Who knows, it could very well be someone's dream car! This Ferrari was purchased by the current owner in 1988 with only 11k miles on it. This is by far the most well documented 308 you will find within the market place. It has been meticulously maintained by the same professional hands since 1988. The recommended 30k mile service was performed on the Ferrari at 21k miles and then again at 29.5k miles. Over 18k has been spent on the Ferrari just within the last five years. There are two extremely reputable outfits who have maintained this vehicle over the course of his twenty seven year ownership. Autodino & Bob Hindson Racing. The current owner is an avid car guy who is not only thorough but he is someone who has a very deep love and admiration for all collector cars. This Ferrari has been the corner stone of his collection for quite some time and I can tell you that no expense has ever been spared during the course of his ownership. This Ferrari has low miles and is in good overall condition! Car is very nice and a blast to drive! Runs and drives very well. Here are a list of the items we either have completed at our Service Facility. Just completed installation of, remanufactured water pump and gaskets, belts, factory Bosch alternator rebuilt, new battery, and rebuilt rear brake calipers. Currenty, transmission shift seal has a slight leak as does the valve cover gaskets and will need attention at some point, although the leaks are very minimal and it can still easily be driven and enjoyed. It will need new injectors, plugs and extenders ($560 estimate for Bosch injectors and replacement plugs/extenders). Don't let everyone scare you. This is one of the easiest Ferrari't to not only work on but own, and the parts are readily available and not at all outrageously priced. Any honest mechanic will tell you the same thing. Here's a beautiful example of the last of the 308s, with the injected four valve engine. The next year (1986) saw the introduction of the 348, which lacked a lot of the classic style and grace... for example the gorgeous round switches in the console were replaced with boring rockers and the fantastic shrouded inside door latches were also made more modern, and sadly, lost a lot of their charm.
