This truck is unique among 70-72 C10’s in several ways: Acquired in late 2012 from original owner. Restoration began in early 2013 and recently completed. Amazing photograph: original owner took photo with his family in front of this truck the day he brought it home from the dealer in 1971! Freemont, CA built rust-free truck ideal for a frame-off restorationAn original ‘factory’ black, 402 big block, short-bed, stepside C10 truck -- rareThe “option sticker” was still intact on the inside of the gloveboxAmazingly, the factory “build sheet” was found in the springs behind the original bench seat. It was extremely fragile and recovered in pieces (see photo). Important details are visible verifying VIN, options, build location, etc.No expense spared throughout restoration. Highlights mechanical / exterior: 402 big block rebuilt .060 over, balanced, with beefed up components including forged pistons, steel crank kit, HEI ignition, aluminum intake, Quick fuel 680 cfm carb, “Thumper” cam with lifters and matching valve springs, ARP rod bolts, hardened pushrods, Sanderson ceramic coated (black) headers, and custom exhaust through FlowMasters. Dyno’d at 460+ HP and over 460 torque. Complete best-in-class Vintage Air system including full front-runner serpentine kit including high output alternator and new power steering pump. New 4 core aluminum (painted black) radiator complemented by dual electric fans and Vintage Air trinary switch. Replacement anodized factory power steering booster and all components including new stainless steel break lines. Factory front disc and rear drum brakes completely rebuilt. Suspension / brakes are essentially stock: all springs, components, shocks, bushings etc replaced with factory parts. Truck is NOT lowered or raised. Fuel tank relocated during restoration to under-bed location in rear. Beautiful new oak bed with all stainless steel retaining components. P255/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s on new 15x8 Chevy wheelsNew Yellow Top battery not shown in pictures.Frame and other relevant components were professionally sand blasted and black powder coated. NOS outer front grill. Highlights interior: Original “custom” interior package was replaced with optional “red” factory Cheyenne package, including:Full woodgrain gauge package including factory tachometer;Woodgrain covered glove box and Cheyenne badging.Factory style (but rare) bucket seats and matching console with cup holders. Matching red dash pad, door panels, armrests, headliner, color coded seat belts.Original factory ‘Wonder Bar’ radio still in truck. Functional but needs work. New glass including optional split rear window.Black factory replacement carpet.Special vintage Corvette wood steering wheel restored to perfection. Other misc items to note: 115,000 original miles before restoration began.Block and heads are “correct” Chevrolet truck coded 402 big block (with correct date codes), but it is not the numbers matching block. Original owner switched the motor with another 402 equipped 1971 truck many years ago. Remaining drivetrain was original. Turbo 400 was rebuilt and original 3.07 “open” rearend was rebuilt with new internals: bearings, axles, ring, pinion and spider/carrier to make it a 3.73 posi-trac. Original sheet metal used in restoration except: (1) driver’s side door replaced with 70-72 C10 truck door (due to previously “fixed” dent in original door); (2) hood replaced with quality after-market “big block” hood (original rust free hood was accidentally destroyed early in the restoration), and (3) tailgate replaced. This truck was restored to look factory, with the only visible external non-stock appearance being the big block hood. The interior is meant to be stock using then optional Cheyenne trim components. The only exception is the Vintage Air conditioning controller and the special wood steering wheel. Of course lifting the hood shows numerous performance modifications. This truck has never before been listed for sale. I'm not interested in any trades, partial or otherwise. Please, serious cash inquiries only.

