Really nice El Camino - ready to drive.1. One family owned, since first year of production from DeAnza Chevy dealer in 19722. Always kept in dry climate. (Riverside CA) and garaged.3. 107 k original miles 4. Complete restoration in 2007 .5. Kept original with modern up-grades. (Radiator, seat belts, air conditioning, etc.)"We have service records going back to the 80s on this car" as stated by the current owner. As you can surmise, this is a well taken care of american classic. The 3 speed automatic transmission and power steering make this Chevy a pleasure to drive and with just over 107k on the odometer it has plenty of road ahead of it. Meticulously restored in 2007, it has remained a beautiful time capsule that is awaiting its next lucky owner. Come put your own eyes on this gem to fully appreciate its gorgeous appearance. It looks and drives exactly how a 1972 El Camino should. Call Doug at 949-887-9600 to make an appointment or ask any questions about this cool Chevy.

The second generation of Chevrolet El Camino’s might just be one of the best trucks ever created. Stylish, timeless and usually armed with plenty of power, these Chevys inspire a cult like following and provide one of the most enjoyable ownership experiences on the planet. This Jet Black 1968 SS396 is an amazing classic that, thanks to its rebuilt low mileage 396 V8 is ready for years of endless cruising. Want to park a killer piece of Americana in your garage for less than HALF the price of a ground-up build? Check out this slick Chevy cruiser! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late ‘60s and early ‘70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the El Camino is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. This one is a very solid canvas that was ready to reflect some smooth finished paint and body work, benefitted from a detailed, body-on restoration which wrapped a striking coat of Jett Black 2-stage PPG into a multi-blocked rust free body. At the front of the truck, the original grille with SS396 emblazoned in large letters and the familiar blue bowtie hangs above as a sorta hood ornament, amber parking lamps and headlights. At the sides of that grille, a wet looking profile centers chrome door handles and traditional squared mirrors between bold “SS396” emblems and bright marker lamps. Behind the rear window, sits a newly Rhino Lined truck bed. And at the back of that bed, a chromed in SS396 emblem adorns the tailgate with a chrome bumper and traditional taillights. I would rate the overall finish on this little truck as a strong 9.7 out of 10. The paint was applied roughly three months ago and was done with great attention to detail. It’s a sturdy PPG Two-Stage that will hold up for many years to come, thanks to the rigorous effort in blocking the body to near perfection and color-sanding the black finish completely flat. The body was prepped by completely stripping it down to the metal, body, door jams and trunk areas were all done to perfection. Zero original white paint is to be found anywhere on this build. The car had very few dings and only needed minor work to bring the body up to near perfection. This is a high-dollar paint job done by one of the top restoration gurus in the area. The paint is applied beautifully on an original bodied example, that appears to have never been hit. Take a look at the shut line pictures toward the end of the body pictures and you will see how nicely everything lines up at the doors, front and rear, the hood and the tailgate. Underside of doors show zero rust. This looks like a completely original bodied SS, that grew up in dry Oklahoma and Southern CA. The undercarriage looks solid and rust free. Again, take a look at the close up pictures. The Chrome Bumpers are newly replated and a sold 10. ENGINE Take a look under the truck’s broad hood and you’ll find the 396 starts right up, runs smooth with gobs of power. The truck is sporting the original manifold and carburetor setup. During the tune-up process all belts, hoses and clamps were replaced. The entire engine was removed to have the engine bay cleaned, stripped and resprayed to its original factory look. Check out the power brake booster and all the nice goodies under the hood. The C4 Transmission shifts crisp and smooth. This is a matching numbers vehicle and we believe the 112K miles on the clock are original to the car. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Naturally, that clean, road-ready mill precedes a clean, road-ready chassis. