The vehicle being offered for sale is a 1954 Chevrolet 3100 short bed 3-window pickup. The truck has been recently refinished from top to bottom. This is not a frame-off restoration, but is a frame-up restoration. The frame was cleaned and painted a semi-gloss black, similar to what would have been seen in 1954. The exterior of the truck has had some minor body work and has been repainted in red. a professional wet-sand, cut, and polish rounds out the quality paint. The interior has been redone, and the stock cardboard headliner and door inserts have been replaced with padded vinyl parts. The seat was rebuilt and skinned in the same black vinyl. A black carpet gives the final touches to the custom, yet classy, red and black interior. The gauges are original, refaced, and all work with the exception of the oil pressure gauge, which only needs the capillary tube. Speedometer, Amps, Fuel Level, and water temp work and are accurate. The bed has been sanded, stained, and clear coated for durability. The dark stain and high-gloss clear coat makes the bed another conversation piece of the truck with the stainless steel trim. New trim and weather stripping throughout round out the high level of detail found in this build. The engine has also been refreshed and topped off with a matching coat of red paint. The motor starts right up without issues, unless its under about 50 degrees, then a little choke is necessary. Still operating on 6 volts, all lights work as expected. Minor fluid leaks from the rear end are typical, and to be expected from a 60 year old truck with original running gear. The suspension has been professionally lowered approximately 4 inches for a more modern look and the wide-white wall tires keep an overall classic look all at the same time. This truck will make a great weekend cruiser or car show entrant, or could be the start of a wild, V8 project for the speed enthusiast!
