To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’73 Challenger 340 for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. Let me also say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am not a dealer, just a (66) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback as I have only one negative feedback which I believe I should not have received but you be the judge. Many of those transactions have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Just a little history on the Dodge Challenger: The Challenger project was first started in about 1965 as Dodge's answer to the pony car. Stylist Carl Cameron refined the car for some time, and, by 1968, they were building 1970 Challenger prototypes. Dodge was the last one to the pony car party, but it spent its time wisely, perfecting its entry, the Challenger. The Challenger debuted with an engine lineup that ranged from a docile slant six to the powerful 440 Six Barrel and the awesome 426 Hemi. Other pony cars could only dream of a line up like that. The Dodge Challenger was based on the Plymouth Barracuda platform, but its wheelbase was stretched by two inches to provide more interior room. The Challenger was offered in both hardtop and convertible versions. Performance versions wore the R/T (Road/Track) badge and either the base or R/T model could be ordered with the SE luxury package. But Dodge had one more trick up its sleeve. In order to race in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans American Sedan Championship, it built a street version of its race car which it called the Dodge Challenger T/A (Trans Am). By 1972, the convertible version and all the big-block engine options were gone. Maximum power was also downgraded to 240 horsepower to reflect the more accurate Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) net hp calculations. The 1972 models also received a new grille that extended beneath the front bumper. The 1973 models were no longer available with a six-cylinder engine. For 1974, the 340 cu in engine was replaced by a 360 cu in version, but the pony car market had deteriorated and production of Challengers ceased in mid 1974. Enough for the history lesson. Now on to this rare and beautiful 1973 (TX9) black Challenger 340ci 4-speed. Picture yourself behind the wheel of this 1973 Dodge Challenger Rally, restored from the ground up. This Mopar E-body has been with the same owner for the past 26 years. Factory color scheme TX-9 black with white strobe stripe and brilliant bright white interior. Powered by a numbers matching 340ci 4BBL, pistol grip, 4-speed and 8¾ rear with 3:55 sure grip. This cars exterior body and paint are in fantastic condition. Not to mention, once you’re behind the wheel you'll feel like you have been transported back to 1973 and your youth again. Definitely looks and performs like you want it to. Comes with owner history, original fender tag and original broadcast sheet. If you've been searching for a beautiful E-body Challenger, you'll want to take a closer at this very attractive eye catching car. Truly, it stops people in their tracks, everywhere you go! Two thumbs up on this investment quality E-body Mopar! What does all of this all add up to? I say Mopar Heaven for the new owner. To start with, let me first say that I am listing this modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. If you want an honest and complete description via telephone, please feel free to call Roland at 603-361-3693. As an FYI, the modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, just 15 miles from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Who was Bill Frick? Bill Frick was a gifted early model mechanic and fabricator many years before the term "Hot Rodders" was used. Well known in the late 40s by his custom engine conversion packages out of a little shop in Long Island NY. In 1950, when the new 331 V8 OHV overhead valve Cadillac engine was introduced, he offered a conversion package to swap with the 1950 Ford flat head engine which would increase the horsepower tremendously. It earned the name Fordillac, which became famous among the early gear head "hot rodders". In 1953, the same 331-V8 Cadillac engine was offered for the engine consumption in the Studebaker for $1,500, also known as the Studellac. The Studellac was capable of speeds of 125mph and accelerated form 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. Bill Frick Motors Inc. was an exclusive distributor of Kieft Sport Cars, exclusive Long Island dealer for Allard Motor cars, an MG and Morris Minor dealer. He was involved in building race cars and partnered with Ted Tappett, who then became a well-known racer in the Lemans 24 hour race circuit. Also, Bill Frick Motors was heavily involved in Nascar. The Frick-Tappett conversion Cadillac engine in a Ford made them famous among the performance gear heads, claiming up to 25mpg at cruising speed and 0-80mph in 15 seconds. Very sophisticated for their time, Bill Frick built a tubular air craft design chassis in the 1949 using a Cadillac 331-V8 which they called the "Le Monstre". It ran in Lemans and was driven by Phil Walters, known as Ted Tappett and placed in 7th, according to our research. Well known Briggs Cunningham was involved on the financial side of Bill Frick Motors Inc. and also drove the "Le Monstre". Interestingly enough, the car is still shown today. A private collector owns the