Nice Package Tray,Trunk lid and correct hood installed. Windshield in safe storage. Passenger compartment floors solid and original - have been painted with POR-15 and new padding, carpet installed. Frame is solid - trunk floor needs rust repair, lip where flip lid lays needs to be repaired - patch panels (pictured) from parts car goes with the project car. Nice original door panels. Bumpers, Hood, Flip Lid, Top Frame, Skirts, All Trim, All Convertible internal parts, Two extra solid doors provided with car. This is a complete project car. Fenders, Doors, Trunk lid, flip lid, hood and package tray have been stripped in preparation for body work Car ran and drove when parked before body work started. For sale is a 1955 Ford Thunderbird for restoration. V8, automatic, p/b, p/w, radio. The frame, firewall, and fender wells have already been cleaned and painted. The body, floors, rocker panels, rear wheel wells, truink are in nice condition. The floors have some surface rust, but are solid and no holes. The dashboard is very nice. The dash pad is clean and smooth. The speedometer face and globe are nice, no cracks or fading. The engine was last run about 2 years ago. The left front fender has some bondo in it, but the fender does look straight. The car does need total restoration, paint, new interior, wiring, etc. The bumpers are not chrome, but are painted. The front bumper guards and inserts are made of "cast" and are very heavy. The cast guards are rare and not made by Ford. The car is probably about 90% complete. I have several boxes of parts that were taken off of the car in preperation for a total restoration. Unfortunately the former owner passed away before he could complete his dream. This car is an excellent car for restoration. It does NOT have the usual rust,IE. floors, rocker panels, around the rear wheel wells, etc. It comes with the hard top only. The hard top is in nice condition. The glass and trim is all there. It does need a new headliner. The fender skirts appear to be after market. They have new weather stripping and new staples and are not painted. The car is being sold "AS-IS, no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I welcome and encourage an in person viewing of the car by appointment to any perspective buyer to answer any questons that they may have. Here is a very nice 1965 Thunderbird Landau with only 73,844 original miles. It was purchased from the family of a deceased owner after resting in storage for a few years. It is not a 100 point show car and did not spend its whole life in the Arizona desert. It is priced for what it is, a turn key car with great curb appeal that can be enjoyed the day it is purchased. It was occasionally started while in storage and was treated to many replacement parts to bring it back to being a reliable and road worthy car. Those items are as follows: tires, battery, alternator, regulator, carb rebuild, gas tank cleaning, temperature, oil, fuel senders, hood to cowl seal, trunk weather stripping, trunk mat set, carpeting, plugs, points, condensor, cap, rotor, wires, oil lubrication and fluid check. Data plate reveals that this car was built in Metucilen, NJ on April 5, 1965. It left the factory equipped with a 390 engine (codeZ), a cruise-o-matic transmission (code4) and a 300-1 ratio rear axle (code1). It was painted palomino (code29) and has a navajo beige interior (codeT). It is well equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, factory air conditioning, (complete but not working), AM/FM radio, swing away steering wheel, sequentional turn signals, back up lights, tinted glass and seat belts. This thunderbird was last inspected in Penna in 1989 at which time it was branded as an antique. The 1989 inspection stickers are still intact and reveal the mileage at this time was 72,680, so this car was literally only driven 1,164 in the last 27 years! Driveline: The original engine runs quiet with no smoke, the transmisson shifts fine and there are no exhaust leaks. Interior: The interior is mostly original with the exception of new carpeting and door panel guards on the finger cups. There are no rips or cracks visible. All lights work. Radio, heater blower, wipers, and horn work. All gauges work fine. Air conditioner does not. As you can see in the photos, the interior is very nice. Body: It appears this vehicle received a repaint some time ago. It still looks good, but close inspection reveals a few imperfections due to age, again this is not a show car nor is it priced as such. There are no rust holes visible. Bumpers are original. Tinted glass has no cracks or milking. Vinyl top is original. Underside inspection reveals this vehicle was undercoated from new, providing some protection from the northeast winters. An 11 1/2 x 16 section of the driver's floor was replaced properly with heavy sheet metal and a welder, not license plates and pop rivets. The car rides on 225-75-R15 Cornell all season radials. Original jack is in the proper storage area in the trunk. This is an honest appraisal of this car. I'm offering full disclosure. This is good, solid, beautiful car. Made to look old school, and never, never abused. Always garaged, never in snow or rain. I'd also encourage serious buyers to come and inspect. Interior: The interior chrome is all redone and excellent. Seats and door panels excellent. All the stainless inside and out has been removed and polished. Driver's side: vent window is re-chromed and fitted with NOS locking handle, rear