the car has been sheltered since the restoration in 2005, the interior still seems new. The paint was done professionally in the Salman/Geranium color that was so popular in 1959. The original owner ordered this one to have the "two tone" option and sports the Colonial White on the center strip and trunk/hood. As it is 10 years old, you will find a number of nicks in the paint, but that is to be expected. Again, this is NOT a 100 point trailer queen....just a head turning son of a gun! The numbers match on the car, and I have supplied the specs at the bottom of the listing, so you can see where it was made, and when. Including the details of the drivetrain. The roof was designed to be used regularly, and the more you use it, the better. People seem to love the action of lowering and raising the roof. Kids think its some sort of "Transformer" toy. If you ever wanted a classic car from the 50s, and one where you get a convertible to boot, then Lola is for you. Factor in the "collectible" value, and you have an easy decision to make. I am retiring, and will need to cull my car collection and finish restoring my Model A, so I have to say good bye to Lola. But she has made me happy these past 8 years. I will help in anyway I can with delivery to your home, just ask.

this galaxie came out of a garage in Idaho one owner. very original car and it runs good. has about 133k miles on it and has never been apart. factory original carburetor, distributor all the factory stuff is all still there. it has a big block 352 with a factory holley 4bbl carb and an automatic trans.this has been sitting for a few years and tires are showing there age. i have driven it for about 100 miles and all systems seem to work except the fuel gauge, i haven't been able to figure that out. it also has a rear end howl at about 50mph so that will need to be addressed. at one point the owner put a lower gear in the rear end so the speedo reads faster than you are going. so the actual mileage is lower than indicated. the interior was originally green and was in very poor shape so a new factory correct black interior was installed. including new carpets, head liner, front and rear seats along with new front and rear door panels arm rests and a very expensive wind shield. there is no rust in this car, i have gone over all of it and the body is very strait there is a small stress crack at the base of the rear window that is shown in the pictures. take a good look at the pictures and you will see how nice and original this galaxie is. feel free to email or call with any questions.