1973 Chevrolet Chevy C-10 C10 Cheyenne GMC 2wd Long bed Pickup Pick Up Truck Up for sale is a very clean, very original, 1973 Chevy Cheyenne C-10. It's a standard cab, long bed, 2wd truck. It has a 77' 305 motor in it and I believe a numbers matching TH400 transmission (I have yet to confirm the tranny however). The truck's Odometer says 14587, but that is unconfirmed. I got the truck with the engine installed already however nothing was really hooked up. The previous owner started the swap but never finished it. I started tinkering with it and after turning it by hand I got it to fire up for about 10 seconds with no adjustments to the distributor or carb. I didn't want to run it too long without everything else installed. This truck was bought Brand New in Sevierville TN and then made its way over to Corryton TN. It comes with the original glovebox paperwork and dealer literature as seen in the photos. I believe I'm the 3rd owner. The truck has a clean Tennessee Title in my name and it is currently registered. This has been an east Tennessee truck it's whole life ENGINE:The engine isn't number matching but was supposedly pulled running fine from another truck to pop into the C10. The carb is a Holley 1850-4 and I purchased the factory rebuild kit for it. I performed about half of the rebuild to test out the motor. I installed a new mechanical fuel pump along with a fuel filter and tested the motor uncorked with no exhaust manifolds installed. It does fire up and sounds strong. It has a Holley Intake manifold. It has an HEI distributor setup so there is no external ignition coil (The 73' model year didn't have HEI from the factory I believe). I put brand new spark plugs gapped at 35 and new plug wires on it. I also installed a new alternator for it. I performed a full synthetic oil change and got a new filter. I have headers for the truck that you can see in the photos. The factory single exhaust system is present, so you can take whatever exhaust route you'd like. I don't have the factory exhaust manifold however the piping goes to the engine bay as it should. The fan on the motor is aftermarket however I believe I have the factory fan as you can see in the parts photos. That will be included as well. The power steering pump is not installed but comes with the truck. All of the cooling system parts appear to be here as well. I have some brand new Radiator hoses to go along with it. I did not hook up the cooling system to test the engine which is why I only ran it for a limited time. The stamp on the front passenger side of the block shows the code "C7F433451 T0322UTB". This looks to be decoded to: C = Chevy truck7 = 1977F = Flint plant433451 = sequence number T = Tonawanda plant03 = March22 = 22nd day of the monthUTB = 1977 305 from C-10 ENGINE BAY:The wiring appears to all be there. The fuel line is routed from the tank however I am unsure of the status of the fuel tank level and contents. I tested the motor with a fuel line to a fuel tank to ensure I was feeding it clean fuel. It does not come with a battery as I was using one from another car of mine to test it out. TRANSMISSION:The tranny has plenty of fluid in it that looks pretty clean. I have NOT confirmed what type it is nor what year it is from. REAR END:I believe it is a "12 bolt" rear end". AC / HEATThe blower motor runs fine but I have not played with the internal Heat/air controls. This was a factory AC car and comes with the equipment shown in the photos (I believe it has everything required to hook up the AC). BRAKES:It has front discs and rear drums. It has power brakes. The master Cylinder has brake fluid but I haven't really tested them as I got it towed from the previous owner to me. The E-brake works well. BODY:There is a rust here and there but the cab itself doesn't have major rust, which is a good thing! Please look at photos to understand the rust it has. I believe it still wears its original paint. Overall it is very nice for a 43 year old Tennessee Truck. It is missing a few trim pieces here and there but not much. I believe it has a tow package installed as well. It comes with one GM key that works in both doors and the ignition. All dorrs open and shit fine. The hood latch works great. The tailgate works great. The body has NOT been washed by me. I'd love to wash it and take photos but it's been too cold. Based looking closely at it, it looks like it will shine up very nicely. INTERIOR:The interior is in good shape overall considering its age and is very complete. When I bough it it had a "Chevy" seat cover on it. Under that I found the seat very nice for its age! The seat has some tears on the drivers-side bottom cushion and the seatback is very nice. The Door Panels are in excellent shape. Both doors lock and the handles function properly. Both windows roll down and up. Both doors have functional fresh air vents. There are minor cracks on the dash and the headliner is fully in tact however it is sagging. The aftermarket radio powers up. The horn works. The Windshield wipers work fine. The carpet looks to be original and is in decent shape. The plastic/glass on the gauges is very clear. The Interior lights and headlights don't seem to power up when you turn the key but I'm guessing it is a fuse or a loose wire. The turn signals click as they should. I have not really tried to get the lighting working as I was more focused on verifying that the motor was solid. WHEELS:Nice wheels with center caps. The tires hold pressure fine. The front-passenger tire was not holding pressure well so I got it repaired at a tire shop. THINGS IT IS MISSING:Flywheel cover(Missing), Valve Cover Oil Cap (Missing), Radiator Cap (Missing), Valve Cover mounting hardware (Some of the hold downs are missing), Windshield Wiper (only has one). All of these are very small things that should not be hard to find or buy. I was focused on confirming that the engine was good so I never bought these. This is an honest, solid, good project truck. It must be towed home. I'm happy to provide a free tow up to 100 miles using my AAA membership. The buyer must be present with cash to utilize the free tow. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility, but I'll of course make myself available for the shipper and help him load. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
