1963 Chevy Corvette Split Window Coupe (Survivor)Original Fuel Injection Perfect birdcage(checked with boroscope)Correct Color CodesRiverside RedBlack Interior. Discovered a repair on front end of the car, see picture. Front end was in no way replaced, but a repair is pictured. Price is lowered to reflect this, dont want to mislead anyone. This car is a nice driver. Everything works, headlights, tach, gauges, brakes all gone through, tune up, fluids, carb rebuilt. The car currently has a 67 327/350hp motor in it. I bought the car recently because I simply had to have it. I was in the market for a 63 Split Window Automatic, Power Steering Power Brake car... I ended up with this...just because I had the original block. I am a avid C2 collector and have been scouring the market for a no hit perfect frame, perfect birdcage car. Believe what you want, but I inspect these cars for the corvette forum guys all the time 9 out of 10 times they have frame kick up issues or bird cage issues. Once rust manifests itself on the inside of the frame, forget it...time for a new frame. They all rust from the inside out. In any event, I had a RF March build date block rusting away in my shed at the summer house for many years.. I seen this car pop up for sale, and well, the VIN looked oddly familiar. Sure enough, I had this cars missing short block. I dropped it at the machine shop to have it checked out and it came with a clean bill of health, will need a .030 overbore. I'm getting it cleaned up and shipped back here. In the event it sells, I'll ship the shortblock to your door. So, we've got the original, born with shortblock. The trans is a T10 with a December 62 build date and no vin. Technically according to NCRS, this is correct, but too big of a spread for me . It's the original posi unit in the car. Car runs and drives the way it should. No issues. Trying finding another NO HIT Fuelie Survivor with a perfect frame and bird cage....good luck. CALL ME ANYTIME 312 622 7533 Cars history, sold new in May of 63 in Texas. Original motor spun a bearing due to throttle sticking 1971. Car was stored from 1971 to 1987. Car was sold to a collector in IL in 1987. I bought a 63 Roadster from a collector in IL, (came with a extra engine, this cars original engine.) Motor pulled and swapped with 67 Corvette 327/350hp. Repainted original Riverside Red. Pro Team Corvette bought the car in 1995, sold to a family in Ohio. Had the original fuel injector and heads when it was sold to Pro Team. Pro Team sold the air cleaner and injector unit off the car. I have contact with the first and second owners. I bought the car on the East Coast, went through all the mechanicals and brakes. Correct 923A riverside red and correct STD black interior. The car appears to retain all of its original body panels including the original radiator support, original inner fenders, original emblems and holes in the original fenders along with the orig high redline tachometer proving the pedigree of this special car! The original frame is rust free! When I say rust free, I mean rust free. The car still shows bare metal on the frame when the car new. Kickups are excellent as well as the #2 and #3 crossmember. These cars are going up daily and if you have looked at restored FI cars then I am sure you know that the prices on those! This car is not INEXPENSIVE. I could put the correct motor in the car and buy the injector for $10,000...and the car is worth well...you know whats it worth.
