Hello diesel family and friends, thank you for your faithful following and Happy and blessed new year to everyone from Toms Diesel truck center on ebay,....I sell all my diesels on ebay only I do not have a web site, please stop down if you can or just check on ebay here from time to time I will put one or two new trucks on as I get them ready for sale,,,thanks T I'd like to share a little about my self just to let you all know who you are dealing with before we get together in a business deal, I also have all my policies which have worked for me the past 14 years dealing on ebay and online deals so please read, thanks ... my name is Tom I am a licensed mechanic and PA diesel truck dealer with experience going back to the early 1970's. For those of you who remember when you got your car fueled up the attendant that ran out to fill your car up? That was me.... it is where I started my journey into the car business, at 14 I walked down to my uncles Texaco station in south central PA, after football practice, I'd put on my striped shirt and greeted the customers filled them up, checked the oil, washed the windows and whatever else I could do to get tips;). He let me in the garage when I got to high school and did engine work, brakes, welding and just about everything else but where I really excelled is when he started selling cars, I enjoyed helping customers find the car or truck or there dreams. I started my own lot in 1979 and built it up to the size of any new car dealership with 50 employees, 12 shop bays and well over 100 trucks on the lot, we sold that property and dealership back in 2006 and today nearing 60 years old I am semi retired and opened this small hobby lot located in Carlisle PA. I still have the passion for diesel trucks in which I'm an expert (by the way anyone who does anything successful for 35 years is an expert in my opinion), and I also have the passion just as I did at 18 to help people find the truck of there dreams. If you give me the opportunity I promise I will do everything in my power not to let you down... I know these old cummins diesel/and 7.3's trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast. A few things to know before bidding or becoming interested in one of my trucks, I do not play games with the price, I do my homework price low for fast cash sales on the buy it now that is what I need if you do the research you will see, however serious cash buyers are encouraged to bring cash offers close to buy it now we might deal to the right buyer, the right buyer to me does his or her homework and knows the market price on these old diesels, is easy to deal with and has there expectations in line, what I'm not looking for is people shooting lowball prices, bringing a magnifying glass to scrutinize a 15-20 year old work truck, if you need new I do not sell that they are tens of thousands of dollars more money and don't last long at all go to the new dealer if that is the case. But if your serious about buying a nice older diesel and are good to get along with that is me as well I will make you a sweet deal, stop down if you can.. Well lets see......how about this mint condition last of the 2nd generation 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Plus Sport 4WD Quad shortbox with the HO cummins turbo diesel engine 6 speed mv5600 tranny 56 block and 355 rears and 153K certified miles?. How about all origional condition Texas truck I drove it up 2 months ago never seen sale or snow. She is pure stock with heated leather, origional black body, I put the edge chip in for fuel miles, has new rubber, new lift pump, and ball joints,brakes, exhaust, stering box all in mint condititon truck was servaced every 5000 miles, drives true and straight, great power no leaks or blow by, everything works good ice cold air, real clean truck with only minor but typical wear and tear. only 153K origional car fax certified miles... I bought this when I was in Las Vegas a few months ago, it lived its life in Nevada/southern Utah so she is 100% gaurenteed rustfree with 90% origional paint, I had some stone chips touched up behind the wheels otherwise all origional. Frame, doors all perfect, real sharp color deep purple factory color looks black in the shade but georgous in the sun. Truck is all stock owned by an adult buisness owner who was the second owner. Great servace history, the 12 valve fires right up, no smoke blow by or excessive leaking. Good clutch, tight front end, I spent 1500 bringing the front end up to snuff, brand new steering box, track bar, outer ty rod, hub berings and alignment she is now super tight and ready for another 200K. Fresh filters and fluids, ice cold air, rubber fair, brakes good, real nice interior everything working in there and clean no dash cracks headliner like new too. I have not seen one of these 12 valve qquads in 2 years dont delay she is running great remember good bodys are just not out there... first come basis, the bottom line is the buy it now.... offers close might conider...... lowballers I dont have time to waste please pass, thanks guys looking forward to all serious cash buyers!! 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie with 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel. I am the original owner I purchased new in late 2006 (This vehicle is pre-emissions and does not have the particulate filter). I still have the original window sticker which was just over $47K used this truck for a small business during the summer months until 2012 and it has been my Personal vehicle since. I towed a 1900 lb trailer a dozen or so times a year but 99% of it’s life it was empty. It was parked during the winter months and was not subjected to the harsh Pennsylvania conditions which explains why the body is in such great shape. It was always plugged in so it was never Cold started during the cold months.I rebuilt the entire front end in Spring of 2014 which include the suspension and steering components as well as Timken wheel Bearing hubs. The Ball joints were starting to show a little play so I did everything while it was apart. All parts used were Moog and I got Zerk fittings where applicable. Cost of the rebuild was $2100. I put a complete stainless exhaust with MagnaFlow muffler a few years back. There are no known mechanical issues that I am aware of and this vehicle has never broken down. In 2013 the transmission started to slip in 2nd gear so I purchased a new transmission that had upgraded Billet parts and had it installed professionally. The U joints were replaced at that time for precautionary measures. The cost of the new Transmission was $2800. The only issue I am aware of at this time is the Airbag light comes on at times and then goes out.I did the maintenance on this vehicle over the years and have always used Rotella T Oil. I switched to Full Synthetic after the first oil change and have been on it since. The air Filter is a Wix and the Batteries were both replaced a few years ago with Diehards.The Fuel Economy keeps getting better and better with age. Highway driving (72MPH for me) was around 20 MPG for the first 80,000 then it really started to come into it’s own and now it gets up to 22 in certain conditions like driving across Ohio which is pretty Flat. City mileage you can expect 18 most of the time depending on how you drive.The overall condition is very nice as shown in the photos but there are a few battle scars here and there. The worst of which is a Blemish in the tailgate that is actually protruding OUT??? I swore that was a defect from new but I never addressed it. The paint broke off awhile ago and it’s the ugliest spot on the truck. There is one bubble in the paint on the lip of the wheel opening on the Drivers rear that is smaller than a Penny at this time. I was going to have the issues resolved and maybe put fender flares on but I ordered a new truck instead. There are a few small dings in the paint and some stone chips to be expected from a vehicle this age and mileage but nothing excessive. The interior is very nice and held up Exceptionally well. The drivers seat is starting to show signs of wear but otherwise it cleans up pretty close to new. We are Non smokers and this vehicle has never been smoked in. The original floormats I removed when new in favor of the Catch-Alls to protect the carpet. The tires are probably in the 5/32-6/32 range. The Rims are the polished Aluminum and not the steel covered wheels which I always thought was a nice upgrade.
