Since a 1967 corvette L89 original car is out of most people's budget and since there were only 16 L-89 corvettes ever made and however many L89 vettes are left are in private collections and as i said worth 2 to 3 million dollars and if i had an orig L89 car i would be scared to drive it ! Since i couldnt afford to buy an original L89 i have the next best thing! Its to have 1967 Corvette L89 Recreation custom made correcly with correct gm parts. I have been wanting to build a L89 for along time so i started hoarding all the correct parts to make this Recreation a date code casting number correct vette. I have well over $180,000 in buying the vette, parts and finally having it restored ! I had alot of fun and people really like the Vette anywhere i go and has a ton of power and a great sounding side exhaust. I am changing my garage around and going a different direction in cars and thats the only reason im selling it. I have receipts and have a bunch of pictures while the restoration was being performed You are looking at a very correct professionally Restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible / Hardtop Recreated. I had bought a very nice orig 1967 corvette I started off with a very nice 1967 corvette convertible / hardtop. Its a accident free Damage free body and frame and i drove it for a year until i had it restored. Its a factory Marina Blue car with a white / light blue interior. Its a low optioned car. The speedo shows the orig mileage of 55,915. The dash is orig and a factory gm big block tach and 80 psi oil pressure gauge was added to be correct. The steering wheel is the factory GM walnut wheel. U69 am/fm radio,The vette comes with the CO7 Auxiliary Hardtop which is also in very nice orig condition. Alot of Gm NoS parts used in the restoration and i had what ever rebuildable orig parts restored and used very few repop parts in this restoration. The prior owner had really took exceptional care of the vette before i bought it. The paint is about 10 or 12 yrs old and the car does get driven a few thousand miles in the summer so the paint will need touch ups and there are a few small hair line cracks as fiberglass does move. I would just have the paint touched up and detailed. Im not a big car show guy i drive my vehicles but wouldnt take much to get it to the next level ! Can drive anywhere and is very reliable!!! The Engine is a L71 427 /435 hp date correct code and casting number , The block casting # 3904351 Complete professionally rebuilt to correct 1967 chevrolet L71 427/ 435 hp spec. The motor was dyno tuned and also had the Tri Power set set up and was correctly tuned . Having the side exiting exhaust sounds great not to loud but has a great rumble to it. The Gm / Winters snowflake L-89 heads are correct date code and casting # correct . The head casting # 3904392. I started with a nice orig set of virgin heads no welding or repairs were on the heads. They were also rebuild when the engine was professionally rebuilt. The factory Gm / Winters snowflake GM Tri-Power Intake date code and casting # correct. Casting # 3894373 no repairs ever and still has the great factory aluminum finish. Holley factory replacement carbs 3x2 carbs. Professionally tuned and they run great! Sitting on top is a Factory NOS Flash chrome plated air cleaner. The factory K-66 Transistorized Ignition was installed. The distributor is a NOS Gm part # 1111263 its correct date and is the Race steel ball bearing version. Along with that they installed a NOS k66 wire harness and a nos amplifier was used but first new internals were installed prior to installing in the vette. The transmission is a Muncie M-21 4speed close ratio correctly dated and casting number. The drivetrain has been updated to the correct big block axle shafts and has a professionally rebuilt center section with a posi trac carrier and a correct 3.70 gear ratio. All U- joints are the spicer HD U joints on half shafts and driveshaft and also has the correct Orig Gm big rear sway bar. Frame was soda blasted painted correct black, all new ball joints, body bushings, stainless steel fuel line and brake lines, new brake system stainless steel bushed calipers done by Lone star brakes, rotors, seals, bearings, the frame and front, rear suspension corrctly detailed. New nos Gm tank and spare tire cover. Has correct Big DC code rally wheels and dated coded for the car and has a newer set of BFG red line tires . Engine compartment was restored back to orig factory look. Orig Gm 4 core Harrison Radiator was recored with correct size core , Nos Gm upper and lower hoses were used while the heatercore hoses are repops to carry the correct look. Gm nos engine wire harness was used. The engine bay was restored and looks correct. Im sure i am missing something or forgot to list something . I just want who ever is interested in the vette to know as much as possable before buying or contacting me. Selling my Original 37,000 mile 1986 Corvette Convertible due to purchasing a building for my business. We have fallen in love with this car, pure beauty ,drop the top blast to cruise around in. Nice exterior paint leather interior nice showing some wear no holes in the carper or seats. there is a 1/8 hole in the drivers side seat back at the very bottom, again very very small. Appears never to be smoked in, no smells or evidence. Every option works, power windows, power driver seat, power mirrors, power rear cover release, tilt/tele tight no play in the steering. Factory Bose am/fm cassette player the fader cuts out at times. Fairly normal for gm radios in this time. The gauges work correctly No issues, Has like new Goodyear tires mounted on newer chrome wheels with no curb damage. The 350 tune port injection motor runs fantastic, has No leaks, the automatic transmission shifts correctly. no check engine light on, everything works on the car unless I listed the concern. The car handles awesome, quit car for a convertible. Purchesed this car for some fun which we had, did some preventive maintenance Fuel pump and filter, battery and alternator in past 6 months. The following was done due to very very minor seepage transmission tail shaft seal, valve cover gaskets, timing cover gasket, and intake gasket all very, very minor. Most people would probably not be to concerned. I take care of my cars. Own a restoration business, have the experience, and judge national shows. The car is really nice over all does have some flaws, compared to what I've seen these are easy repairs. The top has the rear window yellowing,couple of pin holes. A new top and seals would be nice touch, not needed if you leave the top down never drive in the rain.Can wash no leaks, the rubber seals are cracked normal for these years of cars. The other issue the rear muffler has a 1/8 hole in the pipe coming out of the muffler, pr of new mufflers would solve this problem. Again would not know by sound, just pointing out the facts. Please keep in mind while looking at my car, I am being forward and picking the car apart. We get compliments all the time when we take the car out.
