Here is a beautiful and original, 1998 Corvette Indy Pace Car Convertible that has spent most, if not all of its life in California and then sunny and dry Arizona! It has 27,700 original, pampered miles and still has its original paint, interior and top and it's beautiful! The 82nd running of the Indy 500 on May 24, 1998, marked the 4th time the Chevrolet Corvette had been selected as the Indy 500 Pace car. Other than mandatory safety features, the Corvette needed no modifications to meet the pace car specifications. The 1998 Corvette's color-shifting "Radar Blue" paint and bright Yellow wheels presented some of the most extreme looks for an Indy Pace Car. Chevrolet produced only 1,163 Limited Edition Pace Car Replicas and of those only 616 were automatics. The Z4Z Pace Car option package cost $5,039. This was my wife's fun car for the past 7 years and we have thoroughly enjoyed it! It is an accident free and unmolested body with it's original paint finish and the original decals in place. The CARFAX is clean with no issues. These Pace Cars were all loaded with most options available and this one includes the desirable Automatic transmission.
