Very reliable vehicle. It has always gotten me places I needed to go. It has practically brand new tires that come with a lifetime warranty from the company I bought them from (Cooper Tires, Lakeport, CA) -- roughly has almost 10,000 miles driven on them. The shocks, brakes, alternator, belt, and battery were all replaced within about 6 months (earlier for the alternator and belt). I've had this truck for 10 years and am selling it to try to purchase something more economical and smaller. The previous owners were first my grandfather and then my mother before me. It has only had three owners since purchasing from Kathy Fowler in Lakeport, CA, bought in 1999. It will need to be smogged upon purchase and switching title; it has never been smogged. There is slight body damage. It'd been in 3 fender benders (only one from myself). The front bumper is a little pushed inward, but it's hardly noticeable. The front plastic bumper guard needs to be replaced; it's being held by ties on one side as the small rubber push screws got popped out a long time ago and stretched the holes on the guard. The passenger side door has some dents in it and the passenger side rear view mirror is missing it's case, and has a few cracks on the front chrome plating, from being backed into. The other fender bender did not do any damage to the truck that's apparent. The grounding wire from the driver's side needs to be replaced or checked. Possible starter issue; occasionally it won't start right away but trying again, it always starts right up. This truck has never not started for me. Heater is not the best and that might be due to either a thermostat, clogged hose, or (the worse case scenario) the heater core going out. AC works perfectly fine, almost too good. Inside, there's some wear and tear on the interior. Someone put a bottle of bleach in my truck years ago and didn't tell me so underneath the driver's side back seat there's carpet damage due to the bleach spilling. Having the truck myself for 8 years (driving for 10 years), there's normal wear and tear to the vehicle. The driver's side power door lock actuator was replaced but cannot find a brand new one that has the features this truck has, so in order to replace, have to find one from a salvage yard in order, but it still locks; it just makes a loud noise when you lock it. Power windows still works; passenger side battery for the power window needs to be replaced (it goes up very slowly at times but still goes up). The rear passenger window latch broke (I'm not sure how or who did it, or when) but it will still lock to hold in place but will not prop itself open. The bed of the truck is scratched from hauling loads and it used to have haul racks on them, but I removed them and will include them with purchase (they are black and fit on the sides of the bed of the truck) if I can find them in storage. Nothing else is wrong with the truck. It gets you to point A to point B. Gets about 18mpg city and 22mpg highway. Roughly about a 25 gallon tank of gas; can drive about 400-415 miles per full tank, depending on what the drive is. Speakers in rear and front were replaced either earlier 2015 or late 2014. Upon purchase, can have truck detailed so the truck looks nice for its new owner!

For sale is a "Great Looking, Well Running - 1997 Chevrolet/Chevy Silverado C1500 Pick-Up Truck" The truck runs great. Starts right up. I had a diagnostic done on it at the time of purchase and was told overall the truck is in great condition. Air conditioning/heater works. There are some scratches on the passenger side of the vehicle (they are white) I will try to get pics of this. It does need to have the brake booster replaced and at some time in the future the window mechanisms replaced (the windows go up and down, but can be slow and need assistance with your hands). There is a small crack in the lower left (driver side) corner of the front window. The truck was bought for my daughter, who was going to learn to use a manual, but has changed her mind and decided to go with an automatic. It's a wonderful vehicle, great to drive. Boy does it get the looks. The oil has been well-maintained. I do not see any leaks. The tires look and are new, I think they might have been replaced last year. We do not smoke. As for previous owners I have no idea. It does not smell like there have been smokers in it. Overall, the upholestry is in pretty good condition, with no rips or tears. The parking brake cable is a little loose, but it works fine, both in putting it on and taking it off. The truck has air conditioning that works great. There is a stereo that works great. It has power windows, power seats, and power locks. The back window is tinted, as are the side windows, too. The truck has a lift kit, which I would say is probably between 3 - 5" in height and shocks. The tires are ...... and look like they are brand new. We purchase the vehicle from a family friend, who only owned it for about a month. She flips vehicles and did my daughter a favor and sold it to her. I believe before the family friend it was owned by another lady. Before that I do not know any further history. I will try to mention as much as I can about what I know about the vehicle, but since I don't know it's history, that information I can't provide. Overall, looking at it and driving it, it seems to be a great vehicle that drives and runs well. Please if you have any further questions about the truck, it's condition, what it has, etc., please email me before buying or making an offer. It will be your responsibility to come and get the truck.
