PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come look at it all you want to. Your expectations may not align with the way I see the car as a seller. "I advise you to look at all on line cars this way!HOW IS THE PAINT? To me its very nice, its a medium blue with lots of metallic. The shine is good, I see no rust bubbles, dents or dings, the body looks straight to me as I look down the sides. Under a critical eye inspection you find some specs and a tiny flaw, but I consider it nice paint. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? New seat covers, new headliner, new carpet, front door panels are new, dash pad nice. Shifter bezel has some pitting on the consol. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its starts and runs good, I hear no knocks or rattles. Past owner said it was a 396, but when I checked the codes it was a 454. It has a nice looping cam, when engine have a bigger cam it takes longer to warm up and they surge a little at low RPMs. The carburetor is a new Holley with a electric choke. Exhaust system looks good and has the Muscle Car sound. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting Turbo 350, it does shift more firm than stock, because a shift kit has been added in my opinion. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its a tuff 12 bolt with positive traction and a 3:73 gearing. IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT? No, but its a good replica. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORKS! WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS, but is fast because of the lower gearing. HORN NOT WORKING! GAS GAUGE WORKS! OIL GAUGE WORKS! HEATER BLOWER works, but the control cables on the heater box need replaced! HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers look like new, door handles look like new, vent window chrome has a few pits. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303. I have garage at my home, I do have dealer license, but no retail lot or show room.HOWE DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drives good, it is not power steering.HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? It has drums on all 4 wheels and it has a power booster. Improvements could be made on the brakes. A disc kit on front would help and a vacuum tank or pump for the booster would help. The engine has a big cam, that means less vacuum, the booster works on vacuum, so less vacuum means more foot force. They are fine for me, I am accustom to old cars with old technology brakes. Before we begin this ad, we would like to address a mystery that has surrounded the 1970 Chevelle SS for years. In 1970, approximately 51,000 SS 396, RPO Z25 Chevelles were manufactured. However, at every car show, cruise, or auctions nationwide, there are hundreds always on display. How can this be? The answer is very simple. They are clones or reproductions! The 1970 Chevelle SS is one of the most counterfeited models in the muscle car hobby. It is also one of the easiest to reproduce. There are absolutely no proprietary numbers, codes, vin indicators, etc. exposed or hidden on an SS that definitively prove the authenticity, that cannot be faked or reproduced. In addition, virtually every SS component is now available from aftermarket suppliers. Building a clone is as easy as ordering parts and assembling the car.
