This is a very nice driver quality El Camino. The engine starts quickly and runs smoothly and the transmission shifts well. It could be used for everyday driver. Everything works including all lights, radio, and the heat and A/C works. I am going to describe many things updated on the car, but if you have questions I suggest you reach me at 901 277-3678 to discuss and get an honest description. I have 100% feedback and always have and intend to keep i that way. The El Camino is listed to sell and will make someone a great vehicle. Here is a list of updated features on this El Camino: -The paint is new and has been wet sanded and buffed. -All four wheels have new trim rings and center caps (pic) -The brakes and brake lines are new and work great. -The tires have less than 1000 miles on them. -The heater core has been replaced and also a new heater fan installed. -The radiator has been replaced and car runs cool. -The power steering pump has been replaced. -There is a newer battery and alternator. That is a list of more major things that have been done and lots of other small pieces have been replaced over the last few years. This is not a show car even thought the pictures look so nice. While the odometer only shows around 8500 miles I think we can all assume it has rolled over to 108k miles. I have shown a pic of a crack in the dash which is the only blemish on the interior. The carpet is good and floor mats new. The headliner is nice(pic) and the original jack and spare with cover is behind the seat(Pic). The radio works and the console is nice. The door locks work and there is an owners manual along with two sets of keys. The wheels are all beautiful with nearly new tires and while the pics don't show it you'll find a few dings in the trim around the bed and a few dents in the bed. There is not rust on this El Camino. The engine compartment in complete while not detailed(pics). This is a wonderful driving El Camino and well worth the money. MAKE US AN OFFER!! YOU NEVER KNOW!! 1985 Choo Choo Customs Chevrolet SS El Camino. We've had this beauty for about 3 years and are the third owner. Had planed to Pro Street it all the way but have changed our minds. Our SRT-10 pick-up is getting our attention now so this one has to go. This is an actual Choo Choo Customs SS El Camino. It was a very original car when we acquired it. It still is with the exception of the beautiful Hose of Color Pearl White custom paint job. The original body lines were retained. The car body was professionally stripped completely, epoxy primed, high build polyester primed, block sanded, sealed and then painted with House of Color Pearl White. Then clear coated and lots of clear coat is left if you want to go all the way to a mirror glass finish as we had planned. It is really sharp and the pearl looks fantastic and changes colors subtlety in the sun or under the lights. The car looked to have all its original body panels when stripped. Looks to have all the original glass. We have not touched the original engine and drive train other than fluid changes: oil & oil filter, transmission fluid with filter and the rear end oil. Suspension looks to be all original except the rear shocks. The interior is all original with the exception of the door pulls. There are plenty of pictures under the hood, the under carriage of the car and the interior so you can see the actual condition and that both are virtually untouched. This car runs, drives and stops fantastically. No mechanical issues know. Tires & brakes have less than 100 miles on them. Lots of factory options and all work. Car has the original emission control system & smog pump which is frozen but there. As we planned on going on with a Pro Street car, the interior, suspension & drive train were next so we haven't really done anything to them. Here's what issues with the car that we know. It is missing a radio but we are including a new OEM Delco AM/FM Cassette with equalizer from an 86 model. The air conditioner has been converted to 134 and blows cold. The system has a flexible duct to the center and dash vents that has deteriorated and heat or air will not come out of them very well. Pretty easy fix. The rear rails behind the rear wheels have some rust through. The rest of the underneath is very solid including the floor pans. The driver side seat belt retracter is broken. The front drip rails are missing. The cruise control is functional but is missing the rod from the actuator to the carb. New or used parts are easily available for all these issues. The pictures on the DropBox link show all these issues clearly. Ask any questions you may have. We'll be glad to talk with you on the phone as well. Runs and drives fine. 350 motor with a holley 4 barrel carburetor which is brand new as of May 14th 2015 no miles on it. 350 has a cam job and was installed in 901 with 10k miles on it. 350 turbo trans shifts well. Little rust non on floor pans or bed. Door panels have been removed due to condition all emblems abd chrome kept. Car has 2 sets of full chrome and new weatherstripping and vaulve covers ready to be installed. All light working except turn signals. $20 fix just needs a new switch. Dent in passenger side door and windshield is slightly chracked. All in all a good easy restoration project for a father and son or what have you. Pour all my money in it and made it a solid running vehicle sadly the gravy train stopped short of the finish and i was unable to do interior and body work and thats why i am selling. PICK UP ONLY