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory-spec suspension that was partially rebuilt during the truck’s restoration. Power steering makes parking easy and turns are a cinch. Stops are provided by power-assisted drums. And power meets the pavement through a set of rally-style wheels mated to a brand new set of Mastercraft Avenger GT Tires for a nice quiet freeway ride. The car sounds terrific, with a nice subdued rumble. INTERIOR When you pop this pickup’s doors, you’ll find a comfortable cockpit that, in traditional truck fashion, features conservative Black vinyl. Seating is provided by factory bench seating that are wrapped in brand new black vinyl. The seat has been completely rebuilt, providing great support and ultimate comfort. Top dead center, a brand new color-keyed dash. There is no stereo in the dash, but it has also not been hacked up, so the new owner can go old school or modern technology. Brand new headliner, sunvisors Under that seat, fade-free carpet anchors bowtie-branded floor mats between newly installed chromed sill plates. At the sides of that carpet, restored color-keyed doors with brand new traditional chrome handles. The original three-spoked steering wheel was semi-restored and painted to accent the retro-cool look of the overall interior. The entire interior I would rate at a 9.5, it’s all basically brand new. The owner’s brother bought this vehicle around 2005 in Oklahoma where we believe it had been it’s entire life, evidenced by the clean, rust-free components of the car. Structurally, I don’t think you could find a nicer vehicle. We believe the car had only been around the clock once because of the condition of the motor and transmission. The original numbers on the stamp pad were a clue that the engine had never been decked or taken apart. When the brother brought the car back to CA he started the restoration process and then stopped, as it sat for ten years. When they replaced the dash with a new dash they didn’t realize the the VIN number was on that dash and it was discarded. Instead of digging in and doing some research on the car, the DMV simply decided to put a CA VIN number in the car. During our research we found some of the original CA paperwork that showed the original VIN number of the car when it came in from Oklahoma (see pictures). Those numbers are the numbers recorded above and match the numbers on the motor (the last six digits in stamp pad match the Sequential Production Number (the last six digits in the VIN). A California buyer could take the car to the CHP (California Highway Patrol) and have them do a VIN verification matching the number on the engine to what was on the original title when it came into CA. Without a doubt this is one of the cleanest, nicest restorations I have encountered in a very long time. The car starts up immediately, does not smoke and runs like a swiss watch. The fit and finish is exceptional, the ride quality is superb. I have been a concour judge at many venues here in Southern CA and have been involved in all types of restoration for the past 20 years. This is a really nice #2+ Show/Driver type of vehicle that will be a lot of fun for the new buyer. There are only a couple of small things to get this show ready. I would not hesitate to get in this truck and drive it cross country. Clean enough to show, comfortable enough to drive and powerful enough to put a smile on your face, this wonderful 396 El Camino offers a little something for every kind of enthusiast. If you’re ready to experience the muscle car era from a different perspective, don’t miss the chance to own this ’68 Chevy El Camino. I am helping a friend sell this truck and it is available for viewing and test drive if you are in the Southern CA area. For additional information or questions call Frank at 949-310-6262. 1970 EL CAMINO - Purchased new from Eddie Hopper Chevrolet in Garden Grove, CA on November 16, 1970 - the original owner was a decorated WWII veteran and drove it for 35 years - when he passed, his son-in-law began restoring the car - this was a true labor of love and respect - there is no stone unturned - he pulled the motor and trans when the car was painted and he had all the seals and hoses done - headers and flow masters - new wiring harness - new 4 barrel carburetor (I have the original) - new am/fm OPG (original parts group) with fresh speakers in the new kick panels and behind the seat (I have the original am/fm radio) full interior, done in leather - any parts replaced were done with OPG replacements and I have the originals to go with the car (including the original cast exhaust manifolds) new spindles and disc brakes in the front - original owners manual - original bill of sale and every registration from the last 45 years - NEVER crashed or bent. I bought this car to drive a few days a week - but when this car arrived and I took it to the local hotrod restoration shop - they agreed with me, this car is a beautiful time capsule and while you can drive it (it drives smooth and straight - he redid the front suspension / control arms etc.) It would be a crime to drive this car too much AND you sure wouldn't want to destroy the value by swapping motors / trans etc. - This car is a beautiful piece of history - NOT a spot of rust - NOT one ding - FIT and alignment is PERFECT - the paint is FLAWLESS - the body is laser STRAIGHT - all the chrome / stainless / bumpers are done - tilt wheel - always covered and garaged - as you can see on the bill of sale - this is an undisputed REAL SS 396 - NOT a clone ! I am going to buy another el camino that I can freely drive - this one is TOO NICE. What is left to do: the rear sway bar bushings are beginning to crack - the dash light bulb is out on the left turn signal indicator and clock (clock works and keeps time !!) - feel free to ask questions and ask for additional photos - if the car doesn't sell - I am going to consign this beauty to Mechum Auctions NOTE: I would rather see this car stay in CA and be able to keep it's original black and yellow license plates.

