For those of you who remember when you got your car fueled up the attendant that ran out to fill your car up? He let me in the garage when I got to high school and did engine work, brakes, welding and just about everything else but where I really excelled is when he started selling cars, I enjoyed helping customers find the car or truck or there dreams. I started my own lot in 1979 and built it up to the size of any new car dealership with 50 employees, 12 shop bays and well over 100 trucks on the lot, we sold that property and dealership back in 2006 and today nearing 60 years old I am semi retired and opened a small hobby lot located in Carlisle PA. I still have the passion for diesel trucks in which I'm an expert (by the way anyone who does anything successful for 35 years is an expert in my opinion), and I also have the passion just as I did at 18 to help people find the truck of there dreams. I know these old cummins diesel/and 7.3's trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast. Western Truck no rust mint frame, oil pan, brake lines, and body. Matter of fact its all original paint at least what is left, the hot Texas sun faded it out pretty good but its really straight, throw a coat of paint you got yourself a 15 grand show truck. Mechanically the owner was a cummins mechanic fully rebuilt engine, pump done over and turned up a little hit the throttle and rip, black smoke ect!!! Has a built automatic with billet triple disc converter. Has a 4 inch suspention lift, 35's col wheels shocks and more. I just rebuilt the front end, steering box track bar ect, she runs like a bear, real tight driving. Interior is nice most everything working in there, I got it priced to sell. i am selling my 00 dodge ram 2500 diesel. I bought the truck from an older gentleman that bought a new ford f150. i bought it with a bad trans. I put a new trans in and that has a 3 year warranty that comes with it and whoever buys it will have piece of mind also. I am selling it because I no longer need the truck. The truck runs and drives excellent. I put a cold air intake on it and 4" exhaust. The truck is very clean inside and out. The underneath is in excellent shape and not rusted. i just had new front brakes and rotors put on it. There are 2 minor spots of rust on the truck, not bigger then a half dollar coin. The passenger side rear wheel well, and 2 small spots on the back bumper. I was told by my mechanic it needs a tie rod in the front as the steering is a little loose. Also it does drip a little bit of oil now and then and not sure what is leaking, im sure its something minor. I dont have the time to mess with it and need to sell it. The inside is in excellent shape no rips tears or stains. I have described it to the best of my abilities and any questions please ask before bidding. Title in hand second owner. I bought this out in Denver Colorado guys no rust all factory looking paint flame red!! Body and frame is mint near flawless for a surviovor in not restored condition 97 pickup truck. Beautiful gloss paint, real straight truck no accidents or damage. Frame is cherry nice, no scale never in salt. Mechanically none better its all stock including pump, exhaust, intake ect. Excellent rubber, brakes, ball joints, track bar, she will go straight down the interstate at 75 real tight, rebuilt tranny, dow pin taken care of, interior is flawless no cracks, rips,tears, has all goodies working and ice cold air too. I completely serviced this rig guys, I tuned and timed the pump so it will get just enough umph and just a touch of black smoke, aligned and ready to make the trip home with 1000% confidence. Here is the deal... Mechaincally truck is solid the 12 valve fires right up, strong tranny turbo has a bad seal and leaks oil otherwise can be fired up but will need trailered to be safe. The frame and structure is perfect, body is rough dents, minor rust, inside not too bad...As I said I have a standing offer of 3 grand on motor/pump and harness the dealer installes these solid 12v engines in blown up 6.0 Fords, need offers over 3 g's for me to take serious. Owner was a cummins diesel mechanic and rebuilt both the engine and tranny at 200K with most all stock prts but some upgrade stuff like head bolts ect. Truck is better than it was off the assembly line. She fires right up, no smoke, blow by or leaks. Good tight front end and rubber, shifts perfect, inside it is also very clean non smoker truck, no cracks rips or stains, all toys working, good cold air condition. Exterior body mint and super straight, no body work or accidents all orig paint, frame and underbody all like perfect shape no rust, lived its entire life in Washington state. Has a few add ons like a leval kit, aftermarket wheels and 33's, tow package and pilar gauge set. Has some of the factory clear coat flaking off on sides but overall real nice,,,On the price I paid up to pry it from the owners garage, my price is pretty firm so don't waste time lowballing but here is your other option.. I have another 97 Ram 2500 SLT ext 4x4 with a 5 speed with around 200 some miles I serviced this one last few years, runs perfect needs paint/detailing for show condition or perfect work truck as it is, I wont waste time with picts if your serious and have a small budget for a 12v stick just stop up bring cash we'll deal in person. thanks Tom
