The interior needs work and may have pitting or rust although the trim is painted black and the rear seat is to be worth $1000 alone. Wagon turns on and I’ve (owner) driven it but the mechanic recommended Transmission and Engine to be worked on - added a new picture of engine. The Gauges will need to get connected and functional. I was going to get the wire harness next but had to stop. The bumpers will need re-chroming if you want a show shine...I have paperwork from Oklahoma. I (owner) just bought a home up in Northern California so won’t be able to work on this project anymore. It’s currently at my mechanics shop. For sale 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible 390. The car was bought June of 2014, the previous owner had the car restored in 1997. The body is stellar, as you can see by the pictures. The chrome is complete and shines bright. The interior is immaculate, except for a few tiny tares in the inner side of the rag top. The car previous owner as well as myself have kept the car under a carport or garage, only driven to local fairs and car shows. The hubcaps have been replaced for rims , however I will include them in the price with tires attached. A/C and heater works perfect, cools instantly and warms up just as quickly. This Galaxie post was born a 352 V-8 3 Speed stick and was replaced with a 1966 427 side oiler "Fresh Engine" four speed transmission, 9 inch rear end with 3.91 gear. 1963 Ford Galaxie Project Car. Restoration started by my late father-in-law, he had a collection of vintage cars. This car was not finished and is sold "AS IS' with little history know. The car as not been started or driven for the last two years, and the radiator has been drained. I do not know if it runs, I just know it has run after his engine rebuild about 2 years ago. Please see pictures included. Will be happy to answer any question you may have, but my knowledge is limited. Interior has been redone, but may need headliner re-hung. The engine is a 352 V8 big block which makes it an easy upgrade to 390 or 427. The body is very straight, in great shape. Floorboards and trunk floor are in great shape. This baby was garaged for most of its life. New parts recently installed:-intake manifold to allow for a 4 barrel carb. -edelbrock 4 barrel carb-one wire alternator-electronic ignition distributor-wires-edelbrock valve covers-brake booster with dual reservoir master cylinder-water pump-thermostat-seat covers that match the interior of the car-The headliner has not been replaced, but I have the material for it. The rest of the interior is in good shape; dash, door panels, floor-new battery-ignition switchIt now runs very well. This car is a great candidate for a full resto. A dual exhaust system was installed by the previous owner, it sounds great!
This is an all original 1963 Ford Galaxie Base 4 Door. I bought this car from a friend of mine a year ago, who inherited the car from his grandmother who had passed away. She had bought the car brand new in 1963. He acquired the car in 1997, and at that time he had the car repainted professionally, and redid the interior seats, put new carpet in and a new headliner. However, the headliner was not done correctly and needs to be redone. He left the car sit in a barn from 2000 until 2014, when I bought the car from him. Since then it has been my daily driver and is always parked in the garage. The Galaxie has seen better days body wise but it is still a solid, dependable ride. The body has a couple of dents from hail, and two other dents on the right and left rear quarter panels where someone must have backed into the car before I owned it. There is some rust in the normal places, under both rear quarter panels by the tires, and the rear drivers side floor panel is rusted through. I don't see any other rust that is on the car. The engine and transmission are solid. The 352 V8 starts every time. The only thing that needs fixing on the engine is that the carb needs rebuilt/cleaned up, the engine has some dirt and grime that needs to be cleaned, and it is leaking some oil through the rear main seal. Other than that I don't see much else that needs a whole lot of tuning up for the engine. I have all the trim that goes with the car except the pieces that cover the tail lights. The interior trim is all there, but there are two pieces that were taken off when the headliner was done and they couldn't figure out where they went once they were finished. I do have the windshield top trim, I just haven't put it on yet. The rims on the car are aftermarket, I do have the original rims, except that they were painted with the car, and there are no hubcaps.