car and shows it at car shows such as Lime Rock CT. Here is the information on this wicked, super rare modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird: This unique single family owned thunderbird is straight from an estate, stored since 1999 in dry storage. According to our research, this is a very unique and rare example of one of Bill Frick's conversions. There were only three (3) Thunderbirds built by Bill Frick Motors, however, only one which had the Pontiac 389ci engine. When the car was purchased new in Lowell MA, the owner of the car was a big time drag racer. He wanted to build a car that would blow the doors off anyone who would come against him. He sent the car to Bill Frick, in Rockville Centre NY, for a performance upgrade and engine swap. Originally, a special dual McCulloch blower set up was installed with a special panel for the blower solenoids. However, the Paxton McCulloch system was aborted and sent back to Paxton and the car ended up with an Offenhauser aluminum dual quad intake topped off with two Carter 4-barrel carburetors. Bill Frick Motors gave a $500 credit to the 312 V8. Also, some modifications had to be done to the hood of the car to make provisions for the dual supercharger system. Three bulge style tear drops were dollied by hand and refinished in black lacquer. In the final version, Bill Frick Motors used a modified 1959 Pontiac engine. When owned by Al Ornella of Jack and Al’s Esso in Lowell Massachusetts, Al would gladly race any takers but not before the challenger put down $500. This was Al’s minimum bet before he would even start up his T-Bird. For the record, it was said that Al was never beaten in any of these races. It is our understanding that only three of these conversions were completed by Bill Frick and this particular 1957 T-Bird is the only one left of the original three. We clay barred the exterior and it came back beautifully but we think it's best to preserve the originality of this car as a true time capsule without changing too much. Super clean exterior body and paint. Looking over this rare example, the car has a solid original body with no signs of any rust or repair what so ever. The exterior body of this car is perfectly straight with no ripples, dings or dents. There is a light patina in the lacquer in some areas of the car. In the front header area, near the driver's side light, you will notice the paint has flaked off in that area. Also, some lacquer cracking appears around that area as well. Other exterior notes of interest are: · The chrome bumpers are original and are considered excellent condition; · The glass is also original to the car and is excellent throughout; · Bright work, emblems, front grille, headlamps, tail light bezels are all excellent; · The original paint in areas of the trunk, hood and door jambs have a nice clean appearance; · The weather strip is original with no signs of being dried, cracked or weathered; · The doors, hood and rear deck lid open and close perfectly with proper alignment to all of those areas as well; · The windows roll up and down effortlessly; · The factory continental kit and trunk area is solid and original with the spare tire, jack assembly and trunk mat considered to be in fair condition; · White Side Wall tires with factory hub caps; · Hard top with port-hole windows that has excellent glass and a nice original white headliner. This is a very nice Turbo Grand Prix. It has low milage for its age. It has almost new tires with at least 90-95% tread left. Tire are not Gator backs. They are Yokohama YK520 tire size P245/50R-16 the correct size. All electronics seem to work from seats, windows, radio and steering wheel controls, A/C, mirrors, heads up display, floor console, all lights in and out. If you know this car the ABS brake system always has problems and you get multiple ABS brake light plus Brake light Check engine light all at the same time, no light at all. The brake system works as it should. Change the ABS Accumulator last year. This part is impossible to find. If you need it for your car let me know. This is not a Maine car i have had it for a short time and is garaged kept. There seems to be no rust on the car and is solid. The only rust is on the exhaust system and is only surface rust, and is common even in dry states, this is due to metal not being treated. The interior is almost like new, with very little wear and tear, the driver seat has the most and is still very little, no cracks on dash. Carpet has some stains never real tried to clean but probably can be clean. original mats worn but have after market set in good shape. When you check on Carfax it shows that it was in a fire. I was told by previous owner that it was not. The storage facility burned down where the car was stored and they kept vin numbers on file and was reported to police that the car was there and burned up. It was not and was at owners home at the time of the fire. This car has tons of plastic moldings on it and they are all it great shape and not melted. Plus the car looks like it has original paint, and all rubber seems original too. If it was the car would have been totaled and not fixed due to parts you cant even find and age of car. You will not be disappointed with this car it really is nice. Just trying to disclose all. I also never drove this car in the snow. If you have any questions please ask or want to see. Thanks Zach.

