This listing is for a 1985 El Camino Super Sport. 305 V8 with 3 speed automatic. Overall good mechanical condition needing only cosmetic work. I have had it for almost 3 years and used it as a weekend driver with no issues. Odometer shows 45K miles. I assume its at least 145K miles. The good: Mechanically pretty sound and starts right up. Passed smog back in April last year. I have receipts from the prior owner showing a rebuild of the stock 305 several years ago. New A/C components running R134A installed a few months ago, so A/C works, although honestly it doesn't get super cold. Interior is good with newer carpet, trim, & upholstery (although there is a tear in the side of the driver’s seat). Monte Carlos SS dash trim and steering wheel (center cap mounting tabs broken). New window felts. Tires are about 8 month old BFG Radial T/As with vintage Rally Wheels off a late 60s Camaro. All power accessories work (locks, windows, wipers, lights, radio, A/C). Comes with a Snap-on tonneau and roll-on bedliner. Unpainted front spoiler mounted. Also comes with a car cover. Lastly, there is no rust. This is a California car originally sold in Cerritos, CA. It has a clean California title in hand. The bad: Its got a small oil leak, and the check engine light comes on occasionally at start-up. After it gets warmed up, the Paint is bad with lots of scratches, dings and small dents. Temp gauge doesn’t work, but have an aftermarket one mounted. It’ll come with some new exterior trim pieces I was saving for after the repaint…grille, headlight bezels, marker lights, taillights, badges & a good used rear bumper and new bumper bolts. Its listed locally as well, so I reserve the right to cancel this listing. Please ask any and all questions. Buyer will be responsible for coordinating and paying for any shipping fees, taxes, registration, etc. $500 deposit paid via PayPal due immediately at end of the auction. Remainder of balance to be paid in cash in person or via cashier's check within 7 days of end of auction. Vehicle to be picked up no later than 2 weeks after end of the auction. On Jan-10-17 at 12:26:31 PST, seller added the following information: I have uploaded a video to YouTube of the car running and driving. https://youtu.be/nLuevmilSUI

Up for auction today is a 1968 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 Super Sport. This is the real deal matching numbers big block not the all to common clone that so many try to pass off as a SS or Super Sport. 396 ci big block, TH-400 automatic transmission, 12 bolt posi traction rear end, factory air conditioning, power brakes (disc front/ drum rear), power steering, after market high performance intake, Holley 750cfm carbeurator, MSD ignition, roller rockers, straight gear drive, Hedman headers, Flowmaster exhaust, 17" chrome wheels, black vinyl bucket seats, SS badging. If you are looking for a classic muscle car that is comfortable, dependable, beautiful and drives like a dream...this is it. Body on restoration with everything having been gone through and mechanically sound. Body was taken down to bare metal. Very low mileage and garage kept since restoration. Rust free California car. Straight body and excellent paint. This year El Camino has a very low production number of 5190 making them rarer than other model years. Little Know Fact: '68 is the last year of a factory Super Sport. In all later models they were dealer installed options. 1968 was also the first year you could get an El Camino SS, and it is the only year for a separate El Camino SS model. Genuine '68 SS-396s could come with standard Chevy rally wheels, or even with Hplain "dog-dish" hub caps. In '68, disk brakes and tachs/gauges were NOT standard equipment on the SS - you would have to pay extra for those. In fact, the MAJORITY of '68 SS-396s have all drum brakes. All-vinyl Strato bucket seats and center console were optional. I have listed the auction to the best of my ability and am not liable for any discrepencies. Sold as is with no warranty. I am listing these for a friend less computer savy. We highly recommend and encourage you see this car for yourself in person for full inspection.
