This vehicle was purchased out of a local collection. Fabulous restoration. Recently done. Original motor bored and stroked to 3.860x3.440. Forged pistons. Heads ported and polished. Polished water pump and air cleaner lid. Tri power carb setup. Performance cam. Dyno'd at 267 WHP. Tons of receipts and documentation. Original motor has about 2-3k since rebuild which was done around 2008. Here is a true barn find, last inspection was 1978 here in Pa..The older man hit a tree near his house one winter and then park the car in his garage till I was able to buy it from him. I had plans on doing a big motor swap in the car and just do not have the time. It is hard to see in the pictures, but the car is in good shape. The car needs a fender due to the accident, and will need some rust repairs in both 1/4 panels..Pretty solid car beside that. The car is filled with extra parts that I never even went through, trunk and vehicle have plenty of spare parts. Selling as is of course due to age of the vehicle..

1967 Ford 500 4 door,(in 67 it was only a 500, not a galaxie) Engine; 390 V8, 2V Carb, New water pump, New timing chain and gears. New belts, New hoses Transmission; Automatic trans shifts well Suspension/Brakes; New grommets and bushings, new brake hoses, wheel cylinders, brake lining, Power Steering (see photos of car when up on a lift) Mileage; 41,400 miles documented on the PA title. Please do not bid unless you have the funds in place to purchase the car! I am relisting the car because the previous guy who won the auction could not get a loan for the vehicle. Please read the entire description before bidding! You are bidding on a 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner. My father purchased this car with the intention of recreating the 406 4 speed that he bought new in 1962. . The car is an original 390 automatic. He began collecting parts to convert it to a 406 with Tri-power and the 4 speed manual transmission. Unfortunately he lost his battle to cancer and never got the chance to do so. I do not have enough time myself to finish converting the car so I have decided to sell it. The car was repainted prior to my dad purchasing it. The body is very solid and straight. The odometer reads 12,xxx miles but I would assume it is actually 112,xxx. We had a custom canvas convertible top installed on the car to update the look. A high end upholstery shop made the top and did an amazing job. The top alone cost $1800. As you can see in the pictures, it sits on a set of 17" Shelby style wheels and Nitto performance tires. The tires are practically brand new. The chrome appears to be original and would need to be re-chromed to be show quality. It still presents fairly well but does have some pitting. The car runs and drives good. It might need a neutral safety switch or something because you have to put the car in neutral to start it. It will not start in Park. Everything else appears to work, including the power windows and power top.The auction is for only for the car, with the original 390 and automatic transmission. Note: The engine pictured and additional conversion parts are not included in the auction! I have a fresh 406 motor, tri-power, shorty headers, 4 speed transmission, rear, new performance clutch, manual pedals, and other conversion parts that I will sell separately. I would work out a package deal with the car for the right price. The motor was purchased from Pop's Performance center. It is fresh and includes their "street heat" performance heads. I do not have a lot of details other than what is listed. I will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
