1996 Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck 4x4 (4wd) SLT Club Cab 5.2 liter V8 Automatic with 227,000 miles on it. The body and frame are in good shape, and it hasn't needed anything for inspection the past few years. The 4-wheel drive works, as do the power windows, door locks, etc. HOWEVER, it isn't currently inspected. The reason is that I lost oil pressure and was compelled to continue driving anyway, so it's got some engine issues, will either need a new/used engine replacement or repair of the current engine. It starts and runs and sounds ok, but I'm pretty sure a bearing is gone. I was looking to get a new motor for it, but I had an opportunity on an other vehicle so I didn't. I looked it up on KBB, and for private party in fair condition the price was $2,858. Naturally due to the fact that the engine will need to be replaced or repaired at some point I'm not looking to get that much for it. Asking $2,000 or best offer. Thanks for looking.

The truck is showing close to 270k miles on the odometer but I don't think it's the true mileage since the report I have shows there was over a 70k jump in miles reported from 2010-2011 (highly doubt someone drove this truck over 70k miles in one year). I have A copy of the vehicle history report proving the vehicle is clear of any questionable history.
