As we down size our west coast collection and prepare for our retirement, we offer for new ownership our favorite, a rare 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Cameo pick up. It is an Arizona native that has been restored, very well cared for and is in a great #2 condition... Verified by the honest photo's that have been taken the day of this listing. Boasting a period correct, rebuilt 283 CID V-8 with a 350 turbo automatic transmission. The engine compartment with new wiring looks like showroom condition, under the hood as well. New motor mounts, inner fenders, detailed firewall. Aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan (Can be over ridden with a switch) and shroud. Drives respectfully at 180* within our dry climate. New front wind shield, trim and rear glass, mirrors as well. New chrome front bumper and side trim. The frame and under carriage are in very nice clean condition, with no issues. Tires and wheels are like new. New red oak wood bed with stainless trim. The speedometer nor radio are currently working. The engine compartment, cab interior, dash and rear bed have been recently painted and look absolutely wonderful. Brand new quality Ciadella interior including original Cameo seat, door panels, carpet and head liner... All in excellent condition. This is an great opportunity to own a quality classic. This is a great opportunity to own an Arizona west coast native... The very desirable 50's half ton pickup at a reasonable "buy it now" price. No rust issues. It presents itself as an original 1958 Apache, however, boasts an independent front suspension, including a power brake booster and front disc brakes for safety... Drum brakes are on the rear. A front clip was professionally boxed into the frame... Executed exceptionally well, by a real craftsman. Enjoy comfortable and safe highway driving, with a great, straight and tight front suspension. Powered by a fresh small block Chevy and mated to the "bulletproof" 350 turbo automatic transmission... Newer drive shaft. Drives great! All brand new wiring! A new Hayward fuse panel and new designated wiring throughout this beautiful pickup for safety. There also is extra wiring, all clearly marked, for easy AC, power windows, electric fuel pump and many other future options. The undercarriage and frame area is clean, however, not detailed. It has not been spray bombed to hide imperfections and it can be viewed in honesty. Newer dual glass pack mufflers with a nice resonating tone. Original radio, not currently functioning. There is a brand new antenna in place. The glass and window gaskets are in very good condition and glass is clear. It could use new door gaskets. Beautiful Craigar mag wheels, with nice tread on all four tires. Brakes work and function like they should... Sporting a newly rebuilt Rochester quadrajet carburetor. Electronic ignition. New battery. The interior presents itself very well, nice and clean. The dash retains its originality. It has not been hacked up. The heater is in place, the wipers as well. One caveat about true west coast vehicles; The heater and wipers are seldom if ever used here in AZ. The heater will need the rubber coolant hoses and the control hooked up. Panel fitment is very good and the two stage paint is as well with some imperfections. This is definitely an opportunity knocking. With no rust issues, it will be easy to take this 1958 Chevrolet Apache to an investment grade level. Parts are comparably inexpensive and readily accessible...And, it's fun!