driver's side window re-chromed, all glass and rubber replaced with new, and power window motor and mechanism restored, with NOS locking mechanism and lock. New head liner w/NOS interior light. Noise dampening material plus insulation under headliner and under new rugs. NOS Speedometer and NOS fuel gauge , clock restored and working. Dash pad replaced. Radio replaced with excellent chrome, not powered, modern radio installed under passenger seat. New glove box liner w/ near perfect glove box door, mechanism rebuilt and NOS lock button. Completely restored power seat mechanism on driver's side (tested but not yet permanently connected to power). New rear view mirror, restored steering wheel, New turn signal post and shifter handle. Restored console 'magic air' bezel (see pic). NOS scuff plates both sides. New power window switch bezel. Mechanical: New heavy duty radiator, new water pump, new battery, entire front end rebuilt w/all new rubber, heavy duty sway bar. The engine and tranny are strong and healthy. When I bought it (5k miles ago), engine had just been rebuilt. Transmission is fine, new stainless steel cooling lines. NOS leaf springs w/all new rubber. Front disc brakes. Custom Cragar SS wheels, new tires back, good tires front. Rebuilt power steering pump and piston. New chrome generator and belts. New fuel pump, new Holly carburetor, polished aluminum Edelbrock manifold (Original manifold and carb come with). New Mallory electronic distributer. Exterior: Newly chromed front and rear bumpers with restored bumper bracketing (rear bumper has small scratch on underside). New turn signal lenses. Perfect grill which has been powder coated. All stainless removed and polished. NOS trunk lock and emblem (just try and find one). NOS front hood emblem (again, just try and find one). Very good to excellent side roof emblems. NOS 'thunderbird' script emblems. Very good taillight metal with very minimal superficial pitting (only place on car with any pitting, see pics). New antenna. NOS stainless windshield wipers. Roof repainted, body paint excellent (two chips, see pics). New drivers side door handle, NOS locks. Things it still needs: Power seat needs to be powered. Windshield wipers don't work; has been retrofitted with electric some time ago, I never drive in the rain so I haven't bothered with it. Speedometer intermittently fails, haven't trouble-shot that, but suspect if's a speedo cable issue. There's a small tear in the dash pad at the extreme right hand side down low, which could be repaired by someone who knows what they're doing, but I don't have that skill. There is an extremely small power steering leak but I've not bothered to pinpoint it. The power window switches all work but are not correct in the sense that the upper right switch will power the lower left window. Never bothered me, but to be correct, will need to figure out why, and since the switches are 'handed' may need to be changed out. Payment will be in cash or equivalent. Car has 60,719 miles , a 302ci. engine that runs nice and quiet and is clean and dry (no leaks) . Transmission was rebuilt and I found the reciept for that in the car for almost $1400.00 . brand new battery along with new battery terminals (only two months old) . Car was repainted at one time and im pretty sure the vinyl top was replaced too . Carb was either replaced or rebuilt because it looks nice and clean and works very well . Has air conditioning but belt is off . Furthermore, Buyer acknowledges that Seller will not provide a warranty of any type with regard to the automobile and, therefore, depending on the status of the manufacturers warranty, there may be no warranty of any type covering this automobile. 3. Purchase - Buyer is deemed to have purchased the automobile upon satisfaction of each of the following events: (1) Buyer and Seller have executed this Sales Agreement; (2) Seller has issued the registration (either Pennsylvania or in transit registration); (3) Buyer has executed the "Buyers Guide"; (4) Buyer has paid, in full, for the automobile; and, (5) Buyer has taken possession of the automobile. Buyer shall be deemed to have taken possession of the automobile, and therefore, any and all risks associated with possession, at the time the automobile is removed from Sellers premises, either by Buyer, Buyers agent or shipper (regardless or whether Seller arranged shipping on Buyers behalf). 4. Limited Warranty - THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Choice of Law, Jurisdiction & Venue - The transaction to which this document relates shall be governed by the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In the event of any dispute between the parties arising out of this transaction, the parties agree and consent that the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for the resolution of such dispute shall be Pennsylvanias Court of Common Pleas, Montgomery County, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. 8. Notices - No notice or other communication is sufficient to affect any rights, remedies or obligations of either party unless the notice or communication is in writing and (as elected by the party giving the notice or communication) is (i) personally delivered, (ii) transmitted by facsimile (with a receipt acknowledgment), (iii) transmitted by electronic computer mail, (iv) transmitted by a recognized courier service or (v) mailed in registered or certified form, to the party to which notice or communication is being given.