Super Rare Factory 454SS '73 El Camino Custom There are resto-mods, mild-customs and occasionally something like the Street Beast comes along. It is a thundering 454 cubic-inch V8 equipped 1973 Chevy El Camino SS with the reliable TH400, which took a turn on the wild side a short while back – and was ultimately transformed into a full-fledged street custom. In fact, this street custom with 61,436 miles on the odometer sports a factory-correct 454 engine, according to VIN 1D80Y32455661. It was rebuilt at 59,000 original miles, which included new forged pistons, rods, crank, roller rockers, valves and a mild street cam. It is an over-the-top build using aftermarket aesthetics and performance add-ons – however, it is much more than just another showstopper at the local circuit. The high-performance 454 V8 performs great on the street through the linear rpm band. It is complemented by full-length headers and cooled by a BeCool aluminum four-core radiator with Flex fan and an electric pusher fan (with an aluminum overflow tank). Other goodies include an Edlebrock 1405-polished carburetor with manual choke that mates to an Edlebrock polished RPM manifold, a mild-street cam, Hi-torque starter, electronically controlled cutouts with a dual exhaust system, dual batteries with conversion box, chrome front-control struts, Wilwood master brake cylinder, flamed valve covers and braided stainless lines throughout. An electronically controlled LED lighting package seals the custom theme under the hood. There’s also a custom trailer hitch. The Pete Santini custom paint and body work in a Ford Expedition metallic black finish is especially sweet (completed in January 2015 for $10,000), thanks to an arrow-straight original body and hours of professional prep by Santini, which included molding in a rear roll-pan, a buttoned-down working hood scoop and cool sunken taillights. Underneath the body, reveals a 10-bolt rear-end with an aluminum-fin cover, a standard limit-slip diff, boxed-steel trailing arms with adjustable uppers and a chromoly 4130 rear sway bar. The red and black interior is as dramatic, too. While it is heater and A/C delete currently, the interior features a chrome-plated, webbed steering wheel, B&M racket-style shifter, Auto Meter gauges, JL 12-inch subwoofers, an Alpine crossover, a Pyramid amp, and Pioneer door speakers. The beauty of owning this wild and crazy ’73 El Camino is that it is a one-off custom that is not easily duplicated. While it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, it is an absolute attention getter, and surely a contender for a podium finish at the custom car show. 0 0 1 840 4789 Quick Dog Productions 39 11 5618 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE CONTACT: For additional information call BlueChip Motorcars at (949) 496-3000. About Factory Correct Cars offered by BlueChip Motorcars BlueChip Motorcars periodically offers classic cars that may be listed as Factory Correct, or Numbers Matching. Because there are many opinions about the term(s) used to describe these types of listings, allow us to explain how BlueChip Motorcars comes to that assessment. As you may know, depending on the source, the term “matching numbers, or factory correct,” may mean many things to many people. Purists might define it as a car with every possible window crank, dash knob or even every nut and bolt is original to the car from the time it left the production line. Although some classic cars do exist in that rare condition, most do not. The majority of classic cars on the market were at some point in their ownership, restored or repaired with NOS parts (new old stock) or licensed reproduction parts. Whenever the information is available to us about the use of these parts, BlueChip Motorcars will gladly pass it along to the potential buyer. BlueChip Motorcars uses the term Factory Correct or Numbers Matching only to distinguish a vehicle where the engine casting code corresponds with the VIN and Cowl Tag code. If these codes tell the same story about the car in question, BlueChip Motorcars then considers it to be a Factory Correct or Numbers Matching vehicle. However, unless otherwise stated, the transmission, rear end, and transmission may or may not be original to the car. BlueChip Motorcars welcomes all potential buyers to verify all the information with a qualified expert. We would be happy to email you all the numbers that are obtainable on any vehicle where the term Factory Correct or Matching Numbers is used.

This vehicle has a completely rebuild motor set up for a street rod. Competition Cams, Daemon carb, hooker headers to straight dual exhaust. 4 on the floor trans. This car is a true American Muscle car. The car does need a little work. There are a few rust spots here and there on the body and it could use a new paint job if you are looking for a show car. It has been in California for many years and is in good condition. It needs a new ignition as the old fireball finally gave up, and needs new carb seals. My father loved this car and spent a ton of time and money rebuilding the motor before he passed. I have a complete set of new chrome trim and mirrors included if requested.
