1989 Chevrolet Silverado K-2500 Heavy Duty 3/4 Ton 4x4 I have owned this rig for the past couple of months so I will do my best to answer any and all questions you may have. It is in very nice condition for its age and it sure gets many compliments when it leaves my garage. The exterior has some battle scars, scratches, dings and dents? It is 26 years old...so please keep that in mind while reading the rest of my auction. I believe this is a 4th generation Silverado and it was only manufactured for two years from 1988-1989 with the distinct four front horizontal headlights. The overall condition is very nice and very presentable. The interior is the only thing I personally think that takes away from the truck. The bench seat needs to be re-done professionally as well as the carpet/door panels and headliner. I have talked with other truck owners who think it looks good the way it is. They recommended a good seat cover, cleaning the carpet and leaving the rest alone? I cant do it...the truck is in too nice of condition to be driven around with a ripped up front bench seat/dirty carpet/beat up door panels and a headliner that seen better days. If those items were to be removed and repaired professionally the truck would be obviously priced higher. Depending upon where you reside in the United States I would think approximately $1500 you should be able to get the interior redone and looking great. That is just an estimate, depending on location, material choices and hourly shop prices? I don't know if all the #'s match on the truck. I did check into the R.P.O. codes listed on the sticker in the glove box. What I did find out is the truck came from the factory with the following items listed below. 1. 350/5.7 8 cylinder T.B.I. Throttle Body Injection2. 400 Turbo 3 speed Automatic Transmission3. 4.10 Rear Gear Ratio4. 9.5 inch Rear?5. Factory "Heavy Duty" Package???6. Intermittent Wipers7. Extra Large 34 gallon Fuel Tank8. Full Gauge Package without Tachometer9. Manual Locks/Windows10. Air-Condition...............Not working?11. Am/Fm Radio..............Not working?.....J.V.C. AM/FM Compact Disc Unit Installed with 4 speakers Those were only some of the R.P.O. codes I looked up online. I have had some work done to the truck since I purchased it in June 2015. Here is a list of new parts installed: A. Oil ChangeB. Fuel Filter/Air FilterC. Oil Pressure Sending UnitD. Tail Light LensesE. Vision Works 16 x 8 Chrome 8 Lug Wheels....with chrome spline style lock lugs and KeyF. Cooper 265/75/16 Load E 10 Ply R.W.L. Tires..........Mounted and High Speed Balanced G. Hub Centric Wheel AdaptersH. Center Console with Locking Storage The front pinion seal is leaking gear oil that will be fixed next week. I ordered a new brake pedal pad and drivers side circuit board for the drivers side tail light via e/bay. It is missing the fuse box lid cover I am trying to locate a replacement for it? The windshield was replaced a couple years back. The exhaust has a nice rumble to it for a single style muffler. The 4 wheel drive works without any issues. Otherwise it runs very well without any other leaks. The transmission shifts out nice into all 3 front gears as well as reverse. It starts right up and just passed Idaho D.M.V. smog test last week with no issues. This truck is too nice to be parked outside. It takes up a whole garage and it barely fits lengthwise without the garage door hitting it. It has been repainted in the past. Not the best paint job it has some imperfections in it. It is a 15-20 footer when it comes to the quality on the re-paint. It almost has a wine/purple hue to it when the sun hits it just right. It is not just red in color I think it is closer to what I mentioned above. The windows are tinted I think it would look better without it but that is just my opinion. The tint job is old and has some nicks and scratches in it. The rear window has a slide in it for extra ventilation. The back bumper is pushed in and dented. The drivers door lock needs to be corrected. It works but needs attention. One of the back license tag lights is out of it's original socket.....it is still operable and still lights up the rear tag. The box mounted in the bed is a working 2 key Knnack brand tool box. The previous owner put fender flares on all 4 wheel wells. In closing.....I believe it has always been an Idaho/Western truck.....Very little rust for a old vehicle. The truck bed is scratched dinged and dented but under the bed mat it has no visible signs of rot or rust. The mileage says 150 thousand on the odometer and as good as it drives and as tight as the front end feels I still find it hard to believe? Maybe it is only 150k on the clock but.........I just wanted to be honest and realistic? The previous owner stated he owned the truck for four years and drove it approximately four thousand miles. I purchased new A/C Delco spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, pcv valve, and a new/rebuilt starter. The truck runs so well and it just passed the smog and emissions test I didn't want to mess with something that's not broke? I will include all those new parts in the sale as well as a set of 4 wheels and tires that came with the truck. The tires are 265/75/16 in fair shape with 16 x 6.5 8 lug stock Chevy truck slotted aluminium wheels. The wheels are in nice condition. I will put them in the bed of the truck with a locked chain through them for security purposes. I am not sure if the shipper will allow anything in the bed during the delivery of the truck if you decide to ship it? Either way if you buy the truck we will figure out a way to get those wheels/tires to you if that is going to be a deal breaker? The last picture shows the truck with the old wheels/tires and old taillights. Please note that this is a 26 year old truck and some of the pictures make it look like it just came out of the showroom....That is not the case with this truck it has many scratches, dings, dents, and other imperfections in the paint. Both the interior and exterior are showing signs of age. This truck is being sold as is where is with no warranty implied or expressed. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! I have it listed locally so if it sells that way I will remove the auction A.S.A.P. All shipping fees will be the buyers responsibility. Please check my feedback score. I have been buying and selling on e/bay since 2007. Please do not waste both of our time if you are truly not genuine with going through with the purchase. These listings cost all of us money in the long run. Lets be professional about it and lets make a deal! Respectfully,Coogan 1031
