I got plenty of "alone time" with the vehicle without anyone breathing down my neck. It took three visits for me to finalize my choice and they didn't make me feel like a burden. Their mechanics do comprehensive check ups and they'll give you a copy to see the notes etc. Even though their reviews were already so glowing, and their reputation of integrity was so loud, I needed to have an outside mechanic check the van before dropping $15,000. They had no problem with that, as long as you bring the van back the same day. The mechanic I found, also in Palo Alto, gave the car a totally clean bill of health. He pointed out one small cosmetic detail that did not affect the vehicle's performance at all, almost as if he wanted me to feel I was getting my money's worth. 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Work Truck. Excellent running condition. The truck body is uniquely customized and is ready for the field. Comes with a 9' long by 8' Full Height Royal Service Truck Body. The inside width of the bed at 49" is perfect for loading pallets, plywood or drywall. The 3 piece roll top and wide rear barn doors makes it easy for access while also providing security. The high profile compartments with adjustable shelves is very useful for a wide variety of storage options. The ladder/lumber rack is factory cut out on both sides for easy forklift loading and unloading of material. I also installed two 8" X 10' ABS pipes with removable caps on each end for storing conduit and pipe. Maintenance and repairs I had done since 1/2015 are as follows; new front and rear rotors, new front and rear brake pads, new rear calipers, replaced u-joints, replaced transmission filter and filled with synthetic transmission fluid, flushed brake system and filled with synthetic fluid, drained power steering fluid and filled with synthetic fluid, drained rear differential oil and filled with synthetic oil, installed a K&N air filter, replaced spark plugs and cables. Replaced front tires and battery in 10/2014. Interior is black and is in good condition. Exterior body has some small dents and scratches.

It does overheat when driven 25+ miles, and bubbles outta the over-flo tank. But I don't see any oil in the water, don't smoke or water in the oil. The upper radiator hose is rock hard, so maybe it might be a stuck thermostat or clogged radiator? - But worse case, it's a blown head gasket which is around $1,500.00 to have someone do it with the newer design head gasket set. I'd have it towed to get it fixed if I was you. INTERIOR: Interior needs help, the head liner is pretty much falling down & dirty, the drivers seat is totally shot with a huge piece missing out of it, the rear seat has some paint spilled on it, and the front passengers seat has a minor hole where you get in and out. There is also some much needed cleaning to be done in the inside, but other-wise it's a good work truck. No Carpet, but has the vinyl flooring.BODY: Body does have some minor bumps, bruises, scuffs, paint chips, etc. Right front fender has a 4-6" small scrape on it, can't hardly notice. Right rear door of service body is damaged on the bottom right corner (see pic), other-wise not to bad of a body on this work truck. Get it detailed and I bet most of the minor scratches will come out. KBB is around $13,659.00 for this truck with the mileage, so I figured with the head gasket & interior stuff needed to be done, it'll cost around $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 to fix everything (I'd use junk/salvage yard interior parts, you'll save some cash). OR If you just fix the head gasket only, it'll cost you $1,500.00 or so, then you'll be in it for a GREAT deal and have a great work truck - These trucks run forever and ever, and hold their values. This is fairly hard to find to being 4-door, 4x4, Diesel. LOOKING for DECENT offers on this truck, NOT looking for tire kickers or someone that wants a new truck for next to nothing.
