1996 Corvette Convertible LT4 Six Speed Red/Red. I just purchased this fresh trade inat the local Ford dealer. This car was owned since 1998 by a local businessman whohas kept it garaged the entire time. I have known this car since he purchased it in 1998.I am a long time Corvette enthusiast/owner and former President of the Texas Chapterof the National Corvette Restorers Society, NCRS. Excellent Condition inside and out with low 42k miles. White Convertible top (original).Rear tires will need to be replaced within next few thousand miles. LTPWS (Low TireWarning) system light comes on when car warms ups, although the system doesfunction and will tell you of a low tire. I have not taken to the Chevy dealer for anevaluation. Please note small blemish in drivers seat bottom that is easily repairable. Surface tear, very small, no missing leather. I have done nothing to the car since I purchased it just a few weeks ago. Engine runsstrong, transmissions shift perfectly. I don't know of any problems with this car otherthan the LTPWS. I just spoke with the 17 year owner who confirmed this was the onlyknown problem. Owner reports minor paint work to the driver's side front quarter paneland door that did not require any panel or door replacement. Total repair bill wasaround $1000 as he recalls. This is a beautiful example of this last year model in the best possible colors. A noexcuses car that will be hard to duplicate. Very low miles, unmolested, garaged, witha long term mature owner.
