This vehicle was purchased out of a local collection. Fabulous restoration. Recently done. Original motor bored and stroked to 3.860x3.440. Forged pistons. Heads ported and polished. Polished water pump and air cleaner lid. Tri power carb setup. Performance cam. Dyno'd at 267 WHP. Tons of receipts and documentation. Original motor has about 2-3k since rebuild which was done around 2008. A VERY nice example of a '66 Galaxie. Originally owned by a gentleman from Kentucky for the first 45 years. He passed away in 2010 and his lifelong friend purchased it from his estate. I purchased the car two years ago and was fortunate enough to get the cars history from him. The car was never driven in inclement weather and the body and undercarriage is in fine condition. The rare Emberglo paint was refinished in a concours quality base/clear by the original owner shortly before his passing. I'm told that the only body damage incurred was a light hit to the rear bumper and trunk lid area. Since I purchased the car two years ago, the only changes I've made was to replace the seat covers with factory correct pattern, new outside door handles, antennae mast, new starter, and upgraded original wheel covers. The tires are like new radials, and other than a few oil drips and a little rich mixture at cold idle, there are no issues to speak of for this 50 year old classic. I am in the process of buying another car and room keeps me from having 3. This is a rare genuine head turner. You won't be disappointed with this one!