To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’68 Corvette L88 re-creation for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his ’68 Corvette L88 re-creation dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. If you want an honest and complete description via telephone, please feel free to call Roland at 603-361-3693. As an FYI, the ’68 Corvette L88 re-creation is located in Manchester, New Hampshire just 15 miles from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% with (1,139) transactions. Many of those have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. MAY CONSIDER TRADES. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Just a little history on the L88 Corvette: Beginning in 1966, General Motors’ Regular Production Option codes became the mantra for performance junkies, and perhaps even more so for Corvette aficionados. Ask any muscle car-aholic for proof—Z28, LS6, ZR1, ZL1, and of course, the legendary L88, to name but a few. The new 427-cubic inch L88 V-8 was an outgrowth of the “big block” Mark IV engine program first introduced in the form of a 396-cubic inch V-8 in 1965. GM management had initially decreed that no car line smaller than its full-size lineup should carry an engine larger than 400 cubic inches, including the Corvette. Since the 396 V-8 squeezed in just under the limit, it replaced the fuel-injected 327 in the Corvette as the top offering. Dubbed the L78, with 425 advertised horsepower, some 2,157 buyers checked the option block and paid $292.70 for the privilege, but Chevrolet was about to be upstaged. Carroll Shelby began installing Ford’s 427-cubic inch V-8 in his two-seat Cobra, and Chevrolet engineers were compelled to respond. It materialized for 1966 in the form of Chevrolet’s own 427 V-8, basically a 396 with a larger 4.25 bore, an 11:1 compression ratio, and an advertised 425 horsepower. The engineers went for broke one more time, which resulted in what is known as RPO L88. Once more, it was based on the 427, but it had 12.5:1 compression and was topped by a single Holley four-barrel carburetor sucking 850 cubic feet per minute while being capable of running on 103 high-octane fuel. Sources quoted the true output to be closer to 560 horsepower. Chevrolet upped the price of admission, too—this time with a $947.94 price tag! Ordering the engine required certain mandatory options, and the radio and heater were deleted in order “to cut down on weight and discourage the car’s use on the street,” according to a press release at the time. Just 20 buyers said “yes” and bought what was essentially a racing engine for the street that was given an RPO code. The L88 was back for 1968, this time enveloped by an all-new Corvette. Despite the hefty price tag for the optional engine, 80 buyers signed up for the blistering performance. Contemporary road tests quoted 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds and barely 8.0 seconds to 100 mph! The L88 came back one final time in 1969, when 116 buyers said yes before the history books closed the chapter on one of the Corvette’s most powerful engines of all-time. In all of Corvette’s glorious history, there was never anything like the L88. It was solely intended for racing, and was so potent that Chevrolet actually actively discouraged its sale to the general public, even to the extent of understating its actual horsepower rating at 430 HP, less than the incredibly powerful L71 427/435 HP Tri-Power option; in reality, the L88’s figure approached 560 horses. The formula for the L88 engine was both simple and devastating: 4-bolt mains, forged crank, rods and pistons, 12.5:1 compression, aluminum heads with huge valves, a wild solid lifter cam and a gulping Holley 850 CFM 4-barrel double pumper on an aluminum intake. There were no creature comforts, and it had to be ordered with transistor ignition, vacuum power brakes, a special master cylinder and dual pin brake calipers, heavy duty suspension, a Muncie M22 ”Rock Crusher” 4-speed and Positraction. Enough for the history lesson. Now on to this rare and beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster L88 re-creation: This pure performance muscle machine has all the looks under the hood of a real L88. Pure performance is an understatement when you fire up this L88. The rumbling sound and less than 50 miles driven since the rebuild. This Corvette is recommended for race fuel only. (100 octane or above). This extreme performance Blue Chip replica is considered an excellent driver quality machine and priced well below market value and comes with all receipts of service work completed. Exterior: The Corvette presents that brilliant high gloss luster. Straight body with no waves, proper alignment to hood, headlight buckets and doors that close with the touch of your finger. Super clean exterior body and paint. Other exterior notes of interest are: · Refinished in 2-stage base coat clear coat paint (1966 GM Trophy Blue metallic), · Matching paint on the hard top; · White soft top; · New windshield; · Original door glass; · Very straight body panels; · Show quality re-chromed front and rear bumpers; · 15" Corvette Rally wheels with raised white letter radials. Interior: · Roll bar (added in the early 70s giving the car that period look); · New seat covers; · New carpet set front and rear; · Walnut steering wheel (excellent condition); · Functional speedometer; · Functional tachometer; · Functional gauges (clock not working). Engine: This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette L88 roadster re-creation has an L88 motor built to factory specifications. For the L88 build, the motor and Corvette were built with the following: · 12.5:1 compression; · Winters GM aluminum heads (Heads are dated 1969); · Aluminum intake; · Correct Holley carburetor dated 1967; · Correct transistorized ignition; · Factory style exhaust manifolds; · Rebuilt 4-speed M-22 transmission; · L88 hood; · L88 air cleaner element; · Aluminum radiator with no shroud; · Radio delete; · New side exhaust system (Factory option in 1969 only on the C3 models); · What appears to be an original L88 hood; · 3935439 427 ci block casting number dated 3/7/69 (.030 thousands over}; · 3933163 Intake manifold casting number dated 11/20/68; · 3919842 Winters aluminum rectangular port heads dated 11/12/67. Mechanical: Mechanically very sound with no notable issues. Undercarriage: · Very clean and solid frame; · New suspension and front end parts. Beautiful 2000 Vette Targa removable top. Adult female owned and driven so it has never been abused. Corsa extreme exhaust system, sounds great. Overall condition is very good to excellent. Interior is very nice, no tears or damage leather is still soft with no signs of wear. There are a couple of brown spots in the trunk area as seen in pictures. Mechanically a very sound car. Very nice color, gets compliments wherever it goes. Always well maintained and garaged. There are a couple of small issues that's why the price is set low, this is easily a $17K-$18K car: Could use new front tires, also needs a resistor that controls the heating/cooling fan, right now it's either off or full on, once in a while the security warning comes on when you first start it. I believe this is a recall item. We never had it done because it really isn't a big deal. Please contact me with any questions or additional information We will assist with shipping but the cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. This is re-listed due to non-payment. Please do not make an offer or buy it now if you do not intend to follow through with the purchase.
