He let me in the garage when I got to high school and did engine work, brakes, welding and just about everything else but where I really excelled is when he started selling cars, I enjoyed helping customers find the car or truck or there dreams. I started my own lot in 1979 and built it up to the size of any new car dealership with 50 employees, 12 shop bays and well over 100 trucks on the lot, we sold that property and dealership back in 2006 and today nearing 60 years old I am semi retired and opened a small hobby lot located in Carlisle PA. I still have the passion for diesel trucks in which I'm an expert (by the way anyone who does anything successful for 35 years is an expert in my opinion), and I also have the passion just as I did at 18 to help people find the truck of there dreams. If you give me the opportunity I promise I will do everything in my power not to let you down... I know these old cummins diesel/and 7.3's trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast. Cosmetically the cab and frame is in good shape very solid, the bed is junk has rust on the sides and pleany of dents, but it is usable tailgate works hauls cargo and tows fine. I have used beds available for $600-1500 extra cost, would make a good candidate for a steel flatbed or utility truck... Mecahnically pretty good. Engine fires up good, no check lights, or misfire. Good batteries, good brakes and exhaust. Trans shifts great good solid clutch and 4x4 does work good. Front end it tight, good track bar and ball joints, rubber not too bad either, I ersonally drove this truck 300 miles in from trade in, I don't think you will have any problem driving it home, really hits the road good. Cosmetically the exterior is 100% rutfree with nice clean original looking paint in glossey shape, no major dents, scrapes or issues, frame is spotless, so is the brake lines and oil pan. Truck is super sharp looking, interior is just as nice, no rips or tears, non smoker with no stains or smells. All power toys working with cold air and hot heat. Mechanically she is a dream. The 5.9 fires right up no problems, new bosche injectors a few months ago, good hot batteries, no blow by no drips, fresh filters and fluids.
